Hi! I'm 14 weeks along now with my third and still haven't "announced" it at work. I'm trying to hide it - I just don't feel quite ready yet for them to know but it's getting hard!

I've defintely got a bump and for the past week my back feels a little jammed up on one side, giving me that pregnancy walk that I'm working hard to camouflage.

Is anyone in the 2nd trimester also still hiding the pregnancy from some people? For those who "came out" at work, how long did you keep it to yourself?

We didn't tell anyone till about 22 weeks. I was still able to hide it long after that but we felt it was safe at that time.

So glad to see this post. I'm 18 weeks and I still haven't told family. Plan to this week. We have told some friends but I dunno, I just don't like having the conversation. Not because our families are not supportive but I kinda don't like having focus on me too much. Maybe I'm a little bit too private with things but we are definitely getting to the "We need to tell now" stage.

I haven't told many people yet either. I also have two other little ones who are yet to find out, its definitely hard! I was waiting until my first scan so I could have a picture and reassurance to show them :) I am 13 weeks today and my scan is tomorrow!

I didn't feel like telling my friends and family very much, but I did around 9w. It was liberating because I was so sick and had been avoiding everyone for about 3 weeks at this point. Finally I was able to explain myself instead of feeling so dishonest, making up excuses and stuff.

My collegues though... I have no desire to tell them. I've been at work doing my job so it doesn't change anything. It will be nice to just wear whatever I feel like, not wondering if I look too pregnant but that's mostly the up-side. I think I will reevaluate in a week or two.

nulla: It doesn't need to be too much focus on you, it might just be normal, with a couple questions here and there about how you're feeling, they might not pry much at all! I hope for you :)

I told work at 17 weeks after getting my NT/bloodwork back. Only because I know my boss will need time to find someone to replace me while I'm gone.

Then I started telling friends because I'm starting to show and I was getting sick of loose clothing. And sucking it in :p

I finally told work after one coworker asked if I was pregnant and then another asked me when I was due. Apparently it is very obvious. :haha: When I told my boss she was like "well duh."

So I told at 17 weeks.

I told family at 6 or 7 weeks, and would tell people in person if I saw them after the first trimester. I didn't do an official announcement until 20 weeks though. I'm a SAHM so it wasn't too hard to hide from people, I just didn't feel ready to talk about it until 20 weeks in the public setting.

We told family as soon as we found out at about 4/5 weeks then announced the pregnancy on social media to all our friends/extended family when we were 14 weeks along. I am now 18 weeks and haven't told my bosses - but I'm in a unique working situation, I do an office job from home so I haven't physically seen my bosses for months anyway. I plan on telling them probably within the next month or so because I'm likely to see them soon and I believe its technically the law to tell them before 25 weeks. In saying that, I am not a full time employee so don't feel obliged to really share it with them in the first place
