Same here cherry! Hey girl! Catching you over here now eh? 28th is when my AF is due, sadly I'm a late HCG shower so I have to wait till the end of the month and AF due day before I get my positive. Hoping to see you having your BFP this month :D

Opk was positive today so by tomorrow I will hopefully ovulate!!!

Welcome Cherry and good luck for your bfp this month!!

Yay!!! FF has given me crosshairs! It has put ovulation slightly later than what I was guessing by opks so I'm only 3dpo today. This tww is going to go so slow!!

Hi Ladies :flower:

Hope you don't mind me jumping in :winkwink:

Here's a little bit of background
I have pcos
This is the first cycle on 100mg Clomid cd2-cd6
Had a follicle scan and had some fab sized follies... my specialist was really pleased
Monday 31st Oct I went for bloods to see if I Od and they confirmed yes I did O which was amazing to hear as I don't usually O alone :happydance:

So now I'm waiting and waiting and .... waiting haha

I tested 8 dpo and surprise surprise it was a :bfn: I knew it was too soon but I had the urge.

Symptoms
Constipated
Peeing regularly
Gassy
Headaches
Dizzy spells 2/3dpo were really bad days
Hot flashes
Back pain since 4dpo ish
Twinges lower on both sides
Now have started breaking out in spots around my mouth... this could be because I am in the run up to af... not sure

My chart has now become triphasic too which is just not helping me to not get my hopes up :dohh:

AF is due either 7th or 9th... so I'll test on the 10th... if I can hold out that long

Wow that is later than one would think. I wonder why it thinks it was so late. I got my second positive opk. I told my DH today will be the last time we have sex but maybe I'll surprise him tomorrow with one more just in case!!! Hmmmm....

I think Im in the right spot. :) . trying not to be over hopeful but I just came off depo (16wks since last shot), I have not had af yet but would love a bfp my first cycle like some awesome stories I have heard. I have been temping and used a few lh strips and watching cm and all signs point to I Od. ff says I am 1dpo so fingers crossed. so now im in tww I guess, if its possible. I have been going to the gym also, I normally go 3 or 4 days a week and do cardio and weights to the point I am sore but now thinking maybe I should ease up. any advice for me?

Surprise him tomorrow as well just in case! Lol. Can't risk missing that egg!

I do wonder why it set it so late, I know ovulation occurs 12-24hrs after your LH surge, but ff has detected based on my thermal shift implying that my LH surge was close to 48hrs before ovulation. Not sure how accurate that is but I'm glad it's agreeing that I have ovulated.

Babydust28 - I have PCOS too and dont O on my own. I have taken Clomid this cycle and O'd did trigger shot and IUI. In my TWW - 4dpo/6dpt. Do you follow a special diet on PCOS? I typically follow Paleo because my moods substantially change when I cut the carbs/sugar/Dairy out, however, this week I have been "bad" and not followed at all.

addison8991 - I had the same worry this cycle. I did IUI and was worried about working out because I typically go hard (to the verge of vomitting) in my spin classes, I go 5-6 times a week, sometimes 2x classes a day. My RE said to continue as normal except for 24hrs after IUI, however, I am being overly cautious and only have been 3x this week and got a bike in the back and went at my own pace. When I felt my heart rate going up I slowed down. I also didn't do any of the AB exercises because I am scared that will hurt my chances. So, I would still go to the gym and make yourself feel good, but I wouldn't go all out. Hope this helps!

PS - I signed up for this competition at my spinning studio and this TWW is really messing up my standings, it is killing me to not go hard and wanted to cry in class last night because I wasn't in the front row! The sacrifices!!!

Welcome babydust and Addison!

Your symptoms are all sounding good babydust!

Addison, that's very lucky to get fertility back so soon after coming off depo, I know most advice is that fertility can take a year to come back after depo, but to have signs of ovulating already is great! No advice on the work outs though I'm afraid, I go to the gym for spa treatments rather than anything else :haha:

No I don't follow any diet to be honest, I know I should calm down on carb in take but I'm so in love with carbs so I have been just eating as I like... I don't eat terrible to be honest.
I was going to be given the trigger it i didn't O alone but looks like I didn't need it so im just waiting at the moment to see if we succeeded. I just woke from a nap, I'm getting very sleepy through the day.

Do you have a date in mind when you're thinking of testing?

Thank you, I'm keeping everything crossed that it's my lucky month, as I said above... I have just woke from a nap, I struggle to go through the day without a nap but I keep thinking it could be because it's winter and I get cosy indoors which makes me sleep...

I love carbs so much too, I am Italian - it is like a staple in my life! It is great you O'd on your own and sleepy during the day is a really good sign. I am not having any symptoms :( I am holding off to test next Thursday it will be 12dpt/10dpo. Hopefully trigger will be out of my system by then.

I must have some Italian in me somewhere as I'm just in love with carbs :haha:

That's great then... looks like we are testing around the same time.
I hope we can both her excited together over our results when we get our much prayed for :bfp:

Some people don't get symptoms at all... Infact I've read some women had more pregnancy symptoms when they weren't pregnant and then when they actually were they had zero symptoms so I guess it really doesn't matter... all I know is we are in until AF shows.

