Hi girls!

Following on from my thread here https://www.babyandbump.com/pregnan...vember-9-1-anyone-want-buddy.html#post5117939 :)

I think we'd be better off over here than in first tri because we won't be in first tri for much longer and hopefully we can get to know each other really well here and help each other throughout the next 7 or so months! And beyond when our little babies are here :cloud9:

We are....

Liz/Lizzy (pinklizzy) EDD 16th November - Scan pic pg.6
Clair (turning30) EDD 21st November
(espia) EDD 22nd November
Sam (saml1) EDD 23rd November - Scan pic pg.4 & pg.7
Bambi1985 - EDD 25th November
Melissa (msmissa) EDD 30th November - Scan pic pg.7

I'll bore you with a bit about me!! My name's Sam and I'm 24. I live with my OH, we got engaged in New York last month and we've been together for 7 years. We have a beautiful 9 1/2 month old baby girl called Emma, she's our whole world...and we're SOOOO excited to have a baby brother or sister for her. We're planning to get married in Florida in May 2012 so Emma will be almost 3 and the 'littlest' baby will be 18 months...we're going with both sets of grandparents so will have lots of help, don't think we'd chance it with 2 under 3s on our own, lol.

I had an early scan today and all was well, and my proper dating/NT scan is on May 13th.

What about you?

Hi Sam!

I'm Annabel and 34, have been trying for a baby for nearly 3 years and finally pregnant :Happy Dance:

I've been married since July 2007 to my other half and we live in Romsey (just outside of Southampton). My EDD is 25th November, but I've not been to any scans/appts yet. I have my first doctors appointment on 27th April, so I'm getting excited!

I'm suffering at the moment with tiredness and a little bit of sickness, how are you getting on Sam?

Wonder how many others will join us!!!

Aww, three years of trying - you are so 'brave'....that's not the right word at all to use but I hope you know what I mean!! 3 years is a long time and it must have been really hard if you had friends or family who got pregnant whilst you were trying. I know a lady I used to work with struggled to fall pregnant and it seemed everyone in the office was getting pregnant but her...she's got a little girl now though so it's all good :D

At the moment I'm not too bad....I have been extremely tired and I've been going to bed between 8 and 9pm, but I'm up at 6am with Emma and she's almost 10 months now, crawling and into everything, so I need my sleep! She's having a nap now, bless her. The tiredness seems to be easing a little, touchwood. I've been feeling very sick too - not the sickness that stops you from eating, in fact most of the time eating something makes me feel better, it's just a dull sickness that always seems to be there!

I'm not sure if it's the same where you are, but I'm in Cheshire & when I had my booking in appt at 8 weeks there was a poster on the wall saying 'Pregnant, who should you call? A midwife!'. Basically it seems here, all a Dr. will do is prescribe you folic acid if you don't have any, and then give you the number for a MW. First time round I did that, but it seemed like a waste of their time, and mine, so this time I called the surgery and asked for the MWs number and booked my booking in appt direct! It could be worth asking whether you can do that - just because I have a feeling your first Drs. appointment will basically be a 'congratulations' and 'call this number' - which can be a bit disappointing when you're wanting to get the ball rolling!!!!

Hiya,

My name is Clair, from Nottingham, I'm turning 30 in June and my EDD is 21st November. Would it be ok if I join in too? (I may not be online an awful lot though as I too work for the NHS and strangely they don't like you to use your internet access all the time! but I will do my best to keep involved).

I have my booking appointment with the midwife on Monday (26.04). I know what you mean though Sam about the dr's appointment being a little disappointing, I think I was there for about 5 minutes and sent away with a midwife appointment for 5 weeks later!!! It's been a long 5 weeks!

This bean will be my first, although my partner (of 4 years) has a daughter with his ex wife. She is 12 and is a fantastic kid. Had a rough 2 years in the middle of us being together where her mum was a bit poisonous towards me but all is good now :o)...partner now just worrying how he is going to tell her in the next 4ish weeks!

Hope to speak to you ladies soon.

Hi, My name is Melissa, Originally from Oregon but living in New York. I am 20 years old, living with my OH. We've been married for almost 10 months. My EDD is Nov. 30th.

Haven't had any scans/appt. yet, just went to my doctors yesterday to confirm and get a referral. This is our first little one so we're both excited and nervous.

Hope to get to know you ladies well in the upcoming Months :)

hi ladies :)

i'm from newfoundland, canada and i'm 26 years old. i've been married 8 months and my EDD is november 22nd. this is our first little one and we're really, really excited!

i had a u/s at 8 weeks that confirmed my pregnancy and we saw the heartbeat. yay!

hope to keep in touch with you all.

Yay more peeps to compare notes with :happydance:

I had to come home from work today, my stomach just really aches and I couldn't concentrate on anything! Luckily my boss is really understanding, but I wouldn't want to be working at my old job....they wouldn't have liked that!

I can't stop yawning, but just off over to my brothers as it's his birthday. He's cooking dinner, and I've just texted him saying I'm not feeling too good but he said he wouldn't mind if I came over in my pj's and slippers ate and came straight home so I'm making an effort and hopefully i'll be alright!

