Molar and Partial Molar Pregnancy Support Group

Hi, ladies! I'm new here and am so thankful to have found this thread. I had a complete molar pregnancy a year and a half ago and am now pregnant for the first time since. I'm around 6 weeks, and my first appointment is next week.

I'm so nervous! I don't know what I'll do if it's another mole. My symptoms are quite similar to the complete mole, and I don't know if that's a bad sign. My chest isn't very sore, and the beginning of morning sickness has reared its ugly head. Has anyone had similar symptoms/timing as a previous mole but still gone on to have a healthy baby? Any insight would be so much appreciated. I don't know of anyone who has been through something similar, so I don't have anyone to ask. Thank you all!

I did have all day sickness with my PMP and my rain ow baby. I caved and needed anti nausea meds with the molar but was able to get by without them Barely the. Ext time around. Lots of early scans help to reassure me everything was normal this last time. Congrats and welcome : )

Thank you :) I want so badly to just be happy and hopeful, but I'm so scared! I wish I could turn off my brain for an hour. It would be so refreshing.

Had ob apt today. The dr never changed my due date and is sticking with my lmp which means i am stilk due the 17 instead of the 19. I lost 4 lbs this month but still up 2 lbs. We did the quad screen test today also. Baby heart beat was 154. All looking good.

Vicki I hope the sickness lets up soon. I did a lot better by about 16 weeks but had a few random few episodes until 22ish weeks but that was my turning point 16 weeks.

My turning point was about 12. Now its starting up at random times. Middle of night... Was up all night threw up about 4 ish a.m. . Then here about 5:30p.m. Been feeling sick all day. This sucks....

My sickness eased about 20 odd weeks but then I would still be sick frequently and at the end I started being sick more again if I ate too much etc! Hopefully it will ease again for you. All worth it though xxx

Been popping in ladies and trying to keep up but just not had time to reply! Just want you all to know in always thinking of you all. Also had mastitis which has knocked me for six! Luckily the antibiotics are kicking in and I'm feeling better. Indie was weighed Friday.... She's 12lb 7oz. Corban loves his little indigo so all is well.

Hope everyone is doing ok? Preggo ladies hope your all doing well? How are all the rainbows and there mummy's?

Xxxx

Oh lovey, so sorry to hear you had mastitis. I hope the pain has also gone and you're back to full health soon. I would rather do labour than mastitis. I'm so sick of getting it I'm trying a specialist physio as I'm not quite ready to stop feeding. Wonderful to hear Indigo is thriving!

Vicki, I hope you start feeling better. I think it was week 20 for me. Hopefully its sooner rather than later. Congratulations on passing your test!

We are good. Marcy is almost 6 months! I can't believe its gone so quick. She has spent the last few nights in her own room. Its much harder for me. She loves it in her cot. We finally have a tooth too after months of teething. Nice to have something to show for the pain. She's growing up too fast.

Hope everyone is well xx

Hi Ladies! Sorry I've been off for a while too. Life is busy with a newborn!!! My husband returned to work today, so this was my first day just me and my girls. It went really well, and the house is still clean! A friend did bring us dinner so that is probably why. It has been painfully hot here, and no one has AC. Our house is running around 83 degrees. So glad I'm not pregnant in this heat, breastfeeding makes me hot enough!

I can't remember if I posted after Emsley's 2 week appointment last Thursday, but she was 7 lbs 5 oz then, and today I weighed her at home and I got 7 lbs 10 oz. My peanut is growing so fast!!!

Hey everyone, sorry i've been absent, i've been so busy with work but just have a quick question.

I had a PMP and have so far had three months of negative results from Charing Cross. My follow up date is til 5th September but my tests are mid month so probably around 17th Aug and then 2.5 weeks later on the 5th September. I'll be ovulating in those two weeks though and don't know whether to try then or just wait.

Am really wanting to try again but don't know how strict these follow up rules are etc? Is it common to get all negative and then the last one could be positive?! Has anyone here waited less than the 6 months? I guess it's only a couple of weeks less...

Hi freckles, I spoke to the co-ordinator at charing cross and was given the go ahead to start trying after 3 months instead of 6 months. They continue the tests until you complete the follow up or you get pregnant which ever comes first. Speak to them and see what they say.

Freckles: I got pregnant four months after my pmp (after my second monthly negative test). My doctor wasn't too happy about this, but I emailed Dr. G and he felt it should be fine as hCG rarely comes back after it's resolved quickly on its own (which mine did). I'm 16 weeks pregnant now and all the tests have come back normal. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Hi freckles, I was similar - had my d&c Jan and got pregnant at the end of April after 3 monthly negatives (the last one occurred when I ovulated and only a few days before I got pregnant). I just got monitored closer in the beginning but my doc wasn't too worried of a repeat. I have a beautiful healthy 6 month old. Talk to them, you might find that they give you the ok?

Raff, great to hear its going well and Emsley is growing xx

Oh I forgot to mention - we had our 6 months check yesterday (injections tomorrow as their stock got hot when the fridge broke down and were compromised) and Marcy is staying little but did put on some weight yay! 200g on so solids are helping - she is now 5.9kg (13 lb). She hasnt grown any taller but then I'm short so she has to start being short somewhere :)

Hi girls, thanks for your replies. I called Charing Cross re waiting three months, or less than 6 months, and they say they've never advised a patient they can start trying after less than 6 months as it's 6 months at least. I'll think i'll try after my 5 month results (fingers crossed they're negatives) but I still haven't decided LOL.

Got sick last night. And it was 2ce as worse only because i have a sore throat. I did not sleep at all last night and had to leave around 5 15 to take my husband to work. I have a wic apt at 9 30 so i will be lucky to get an hour sleep. And i want to try to get atleast myself into the dr for my throat and some issues i am havung with my knee, but they close at nion today. So we will see. If not i guess i have to wait till friday cause of a holiday timorrow.

Vicki
