I get Dr Bronners at target or online for large amounts. It's just pure soap with essential oils (or not). At first glance, it looks expensive (about $15 a quart) but its super concentrated,so you dilute, dilute, dilute! We use it for everything from face & hair to laundry and cleaning. I add stuff in sometimes, and mix it in our own bottles - with coconut milk for shampoo and vinegar for cleaning...plus any essential oils! Love it!! And, it comes to around a dollar or 2 for a bottle of shampoo or wash!
I agree, pure coconut oil is a little too greasy at first, but it used to take about 5-8 min for my skin to absorb it and be presentable, but after just a week, it became pretty much instant. Our skin and scalp have to adjust from all those products they're used to!!
Also, its antibiotic & anti fungal, so it's not a greasey that will cause a breakout (plus its spf 4 & anti aging!) Oh, and it has to be the unrefined, extra virgin coconut oil (just under a dollar an oz) for the skin to be able to absorb it. Can you tell I'm a huge fan lol...mostly I just hate that the cosmetic industry is making billions off poisioning us. Even baby lotions, gentle washes, regular soaps, and lotions are chalk full of toxins and carcinogens
