Just added everything I've bought into my Christmas spreadsheet (total Christmas geek!) and worked out I've already gone over our £120 per child budget for DS1! Need some serious savings for the rest as I don't feel like I've got him a great deal!

Joint presents for the boys are a Bigjigs wooden roadway that interacts with their wooden railway they already have. Spent £117.50 all in on the roadway so £58.75 each of their £120 budget. Leaves me with £61.25 for each child for other gifts.

DS1 (just turned 4):
Lego toy and grocery shop - £27
Two friction cars - £5
Wooden Virgin pendolino train - £14
Jcb play book - £4
Scarecrow's wedding book - £5
Wooden crane truck - £7

= £60 spent

DS2 (18 months):
Two bizzy bear books - £10
What the ladybird heard next book - £5
Cars sound book - £3

= £18 spent.

Still want to get them Christmas pjs each. For DS1 I was planning on getting him Play Doh launch game, jigsaw, Lego base plate, imaginext bat mobile and Julia Donaldson troll book. For DS2: Melissa and Doug doorbell house, M&D latchboard, new paints, wooden food, some kind of moving cat/dog, maybe a scuttlebug.

Going to have to look for some serious bargains!!

ooh following for ideas. My kids are the same age.
