Need some help please

I recently had to leave my job after maternity leave as couldn't find anyone to look after my lb so I tried to sign on just to pay my stamp they said i couldn't as I had a baby my stamp is paid for me I left there in tears I just wanted to be treated the same and get milk tokens and the sure start grant, I don't get any benefits or help, my other half works and gets about 1200 a month so been told were not entitled to help, after the bills are paid all we have enough money for is fuel so oh can get to work were really struggling to buy milk for our son I don't know what to do I'm scared, I read you can ring your hv or gp and they can get you free milk tokens has anyone done this does it work also who would be entitled to there help

Weve sent the form off they told us we would only get £50 or less a month
