"O" around July 17, looking for buddies!

Newlyweds: I am on CD7 and was thinking of starting OPK this sat/sunday too so CD10/11? I am not sure when I will O, so I am really hoping the OPK catches it.

Hi IcePrincess, sorry about your loss in jan :( You are in the right place, this is our month for April babies! :) we are spreading the baby dust around like crazy so we catch those eggs :)

I'm on CD 16 - set to O 19-22 so started OPKs today but not too strict on them this cycle..BD'd last night and will try to get some action tonight but DH had a couple of beers and that usually means a long, but dry, night....so we'll see

as for the fertility specialist and HSG, I was not ordered an HSG until the FS got all of our bloodwork back to make sure it wasn't something there, and also DH's SA to make sure his swimmers were alright (which they are :)

Newlywed2013 that would be a fantastic anniversary gift! Keep positive! :)

I'm on CD 8. I started the OPK today even though I'm not supposed to ovulate until CD12. I just don't want to miss it! I'm just really ready to get through the TWW. Feels like it takes forever!

Hope everyone is doing well as we head towards "O" day!
:dust: :dust:

Anyone else experiencing acne on their face leading up to O? I've had this the past two cycles, just on the left side, which happens to be the side of my functioning ovary as well..

Cd 8 for me! Expecting to o on cd 14...almost time :) this cycle is dragging by!

I used to get a hormonal breakout out before o, and the week leading up to AF. I hated it! Once I removed most chemicals, and starting using (diluted) Dr.Bronners Magic Soap with Tea tree oil, and coconut oil after, instead of Proactive, Dial, and all those "face washes" and lotions, it cleared right up- like the next day there was a difference! I also use baking soda about 2x a week to exfoliate. And I am saving so much $$! Seriously, I haven't had a pimple since :) I am trying my hand at making an all natural body lotion/conditioner, but coconut oil works great - a tad expensive for your whole body though!

I usual break out bad a couple of days after AF ends. For me it's usually around my chin and head. Not sure why. Wish4baby, where do you by your face soap? I am currently am using a product called Simple and it doesn't seem to be as harsh as some of the other products out there. I'd love to find something that didn't have what feels like a ton of chemicals. It seems to make the breakouts worse.

If anyone was curious about the soft cups, I tried one last night and it actually wasn't too bad. I wasn't sure if it was going to fit but once it was in, I didn't even feel it. The hardest part for me was getting it. Took a min to figure out.

I've tried the coconut oil a few times on my face but it just feels too greasy for me...I usually use neutrogena at night, or my Vicky 3-1 cleanser/makeup remover if I wore makeup that day (not that often) my chin is usually a problem spot all the time because I'm always resting it on my hand, and talking on the phone at work :(

I've never hear of Vicky...how well does that work? My husband thinks my breakouts are due to stress but I still don't want to give up on finding a face cleaner that works great.

Sorry I meant to write Vichy...it works well most of the time...i like that it will remove all my makeup, even the mascara :)

Anyone ever tried Reflexology to aid in TTC? DH got me a gift certificate for a spa for christmas so I am going to use it for a couple of treatments and see how it goes...I've heard good things about it

Where is everyone to in their cycle days ? I am around cd9 now, so I will probably try my opk's on friday or saturday.. I'm usually not too early with o it seems. But still going to bd ! I don't want my dh to feel like the only reason I want to bd is because of this reason so I feel bad when I talk about it more during my o !

Hi Newlyweds2013,
Im on CD 11, good Lord... this month is dragging! Ive a bachelorette party this weekend, still hoping to BD at least once a day from tomorrow until next Saturday.... ooohhh 9 days of :sex: in a row... poor DH! Will have to do a schedule!!

Im sitting at work now, hoping noone is looking over my shoulder, sippin on my RLT, and munching on my vits!