We're off to New York in June with some friends, going to see NKOTB (reliving our youth) at Radio City Hall! We booked it before I found out (obviously) but I still really want to go so we're going to go for it!

:winkwink:

Hi everyone! If you look at the first post I've put our names, real names and EDD so it should be easier to keep track of :)

Clair: Hi there! Don't worry about how often you can get online....I'm not on as much as I used to be before Emma came a long but I manage to get on when she's having a nap or in the evenings :) I just find the other November group way too fast for me...I'll log on and there's been 10 pages of posts since I last looked, LOL. Congratulations on the baby!! I bet your partners daughter will be thrilled at the news, but I can understand it must be worrying trying to work out the best way to tell her.

Melissa: Hi again! It's sooo exciting with your first....everything is new & it's just a lovely time if you can get past all the worrying. I don't think I stopped worrying til Emma was born and then I didn't stop really - it just changed, ha ha. Don't get me wrong, it's exciting for me too with it being my second baby but it feels different - in a good way though, just I know a bit more about what's to come & it feels a bit more real. I really can't wait!!

Espia: Great news about your scan! Do you have another scan now to date the pregnancy or is your 8 week scan it? In the UK we have a dating scan at 10-14 weeks (usually 12) and then an anomly scan at 20-22 weeks.

Anna: Hope you have a great time at your brothers! I feel like I've got a bit more energy over the past few days so I hope that happens with you too - although just you watch, it'll go soon! Emma normally goes to bed at 7.30pm but she's had an early night tonight cos she was really tired which means she'll no doubt be up at 5am or some other ungodly hour - and then I'll be back to the 'I'm exhausted' stage, LOL!!

Yes, it's definitely exciting, but I don't seem as excited as my OH lol. He doesn't seem to be worried at all. The most he worried about was the call to his mother. Well, and the fact I'm having a hard time eating ;)

Congrats on your second baby! That's so exciting! Even though you have one, I'm sure you're just as excited to have another beautiful baby around

I think that's a man thing! My OH is exactly the same. As far as he's concerned, pregnancy = baby at the end, no matter what!! I wish I had the same attitude, I know I worry too much!!

Hahaha...I totally agree. I think maybe I should just be happy he's this excited. He didn't even let his mother's reaction squash it a single bit, which definitely was a relief

What did his Mother say (if you don't mind me asking?). It's good that he's so excited though, that's really sweet. Bet he'll love seeing LO at your scan, it's magical!!

She was really angry and her comment at the end was "well, what's done is done" idk...with the way she tallks it was a mean comment on her part like she can't fix it now. Yeah, I'm happy he'll be attending all of them until he deploys :) Does your OH go with you?

Awww, that's mean! I really hope she comes around though. I'd be very suprised with all the excitement if she doesn't....and if she doesn't (which I doubt) - it really is her loss!!

Do you know when your OH is likely to be deployed and how long for?

He didn't come yesterday becauise it was an early scan cos I'd been having some one-sided pain, and we're hoping we can come to the 12 week scan, but it depends whether he will be allowed to take a 1/2 days holiday as he's only just started his new job. He'll definitely come to the 20 week scan though as thats when we'll hopefully find out the gender!!

In England we have scans at 10-14 weeks to date the pregnancy and then 20-22 weeks to check for abnormalaties.....what's the process in NY??? XXXX

Yeah, I want her to come around in case something happens to my OH while he's deployed. He deploys in October for hopefully only a year.

Wow...well, at least he'll be there for some.

I'm not sure what the process is yet, as this is my first and I haven't seen my OB-Gyn yet, but as soon as I do I'll let you know :)

Is your baby healthy? Everything ok now?

Hi girls, hope you don't mind me joining you here too.
I'm 26 (27 this year) and OH is 31, we live in Mid Wales in a house that we own together with my sister and her OH (luckily it's a big old house!)
I had an early scan at 6+6 because I had some spotting, saw the shrimp with a lovely heartbeat! Next scan is booked for 10th May, which seems like an age away. It's also the same day as the start of my week's holiday which I sooo need at the moment.
The combination of not sleeping properly and feeling sick most of the day is wiping out any energy I had!

Congrats on your little one!!! and welcome lol

Morning ladies :coffee:

I'm shattered, Emma's been up since 5am  (what did I say?!) & has just gone for a nap. I'd get my head down too but I know what'll happen - I'll nod off and she'll wake up which leaves me 10x more tired, so I thought I'd come onhere instead :winkwink:

msmissa - Yeah everything looked great with little bean :cloud9: Very excited for my 12 week scan.

pinklizzy - Hiya! Welcome :hugs: What's your due date, if you've been given one, I'll add it to the first page. I had an early scan at 7+1 and my next scan is 13th May so we're pretty similar. I was given a due date but it wouldn't suprise me if it changes as from what I've read dating from early scans isn't too reliable. Daft question but again for the first page, is your name Lizzy!?

Hi Sam, at the moment my due date is Nov 18th but as you say, might change after the next scan! Yup my name is Lizzy/Liz!
Such a long day today 8-7 but at least I got 15 mins for lunch, better than most days. OH is working a late so curled up on the sofa with the dog and laptop!
