nasty baby group :(

Another thumbs up for sleepsuits / babygrows from me! I was in such a hurry to dress DS1 in 'cute little outfits' and now I feel that he missed out on some comfort! DS2 is 4 months today and, other than on Christmas Day, he has worn nothing but sleepsuits & vests. They're so much comfier for him, and warmer at this time of year - no draughts up trouser legs and the like! I'm in no rush for him to wear anything else - like someone else said, when else in your life do you get to wear your comfy PJs all day? They've got years ahead to wear funky little outfits, what's the rush? :hugs:

How horrible! :nope:

I've had both positive and negative experiences of baby group.

First one I went to I got patronised by a lady as I was feeding my LO a bottle after BFing didn't work out about how I should have 'tried harder' as it was 'best for your baby'. I was so angry but didn't have the guts to have a go back. I've toughend up since!

Second one is still ongoing. I go to this one baby group where literally none of the mums speak to me. I go with my neighbour and they are the same with her, hence why I don't go often! Its just nice for my LO to socialise with other babies.

On the flipside, I signed up for baby massage at the Sure Start centre and I couldn't ask for a nicer group of ladies! The course has now finished but we meet up every week at each others homes. I'd definately recommend an activity group like that as it does stop the little groups forming.

:hugs:

sounds so awkward and horrible, it never hurts to say hello to a newbie, how bitchy. i'm sure there are some nicer groups around though - i tend to find the smaller the better

Ha when I turn up at my baby group the first thing I do is say hello to the whole baby group : )
I move around lots and try and talk to all of the moms there. I think a lot of clickyness is brought on by shyness, moms dont get out the house too often get scared of new people then cling to the couple of people they know. Go in with a smile on your face and let people know you are there!

I also dress my girl in sleepsuits every day she does wear dungarees for baby group, but thats more becuse my mom is obsessed with buying little outfits and I feel guilty she has never worn most of them :)