Babydust to all!!!! :dust:

I get Dr Bronners at target or online for large amounts. It's just pure soap with essential oils (or not). At first glance, it looks expensive (about $15 a quart) but its super concentrated,so you dilute, dilute, dilute! We use it for everything from face & hair to laundry and cleaning. I add stuff in sometimes, and mix it in our own bottles - with coconut milk for shampoo and vinegar for cleaning...plus any essential oils! Love it!! And, it comes to around a dollar or 2 for a bottle of shampoo or wash!
I agree, pure coconut oil is a little too greasy at first, but it used to take about 5-8 min for my skin to absorb it and be presentable, but after just a week, it became pretty much instant. Our skin and scalp have to adjust from all those products they're used to!!
Also, its antibiotic & anti fungal, so it's not a greasey that will cause a breakout (plus its spf 4 & anti aging!) Oh, and it has to be the unrefined, extra virgin coconut oil (just under a dollar an oz) for the skin to be able to absorb it. Can you tell I'm a huge fan lol...mostly I just hate that the cosmetic industry is making billions off poisioning us. Even baby lotions, gentle washes, regular soaps, and lotions are chalk full of toxins and carcinogens :(

Ooh, awesome! I looked at a foot reflexology chart and have been rubbing that area myself (or even better, hubby!) not nearly as good as a professional reflexology massage! I'm envious!! Please tell us how it goes :)

Hi everyone !

Yes, I agree with you all - this month really seems like it is dragging by ! But then again, I do not want to wish away my summer because before you know it it will be winter time again.
I think I will start my opk's tomorrow just to be sure I don't miss my o either.. Ever since I stopped my bc my cycle has been around 32 days, but it never used to be that long so I'm afraid it will switch back to 28 days and I will miss my o ! But we bd'ed last night and hopefully will everyday this weekend.

Ice Princess - Sorry for your loss :( Hopefully summertime will be your lucky time !!

PDubs - I always get one random pimple on my face right before my AF, and I never get them any other time, so honestly I think it is just the hormones !!

Ally - I was wondering about soft cups ! I feel like I wouldn't be able to use them properly !! Did it take you long to get it in and get it back out ? How long did you leave it in for ? & When you took it out was there much in it ? (Haha, I have so many questions).

Has anyone ever used Pre Seed ? I can't find it so I may have to order it online, but I am considering it because last night we had to use regular lube and that's not supposed to be healthy for the swimmers, so I really don't want to have to use it again.

Enjoy the bd'ing, haha !! Hopefully we have some excitement at the end of the month :)

We got the preseed from Target but I've heard it's also at Walgreens and Walmart. We only used half of what it said to. The soft cup didn't take too long. I had hubby put it in when I was laying down. After he read the directions, he just slipped it in. I hardly felt it. I wore it for the 30 mins I lift my hips. It's probably a little early since I have about 4 or so days until ovulation but I figured why not. When I went to take it out it was kinda gross but I never find clean up after bd fun anyway. I did have to bear down to be able to get my finger around the lip but once I did, it slid out just as easy as it did going in. I don't think I'd use it during my cycle though. Hope that wasn't tmi.

Do you order the essential oils? I'd love to learn to make my own cleaning and beauty supplies. We've been able to cut out a lot of processed foods. Everything seems to have some chemical or another it.

Yes, I am ordering a lot of essential oils!! It gets a bit expensive b/c I go crazy :) my close friend is a young living consultant, and their oils are the best but the most expensive. I usually get most of mine at a better price through mountain rose herbs or edens garden because i order alot. For cleaning, you definitely want four thieves blend, and lemon is good too. Easiest all purpose cleaner- Castile soap, water, vinegar and thieves...hth

As far as our baby making, nothing new to report...just chugging along until next week! Been online baby stuff browsing :( Don't know why I do that to myself, but I can't help it lol. Oh, also volunteered for the infant room in my older kids' homeschool co-op, can't decide if it'll help or make it worse. I promise I won't steal a baby though :/

Thanks! I will definitely make note of that. Maybe it will end up being less expensive than the stuff I use now. Shopping organic is not cheap.

I look at baby stuff all the time. It's hard but you're right, it's addicting. It's all so cute. I looked at strollers tonight and they have quite a selection. I try and hold a baby whenever I can.

Hi newlyweds...PreSeed is hard to get ahold of in Canada...where do you live? I know there are some small shops in Toronto and Ottawa that carry it, but none in London where I am so I ordered it online with my OPK strips...we only use it when I really need it and it's fertile time...

speaking of which...fertile time and I've missed two nights in a row because I'm trying to "let nature take its course" for DH and BDing but he just switched jobs and now is working 11pm - 9am and it's totally messing everything up haha ..boo :(

Newlywed2013...I'm so sorry I didn't realize you we're in Canada. Hopefully you'll be able to find it and give it a try. For us, I figured it couldn't hurt to try.

Sometimes trying to line everything up perfectly can be frustrating. Anytime my hubby's schedule changes we have to find a new rhythm.
