I'm so glad you're okay! Normally I wouldn't worry, I just knew you'd been having a hard time and that you were waiting for tests and I was worried your disappearance meant you'd got bad results. I'm so glad you were just busy and that you and LO are doing fine! I'm quite protective of my little niece, you know!
And for negative results - that must be a massive weight of your mind (it's a massive weight of my mind!). It makes sense that a yeast infection could irritate your cervix so I'm glad that the cream is making the contractions (and, in turn, the back pain) get a bit better.
I wouldn't worry about baby not kicking as much as normal. I've read that you don't get a 'normal' pattern of movements until sometime after weeks 28-30. I'm not sure why that is? Perhaps baby is just bigger and it's easier to feel all of the movements. Plus, you did say you had an anterior placenta didn't you. And I've read that anterior placentas have a tendency to move around during pregnancy (i.e. by the time delivery comes, it may have actually moved into the position of a posterior placenta). So it's also possible that it's moved and is just cushioning some of the movements. A nice strong heartbeat is an excellent sign so I wouldn't worry. She's probably just shattered after beating you up the last few weeks! If you're worried though, I would call you midwife just to check with her. Like I said before, we're best to put everything in the hands of the experts. That's my pregnancy motto!
I went to the doctor this week to check on the spots on my tummy. She's not sure what they are but reckons it might be a form of eczema (which I've never had before) so she's given me a cream to try and take the rash away. I've not put any on yet as I'd prefer it to go away on its own, but if it's still there in a few days' time then I'll try it out. She said it's perfectly safe during pregnancy. I'm just glad it was nothing to worry about. I've read that sometimes rashes in pregnancy can symbolise nasty things (I know, I know, I preach about visiting the Google surgery but, despite this, I do sometimes pay them a visit! )
It's getting closer and closer to your DH coming home, you must be getting excited now. Have you been sending him pics of your bump or will he have no idea what you look like now? It'll be so funny to see his face when he realises how big your bump has grown since he's been away. I bet it'll make the whole pregnancy much more real for him. I think it's sometimes so hard to make sure men feel a part of the whole pregnancy thing.
How was Titanic 3D? I love the film too and want to go and see the 3D version - does it make it any better? I'm working all next week and the entire weekend so it'll be another 12 days till I have some time off. I'll maybe look into it for the week after that. If I'm not too tired - no wonder all I do is sleep these days!
How are your pups doing? Have they been treating you any differently since you've got a bump? They say dogs can sense that your pregnant. I tried to see if my mum's dog would treat me differently but he's just his usual crazy self around me!
Those predator shows sound truly awful. And you're right, it'll make us much more protective of our LOs. I was watching a programme that was following young people on an 18-30 holiday and they were getting up to so much mischief that I've decided my LO is banned from ever going on one. I reckon I'm going to be a super-strict mum!!!
How have your headaches been? Mine have been much better recently, but I'm following in your footsteps with the congestion. I can now completely sympathise with what you went through! It's not very pleasant and it makes it so difficult to sleep!
Anyway, hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks for letting me know all is okay with you. I told DH I was a bit worried because you had disappeared after telling me about all of your braxton hicks contractions and he started asking after you. I think that's so sweet.
Sending you and your little bundle of joy gigantic weekend and a special little for your LO.
Hope everyone else on this thread is doing wonderfully and hope to hear from you all soon
