NOVEMBER Babies, write your day here! 29 BABIES BORN ALREADY!

Is it difficult?? :flower:

Well if you do it properly there is alot of reasearch into it all first then you have to be up 24/7 with the bitch for about a week before shes due till the pups are atlest 2/3weeks old. Then there is health tests with cost ££, stud fee's and finding a good stud. Buying/building a whelping box, Buying the whelping kit..

Registering each pup is £13, then the first jabs and mirco chip for them all at about £50 each, the weaning foods, vetbed at about £40, heat pad £20 etc

So if you do it right you will barely make a "profit" if any money espesh if your bitch only has say 4pups but has to have a c-section at around £1,000. Bitch could also die during whelp which then you have to handrear the pups with the added cost of puppy formula a good one is about £50 a tub, and you then have to feed and toilet the pups every 2hours.

Of course there are people who do it knowing nothing and buying nothing who are "lucky" their bitch and pups makes it and will make alot of money.

But its a messy job!

Sounds like alot of hard work!! How are your litter doing? ^.^

Well ladies I have another breech baby on my hands :( I hope she turns, because I'm trying for VBAC this time. I know she still has time, but it's hard for me to be confident when DD1 was the same way. But we had our 3d ultrasound yesterday, here are some pics :) She is 3lbs1oz, has a lot of hair that's already about 1cm long, and some chubby cheeks!

lovely pictures hun, Hope she turns for you, thats the only thing worrying me at the moment this little girly likes to keep going back to being transverse ahh! Now I would try to push a breach out but got no chance with a transverse baby lol

Aww she will have a full head of hair nothing cuter than little babys with thick hair!

Thank you - I hope she flips too. She is frank breech so they won't let me deliver her, and I'm not so sure I would want to considering this would be my first vaginal delivery lol yikes! This one was transverse for a while too, and I knew she had moved but had hoped it was the other way :( I hope yours turns for you soon, too!

I haven't been on here in ages...Wanted to say :hi:

Great photos Ashely..

Lesleyann, love the nursery progression and the pink bouncer!! :D

Rockin2boys...I love the name Elyjah!!!

AFM...just plugging away at lab...can't wait to start my leave...but it won't be until I am 38 weeks I think...

Transverse seems to be quite common round here. Mine was then he turned breech and then last week he went back to being transverse. Got to go for evc in 4 wks if he doesn't shift which i'm not very happy about and i'll be gutted if i have to swap my water birth for a c-section! I've been told as he's my 4th i can have a VD if he goes breech again so i'm keeping everything crossed that things go either head or bottoms up lol xx

Lot's of naughty babies around at the moment!!! I dont know how mine is facing at the moment, but i had a very vivid dream last night, i was laying in bed (as i was) and i felt Ely punch so hard, but keep his arm extended out, and i put my hand there and could move my fingers along his hand and arm?!! Sooooo very strange, im pretty sure it didn't ACTUALLY happen as im sure that would of really hurt lol, but i did have a very poor night's sleep so it just felt so real!! >.<
Can't belive how detailed the 3D scan is!! You can measure how long her hair is?!! So very sweet!!

Hi ladies, i've been missing again, i keep forgetting to come back here  Loving the 3D scan pics and baby talk! Looks like we're all coming along quite well but yes, a lot of naughty bubbas... mines transverse/breech too! Keeps going between the two but never head down, gah! On top of that i've been told having a strong anterior placenta (as mine is) is making it more difficult for him to fully turn?

I was supposed to be seeing my consultant in a week and a half to talk through this all and have another scan on the 28th Sept but now i've bloody been diagnosed with gestational diabetes too, so have to swap to a different consultant at a different hospital. I'm seeing him Wednesday. Feel like i'm losing control of this pregnancy a little at the moment :nope: xox

<----------------------------haha speaking of naughty babies

awww sorry to hear that sparkly, i'm sure it will all turn out ok in the end. At least we're all on the home strait xx

Oh no's!! Sorry to hear that, but at the same time i must ask, what does it actually mean? Dietry changes, birth complications? Im just not sure??
I hope you'll still be able to get in your extra scan though!! It's exiting to see LO on the screen, especially when you can feel the movements while watching ^.^ I wonder if babies dream in the womb?? And what would they be dreaming about?? :flower:

Oh thanks ladies! :hugs:

2rockinboys - i haven't seen my specialist consultant yet (app is tomorrow, crapping it a little bit now!) but my MW explained that it would more than likely be ok to be controlled by diet, depending on whether my body reacts to the changes or not. It's about mainly cutting out false sugars and carbs, my body can't cope with normal amounts of these foods whilst pregnant, it can't produce enough insulin to break down the sugars enough therefore they hang around in my body and blood making me ill. The side effects i've had have been blurred vision, long and ongoing nausea/sickness and extreme tiredness.

I will have to get it confirmed properly but basically i'll be cutting out (or down on depending their stats) white breads/rice/potatoes/pasta/cereals/sweets/chocolate/cakes/fruits/icecream/yoghurts/fruit juices etc and replacing them with water/brown or wholemeal alternatives, lean meat, cheese and lots of green veg. I follow quite a healthy diet anyway but you don't realise just how many carbs are in everyday things that you don't even realise - that's been the struggle (and the fact i'm sheer craving anything sugary!). If my body still can't manage the levels (which i will have to check 4-5 times a day by fingerprick blood tests and a special machine) then they will look at medication.

Baby seems to be ok growth wise right now but GD babies can get very big if not controlled properly, which increases the c-section risk. They are also at risk from lung maturity problems, jaundice and glucose issues at birth too, this is something i want to learn more about tomorrow also. I'm glad my mum is coming along, she's so good at retaining info - i'm feeling my head may burst at anytime already!

Yes i hope i still get the scan, i haven't seen LO in a while, i miss his cute lil black and white pac-man face! lol He was eating up all the fluid last time like a little muncher, it was so funny. I've often wondered if they dream and what they'd dream about too... bless them, so cute snuggled away in there!

Wow, that's alot of info to take in, and that's without seeing the consultant!! I understand being upset, especially with the craving of sweet/sugar, and if this is gonna be taken away then big OH NO'S!!! You'll have to let us know how the consultation goes, hope all will be well and that they give you info in paper form too, explosive head would leave alot of mess lol :flower:
I jus read my bounty weekly update, and apparently babies do dream in the womb! ^.^ x x x

Awww i can just imagine our lo's snuggling away in dreamworld, that's so cute!!! You've reminded me, i need to pick up my 2nd bounty pack i think

The consultant and appointment was fab today, it was more of a class scenario with 2 other girls who were both nervous and head explodey too lol but we all got through it. I have to keep a food diary, keep carbs and simple sugars to a minimum and take/record my blood sugar levels 4 times a day. I've done it three times today with my special pretty pink needle machine and it's not as bad as i thought - my fingertips are a bit painful though from all the stabby needle goodness :/ I have to go back there every Monday to be monitored and as long as my levels after meals stay below 7.8 i shouldn't need to medicate. today they have been 4.3 and 6.1 which is fab! :happydance:

The biggest thing though is that they said i'm definitely being induced (or c-sectioned if he's still transverse/breech) no later than 38 weeks so it means i'm not a November baby anymore!! I think they'll sort it for mid October. I'd still like to hang out here with you ladies if that's ok though? :hugs:

of course you can!!

I think baby has turned now to head down :happydance:

Been getting alot of kicks in the ribs, was feeling sore just under my ribs and pushed down thinking it was how I was sat to get a good kick to the hand as if to say "oi mummy your squshing me!!"
