New cycle! Who's with me??

Mrs- every brand is different for testing time. Lots of people say second morning urine without drinking much. But the ones I use specifically say FMU. Also some people have a really short Lh surge and will only catch it if they test twice.

@stephanie good idea. as mrs green said you could have a short LH surge and we dont want to miss it!
@mrspres i was told 2-6pm was the best time i usually test when i come home from work so around 6pm.

MrsPres I always heard SMU. I took my first opk today with SMU and it was definitely negative. But I expected that because I'm only on CD10. This first time around using them, I plan on doing one in the morning (after fmu) and one in the evening just to kind of see where my body is and what it's doing. Along with checking cervical position. I tried that last cycle but it wasn't consistent and I was very confused most days! So maybe doing both, I can understand it a little more. But if it doesn't happen for us this cycle, I'm going to test just once a day next cycle. But hopefully that won't be an issue!! Fxed!

Hi all u lovely ladies

I am gona start trying again, but I'm on clomid but at the the moment I'm drinking provera to bring on my AF. But when I went to see the Dr for my new cycle of clomid he did a sonar and saw an emty gestational sac. I have pcos so I'm very irregular. My last af was 2 november to 5 November. He didn't say much but he made a print out of the sonar any advice and opinions on that? Hope u all get bap this cycle

TTC_Monsie welcome!! I personally don't know anything about clomid or provera. I've also never been to a Dr for anything TTC-related, this is only my 2nd cycle ttc. But I hope you get some answers soon! Maybe one of these ladies here could help you out!

Opk users... When you get a positive opk, when do you decide when O day is?? After the first + opk or the last + opk?

@monsie when did you see your doctor? In early pregnancy a gestational sac can look empty and around 6 weeks you see something. from what i remember but im not 100% on that one. You doctor didnt go over this with you? You may need to find a new doctor! He should have explained what the gestational sac was, what it means, and what your next steps should be. Anyone of us can give you advice but none of us are your doctor. So at best you will get some anecdotal or googled advice.
@stephanie they say when your o-day is 12-72 hours from your first positive opk. But im conflicted on that because i have ovulated a week after my first opk one cycle. ( my body had failed to release an egg initially and tried again )

From what I've gathered on Google, (on opk tests strips) the test line should lighten after ovulation because your lh levels are going back down (duh! haha!) so I should count dpo after my last clearly + opk. That's just what I was getting out of all the info I read. I've also seen several other ladies with no test line whatsoever around CD10 but I had a line. Not a dark one by any means, it was clear to me that it was negative. But it was definitely noticeable. I'm just wondering if I'm closer to O than I think.

I'm new to this so i'm not sure of terminology yet :haha:
My period started on the 13th so i'm with you i think :haha:

Kiki1993 welcome!! If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask :) that's why we're all here, to get answers, advice, support, etc. Is this your first cycle trying to conceive (ttc)? I am currently on cycle day (CD) 10 of my second cycle

Welcome Kiki!! Currently cd 14 (conveniently lines up with the day of the month this month lol) and feel like this cycle is taking forever! Hope everyone is doing well!

MrsPres I know what you mean! I feel like it's taking ages just to get to O... Not to mention the tww afterwards... Where are you as far as ovulation goes?? You said you're on CD14

welcome kiki!

I just read something very interesting. a woman who had been ttc for 11 cycles and had her period. ( tmi warning) with clots and tissue and the whole nine yards. Her period stopped a day earlier than usual but she thought nothing of it and went on. on CD10 she started on her opk to prepare for her usual routine and it was positive. thinking it was strange she took a hpt. and it was a BFP! Isnt that insane?! I'm sure its rare but i found it interesting.
I was googling because my period was misbehaving this cycle (just stopped after a day, spotted, then came back on for half a day then spotted) and happened on it.

Supergongjoo that is very odd! So she had a seemingly normal period but was in fact pregnant?? My first cycle after BCP was relatively light and a day shorter than what I expected. I've been off and on bcp for several years and every time I've went off of them, my period comes back completely normal, 29 day cycle, lasts 6-7 days and is heavy cd1-3. This cycle was totally different! But maybe my "norm" changed over the years lol

@ Stephanie my cycles are usually 34 days so I have a few more days before O but started using my opks today! This is the first month I have used them, I have a general idea of when I O but it will be nice to be able to see it

Thanx so much ladies for advice must maybe look at a new Dr then..don't u ladies have whatsapp we can start a whatsapp group...even if we are not in the same country

TTC_monsie I'm not even sure what that is... I've never heard of it

a whatsapp group chat . thats actually a fun idea for symptom spotters.

Yea she thought it was just a lighter than normal period. because it was more than spotting. and boom it was desdual bleeding

Hi ladies for those of u who want to be on the whatsapp group would u like to send me ur numbers via email? So we don't have to leave our numbers here?
