Hi has anyone experienced their LO not taking the reccommended amount of formula? Katie is nearly 5 months old. I BF till she was 3 months since then she's been on SMA gold. The recommeneded amount is 7oz and 5 feeds. I find she will take about 3oz then push it away. She will have 5oz during the night at about 4 but then she can go for hours and not be hungry - till about 11 in the morning. she was on the 75th percentile and is now on the 50th. HV not much help when i told her. Katie is very content and smily and is active but i'm worried she's not getting enough nutrients etc. Would anyone advise early weaning? or any other ideas?

hi angie my son is 9 months and he dosent want his feeds too i give him s26 gold and he had 1 bottle yesterday morning at 4am then he wouldent have any more untill 6pm tht night.im worried about him too.but he still eats his 3 solids aday though but im worried tht hes not getting anough fluids.as he dont drink hardley any water.

Hannah has never taken the recommended amount! Unless she had hit a growth spurt (before she was weaned) she averaged around 24 ounces a day even though she's a bigger baby!! I'd say as long as LO is doing well, happy and healthy and growing to try not to worry about it. Oh and we never got to 7 ounces a feed, the most was six ounces

Aidan doesn't take the recommended amount either. He does the same pushing the bottle away after a few ounces.
I got really stressed over it last week but he's still putting weight on and following his centile line, so I'm just trying not to stress and go with the flow! x
