Molar and Partial Molar Pregnancy Support Group

Nauseas, exhausted, grouchy..... Always exhausted and the other 2 come and go.

Vicki

My HCG dropped to 38 :happydance:
I asked my OB if it's taking too long (I'm at 6 weeks post d&c); but he seems happy with my number. He said as long as there is not a plateau or a rebound, it's OK. I also asked about the vitamins, and he said, we'll come to that later. I think he's waiting for the negative, as you've suggested before.
So, another happy weekend for me.
I hope you'll all have a great time as well!

Ece: hooray! That is a really good drop! So happy for you.

Afm: exhaustion has set in. I am not motivated to do anything.

Excellent number Ece! Closer to negative! Congratulations!

Ece- great number.

Vegas - could they detect a heart beat at your 5 week scan? Ive had a lot of pain so can go for one now if I want, I'll be 6 weeks on weds. But im scared of seeing no heartbeat.

Oh thats good to know. Maybe I'll go in this week then x

How are you feeling? X

Yay ece!! I think it was about 8 weeks until I was under three. It's so great how it's hard to remember that now!! I used to know those numbers by heart just a year and 1/2 ago.

Laura my rainbow is wonderful!! I went to a Friday night and Saturday women's gathering that came to my town and took Lukas to the Saturday portion and he hardly made a peep-- he is such a good babe it made me proud! Any news that things might start progressing early your way?? I'm getting way too excited for you!!!

Bev: no hb at my 5+3 scan. I've got another scan Friday at 6+5 and I'm hoping to see/hear a hb at that time. What I'm really waiting for is my scan at 10 weeks to rule out another pmp. I'm also thinking about getting an early genetic test done (that is if my doctor even offers it). I want as much peace of mind as I can get! Seeing as they are offering to give you a scan I'd go for it.

A little rant from me here (sorry). I just received a $740 bill for the pathology tests on my pmp! It has been 13 months and I just now get the bill!!! Grrrrr.

Okay, that's all. I hate our healthcare system :(

Raff, yuck. I would be calling them asking why in 13 months this is yoir first bill sent out to u.

Havent gotten sick for awhile, think 2 weeks now and got sick today of course when my husbands aunt was over. And of course as we are trying to keep ot a secret from his side of family, which of course makes it hard when 9 year old son says we should buy this for the baby in mommies tummy, in front of aunt and hysband lies to keeo secret. He wants to wait until i am three months or showing to tell his family. Mine know. But i woll probably bee showing before 3 months.

Vicki

Thanks guys! I know the way down from here may be slower, but I'm keeping up with my 4-days-a-week exercise routine and hoping for the best.

Bev - I had my first ultrasound at 6+5 in my pmp, and the baby measured 6+0 but had a HB. So I'd say wait for Wednesday to spare yourself from uncertainty and unnecessary pain.

Vegas - How do they perform an early genetic testing? And how early? I know cvs and amnio, but I've heard they are performed around 11 and 14 weeks respectively.

Raff - How strange to receive a bill after more than a year?! Did the insurance company re-examine your case and deny the payment? Or what?

Ece- nope it was processed through insurance very quickly! The total bill is $1370, but insurance paid $600 (I hadn't met my deductible yet). They just sat on the rest of the bill for a year! I don't get how they are allowed to bill so late, I could have paid it with my fsa but now it is considered too late. I will be making some calls tomorrow ...

Raff: I'd be upset about the bill too. Sorry about the sad reminder.

Ece: the genetic test is just a blood test using your own blood (which has traces of the baby's blood that they separate out and test). It is intended for Down's and other common genetic issues, but I'm pretty sure it would pick up on a whole extra set of chromosomes. You can do it as early as 9 weeks and get results in about two weeks. The one I've been looking into is called Maternit21.

Hey everyone,

Last month I had a MMC and a few days later had an ERPC. Today I got a call from my doc to say it was a partial molar pregnancy. He explained what it was and said i'll need to have tests to make sure my levels are back down. I've since done some research and now worried! The doctor didn't mention anything about cancer but that's all i've seen online...

I am now awaiting a letter from Charing Cross.

If my levels are low (fingers crossed) then can we try again straight away or do we still have to be monitored for 6 months?

Thanks. I appreciate any advice on this as never knew what a PMP was before today.

Freckles, sorry for your loss and that you had to join us. This is a great group! Fingers crossed for low levels. They say 6 months wait but it can vary with some doctors recommending 3 months of negatives once you get to negative (my specialist in Australia wanted this). I think Bev, Angel or Vegas contacted an expert who had some more recent advice.

Good luck with the scan Bev. I think I saw a heartbeat at around 6 weeks. This is one thing that I can't quite remember now but like Tina with her numbers the details are fuzzy.

Laura, almost 37 weeks now! Not long. Marcy is going well, travelled so well on our long drive and loved everyone being around to entertain her during our holiday. She is very good really. Lately she has found herself in the mirror and now talks non stop to herself. It's too cute. I have a chatterbox that's for sure.

Tina, sounds like you have an excellent bub! So glad Lukas was good for you!

Raff, it really sucks about your bill. I'm waiting for mine from when I had Marcy. I have a gap for my insurance because I went in as a private patient to have her. Hope it comes soon while I'm still earning maternity leave pay. But almost 32 weeks, not long!

Ece, sounds Ilike you have things working for you. I did the same, focused on getting fitter and healthy. It definitely helped for when I got pregnant again.

Hope all the pregnant ladies are doing well and feeling well xx

Freckles I'm sorry you've had to find us but glad you have done. Be careful what you read about molars online! I found lotsa info that screamed cancer! If you did need chemo it's very treatable. Charring cross are totally amazing! If you have any questions the mole office are awesome. I think your wait depends on pmp and cmp and how long it takes you to drop. Charring cross will help you with that. Xxx

Tina he sounds perfect!! Your pictures your boys are gorgeous! I love seeing them. Baby is still back to back. No signs of anything happening. My sweep is booked 40+4 if I make it that far. Not long now!!!!

Raff its totally rubbish about your bill. Nothing like a reminder. How are you feeling? 32 weeks nearly.... Amazing!!

Becky I can't believe I'm nearly full term! It's crazy! Love being pregnant but so very excited and ready to meet this much awaited rainbow. Marcy sounds lovely! I love it when they start chatting! It's so super cute!

Ece it sounds like your doing great! Fitness is always a good thing. Hopefully another lovely drop at the weekend!

Vegas I hope your next scan goes well and the test your talking about gives you extra peace of mind. I think anything you can do to relax yourself is great. Forme my 20 week scan where they check heart, brain etc was my marker for feeling safe and being able to share our news.

Bev fingers crossed for your scan. I'd leave it till your 6 weeks so your more likely to see a heartbeat.

Vicki I hope your ok.

Clo any news from you?

Dano hope you and your boys are well.

Lotte still think of you often hope your bubba is growing well.

As for me I'm cleaning my floors like a crazy lady! This baby is still back2back!!! Hopefully it decides to turn soon as I'm not looking forward to labour! Argh!!!!!!!!!!!

Xxxx