I see in your signature that you started on 50mg and now on 25mg... any reason for lowering your mg of Clomid? 25mg is really low right? X

Carbs are the best, Pizza, Pasta and Bread all day! lol Although, the chips in the UK are pretty kick ass!

Yes, I think we are testing around the same time, fx for sticky beans!!

My RE put me on 50 last cycle and I had 4 large follicles and she wouldn't take the risk of multiples so I had to let the cycle go. This cycle she lowered my dosage and I only had two large follicles, so it worked. I guess I responded too well to the clomid. Weird, right?! Some women have to keep increasing their dosage.

Wow that's amazing, I was started on 100mg straight away.
I guess different countries are different as I had 4 good looking follies, then I had one massive one which they thought was a sac of fluid so they didn't count that but I still had 4 good sized ones, two bigger than the other 2 but it means I had a dominant follicle on both sides with then a good sized back up on each side.
All specialists are different too I guess and they're the professional so I guess they know what they're doing better than you and i.
It's amazing you can have a low dose and respond so well.... I'm sure clomid can't be good for the body can it and imagine the higher the dose the worse for the body... That's just me assuming by the way.

I'm 10dpo today ff says but I think I'm 11dpo as I think I Od the day before and a lady on here also said she thinks it was the day before...either way I will hold out because when I tested 8dpo it broke my heart to see a :bfn: but it was obvious it was going to happen and then I later realised the ic I used was expired back in 2014!! Damn!

You are correct, every RE is different. I think in the US they are a bit more conservative because of the risk of the multiples and they could face legal issues if they knew the women had 4 large follicles but still went ahead with the IUI. That is what I am assuming, it could also be my RE is very conservative and didn't want to take a chance.

Dominant follies on each side is great, I have that too this cycle! I am fx'ing that either way the spermies swim they will hit an egg!

It is so disheartening when you see that BFN. I have been looking at it like, I get to have some more alone time with DH and my dog before the craziness of baby comes into our lives.

How long have you been TTC? Will this be your first?

It's crazy you say that, I keep trying to keep positive even when I get a BFN as e get married April 2017 so it means I'll be a little less fat in my wedding dress

This will be the first, I have mc in the past but it was very early on, I was totally devastated as you can imagine as I broke it to my family just before Xmas and then inbetween Xmas and new year I started bleeding and knew it was over for us.

We've actually been trying for around 5years now... only recently seeked fertility help and that's when I found out I have pcos... I left it so long to seek help because I just kept telling myself it'll happen in time.

How about you?

Exactly, look at the positive! If BFN, you dont have a baby bump for wedding and if you do get a BFP you get a baby!! It's a win/win! I am sure it must be upsetting with the m/c and trying for 5 years. I am so sorry for your loss.

DH and I have been married for a year and just started pro-actively trying in Sept. This will be the first for both of us. I think we are both secretly scared of the unknown but excited to be TTC. It is my DH 40th birthday at the end of the month and I am throwing him a surprise birthday in two weeks (inwhich he has no idea!). It would be such a great present if I could surprise him with the party and a pregnancy... I am a glutton for punishment and love putting myself under unnecessary pressure. lol

I feel like we were separated at birth, I am a lover of organising things and then think urghh why did I do this... I didn't need this stress or pressure lol but then I do it time and time again.

Have you had any comments such as when are you two going to seal the marriage and have a baby? I hear so many people saying it to newly weds and they just have no idea what's going on underneath it all.

Me and my partner have Been overhear 10years and so many people say come on you pair where's the children it's about time now... and I just could punch them. Sorry that sounds very harsh but it's true they don't realise what hurt it's causing.
Me and my partner are both 27, went to school together and were best friends through school he fancied me but I didn't want to chance a relationship as it would ruin a fantastic friendship but in the end we decided what the hell and just chanced it and I'm so glad because we get on so well.

When did you find out you had pcos? X

I am exactly the same way, the DH has to calm me down sometimes. I am overly organized, I plan our holidays to the T, what we will be doing and when, have all our reservations for restaurants and tours scheduled etc. I already put together our thanksgiving dinner menu and enlisted the family with tasks on what they have to cook. lol.

That is sweet, you two were meant to be. I truly believe in soul mates and everything happens for a reason. I am such a romantic.

OMG, my mother is DYIIINNNGGG for a grandbaby! She is the crazy lady you see who just goes over to random people's kids to hold. It is very funny. Example, my DH couldn't come with me to the IUI appointment and my mom was like, I am coming. I want to be there for the conception and see the eggs, then she can say she was there from the begging. SO there is lots of pressure from mommy! My dad actually got on the phone this week when we were speaking and said we both need to cool it because he doesn't want us to get disappointing if this doesn't work.

So there is that! lol

What gets me isn't so much my mother, but all of the Facebook posts!! I literally started crying one night. You see all these people you grew up with and in some cases years younger than you (for me at least) who have 1-, 2+ kids. And there Halloween outfits or just doing normal things like eating and it kills me. I get super emotional because that is what I want and I don't have it.

DH, was not sympathetic and told me to get off facebook if I am going to get upset about it. Yeah right, I am not getting of FB. lol

I was diagnosed with PCOS at 19, I had thyroid Cancer and they found it then. I take Metphormin, do you take that? I think that is what you are supposed to take when you have PCOS.
