Molar and Partial Molar Pregnancy Support Group

Vicki: your doctor sounds a bit like a jerk. Why worry you like that? Most pmp's don't make it as far as we are (at least that's what the specialist told me at my appointment at 9+4). When do you get a scan? Sorry you are still getting sick. Even though my nausea is gone I managed to puke on Wednesday (only time thus far other than the food poisoning incident). Silly hormones!

No he was just trying to warn me. I love the dr. My morming sickmess has been gone but tends to show once in awhile. Been feeling awful all day. Hopefully i feel better tomorrow as we are going to the zoo.

Vicki

Hi ladies,

I have been quite depressed for the past couple of days and did not feel like connecting :(.

M2C - She's such a lovely lovely baby. You ladies are my silver linings!

Raff - Now we started waiting for your countdown! Hope she arrives early as you hope

Vicki - Yay for the lovely HB :happydance:. It's good that you like & trust your OB, but he shouldn't worry you like that. We all know the risks and don't need to be reminded every now and then.

AFM - I guess I stressed out myself so much over OPKs, temps and such, I couldn't have a sound sleep for almost a week! But today I had my OB appt and he confirmed I O'd. Such a relief!

He gave us the green light to TTC since my HCG dropped to neg 2 weeks ago. But we'll wait for a couple of cycles and start by mid-August when my third AF after MC will have supposedly passed.

He prescribed 1200 mcg folic acid though (800 in a multi-vit + 400 seperately) and said any extra not needed by the body will be extracted. I searched online and it seems so but I am confused. He also gave coraspin (kind of aspirin) and all in all I am again worried that he thinks sth is really wrong with me!

This TTC business is just sooo damn hard

Laura great job with your quick Labor!! I agree, in some way we were meant to have these rainbow babies and finally getting the ones makes it more manageable to forgive what we went thru to get there!

Waking up, going somewhere, coming home, and throwing up is not a good way to start the day, so i am going back to bed, and hoping for a better restart in a couple hours.

Had a great weekend, went to zoo with my 3 youngest and my mom and dister. Was a little rainey and chillie but we had fun.

How is everybody else doing?

Vicki

Ece, congratulations for the all clear to start ttc. So glad things are going back to normal cycle. Sorry you have been feeling down. Its been a full on year so don't get hard on yourself. Its wonderful to be negative still. Its good that the doctor is getting you to take folic acid. It does take a little bit of time to build up in the body so the extra would be to make sure you have sufficient if you were to get pregnant for a healthy bub (is he assuming you will start ttc straight away?). Not sure about the aspirin sorry but I've heard of lots of people who have been told to take it and all for different reasons.

Vicki, sorry you had a poor start to the day. I hope it improves.

Been a bit down myself since Friday. I went to weigh Marcy for her 5 month mark and she hadn't put on much weight - 100g in 4 weeks (what she should in a week not month) and dropped right off her percentile range (25 to <10). She is exclusively bf so hard not to worry that its my fault. Lately she has been feeding more frequently during the day, like every 2 hrs and I have been worried that my milk is dropping off. But she is still her happy sleep and sleeping well during the night. So I've had to start solids a bit earlier than planned and will have to weigh Marcy again in a week to monitor more closely. She seems to think food is wonderful so its probably a good thing :) Bit hard not to feel like a failure when I've been her only source of food.

Jacky: don't beat yourself up over it, some babies are just on the smaller side. I started solids with my DD at five months (dr said it was ok at four months, but I had read six so thought it was a good compromise). I'm sure Marcy is super healthy so please don't fret; you're doing a great job.

Vicki: sorry the ms still had a hold on you.

Ece: congrats for getting the green light on ttc!

Nothing going on here. Feeling pretty tired, probably because I'm up all night peeing.

Jacky- I had the exact same thing with my DD at her 6 month, versus 4 month. Except she had zero weight gain, and went from 90th (I know GIANT) to 50th percentile in weight. For me it was my milk supply that disappeared. I had returned to work and also had been ill for months and lost weight really fast. My daughter was not sleeping well though and never seemed satisfied nursing, so we did introduce formula just at night and she started growing again...but she never left 50th percentile, and that is where she still is nearly 3 years later!

AFM- well, still feels like delivery is far far away. Trying to be patient, but also starting to take evening primrose oil and drink raspberry leaf tea. I don't know why, I just have an irrational fear of going past my due date. I just have to remind myself that it's not a big deal. I was awake from 1:30 am till 5:00am last night so I'm glad to not be in labor today! I'd be WAY too tired!!!

Raff, hopefully you don't go over! Have you dropped at all? Did you go over with your DD?

Vegas, hope you get more sleep tonight xx

Thanks ladies. Its a relief to hear your stories. I do have a petite one especially up against her friends. I think that's why it worried me (they had still put on 700g). I now know why she is still wearing 000 clothes meant for 0-3 months. I never thought we would wear any baby clothes out! She's full of surprises.

I think I've dropped, but I have also carried low almost the whole pregnancy anyway, so it's hard to tell. But every appointment the doctor comments on how low she is. My daughter was born on her due date, which I suppose is "early" for a first baby. My doctor said she would do a sweep at 39 weeks if I want and if my cervix is soft/dilating...so hopefully between my methods and the doc I won't have to wait too long!

Thursday i will be 12 weeks. I know others are around or just past that point....... One milestone done for us...

Vicki

Congratulations Bev, Vegas and Vicki - good luck for your next scan xx

A week until my next scan, I feel different this time but still worried its going to happen all over again

Congrats to you ladies making it to 12 weeks! I know it is so hard to relax and start trusting thing will work out, but this is a huge milestone! It is so unlikely anything will go wrong at this point :happydance:

AFM- Just had a doctors appointment and I'm 2-3cm and 70% effaced!!!! I've barely had any contractions, but so relieved that things are still progressing. My Dr. says she's coming "soon"...still hard to know what that means. I've had friends sit in this spot for weeks, but still counting it as very good news! Now off to go sit on my birth ball :winkwink:

Oh raff, almost there. I will be stalking this place waiting for the news...

Vicki

Yay how exciting raff!! I was less dilated than you and gave birth 48 hours after my cervix check!! I was 38+2! (Cant believe that was 8 weeks ago already!)
Good luck!!

Raff: sounds like you are getting close. I too will be stalking.
