Just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation, I've been having pelvic pain for over a year and half now, it's like period pain all the time, but also sometimes a dull ache??

Dr gave me tablets for IBS and for stomach spasms but neither worked, I had an ultrasound today and everything was fine. I've been reading a lot about endometriosis and ticking a lot of boxes!!! I really think it's whatcha a in is.

I've already expressed my concerns to dr and he said he wanted to rule out other things first,
I'm really hoping at my follow up appt he'll refer me to a specialist.

Anyone with endo, how long did it take for a diagnosis?
Sorry for the essay!!

Can't be sure but as soon as I saw your title, I instantly thought endo. Not sure about diagnosis, sorry.

I also thought endo as soon as I seen the title. Especially as nothing showed up on Ultrasound.

I totally feel your pain, as I've been in a serious amount of pain which started in April and is gradually getting worse each month! Ive had a bit of ease this last month after my pill has been changed from progesterone only to the combined pill so my doctor thinks that that in itself has pretty much diagnosed whats wrong but im having a laparoscopy on Wednesday to see whats going on!

I really hope you get some answers soon, hope you dont mind me asking but what bc are you on? xx

Hiya, I'm on combined pill Levest. I think they might want to change my pill before doing anything else. Good luck for Wednesday!

This is me, exactly. Constant pelvic pain for over 2 years and had exploratory lap last month and they confirmed endo. Sadly, I'm still in pain. Dr told me to move up my TTC date.

I have another drs appt on Tuesday, just hope they don't give me more tablets!!!

SoBroody, it took about 6 years for me to get a confirmed diagnosis of endometriosis. I had painful periods since I started at 15, and progressively worse pelvic pain over the years. I am 23 now. My OB/GYN put me on various types of birth control methods, but it did not seem to help. They suspected it was endometriosis, but they often take the "wait it out" stance until your are TTC. The only way to 'diagnose' it is through surgery, and often they want you to weight all of your options first. I was adamant for a long time that I had endometriosis, and I was worried if I didn't get it taken care of that it would only get worse. I had a laparoscopy last December, where they went in to see if I had endometrial scar tissue (which I did), and then they removed it along with a polyp on my cervix (sorry tmi). If you have any questions, I would be happy to tell you more about symptoms, thoughts, or the process of what it has been like to have endometriosis. Good luck to you! It's scary and unsettling to have pelvic pain, so I hope you find some answers!
