Just to pass the time, will you be having a nursery? will it be done before baby arrives and if so what colours or ideas do you have? I am thinking pretty neutral colours, perhaps cream/brown colours but still not sure. love pastel colours too. Does anyone think light blue is okay for a girl too???

Of course light blue is a great color for girls! :D I have done my bathroom up in this beautiful icy blue color with light sand towels and white accents. It's so relaxing going in there.

I will be having a nursery, our house is small so once the baby isn't waking every hour it will be in there to sleep. I have the girls theme kind of set with a pretty purple theme (I love purple!). I was at Babies R Us and they had such cute nursery themes especially for boys. They had this cute giraffe one I really liked. I love to decorate and paint and do projects so the nursery is going to be a work of art when I'm done. I will have finished painting and decorating the whole house by this year so by then I will be itching for a project.

Yes light blue is lovely. Just like the sky! Blue is a very relaxing colour too, it's recommended for bedrooms so will be perfect for a nursery.

We rent at the moment so will not be able to decorate but if I could I really like pale yellow and maybe a jungle theme.

I'm thinking something like Noahs ark our some other kind of pastel mural, are team yellow so we won't be able to have gendered colours. I want it ready before baby's comes because I don't much fancy doing it when we have our hands full but I guess it won't be in the for a couple of months. I don't intend to keep then in our room for that long and I'll use it for changing etc anyway so good to have it ready.

I've already painted our spare room pale yellow in preparation!😳
I will then have white nursary furniture. I have also seen a gorgeous quote that I want to paint on the wall..
"All you need is faith and trust and a little bit of pixie dust!"
Though for that I feel it would need to be a girl so I will wait and paint that bit afterwards!

Light blue sounds great :). We were team yellow both times and DS's nursery was beach themed- lot's of pale blue. DD's nursery is yellow with animal wall stickers, if we have a 3rd s/he will go in there and DD will move to another room. Here are a couple of pics (spoilered becuse they're massive):

Lovely pics. IM so excited about thinking of the nursery. I think cream and light blue accents would be nice with pine furniture. I love all your ideas though it is a fun room to do up. I was reading something that mentioned baskets for easy access instead of drawers?

Light blue is definitely okay for a girl!! And I am thinking that we will have a nursery and me and my love will work on it all while I am pregnant and done with light brown walls, natural colored crib, some deer mounts (me and my love are hunters and fishers), and lots and lots of camo!

I'm doing a beach theme and I already have LOADS! I've even bought light blue paint. I have themed tablecloths, cushions, bookends and plenty of shells! I'm also sewing a quilted panel for the wall with sandcastles and beach huts on it.

That's very nice. I've never really thought about what theme or themes I want yet.

Here's some that I like. I definitely will take bits and pieces from everywhere.

I love those symphony. I don't think i will necessarily will have a theme but perhaps bits and pieces that match. Think neutral walls. It says green is a good colour so perhaps light green or blue such as curtains pillows etc.

Loving that sleigh cot in the second Pic!!

Our son had a nursery but it was never used :dohh:

We'll be doing one again this time but it will be used. The room that will be a nursery is currently all white. I'm not really sure what theme we'd go for. I may keep it all white or just paint one wall.

I love the third one. I looked up nursery ideas for boys and I really like this one:
