October 2018 Bumpkins!

We always get a round of the flu every year but their immune systems are pretty strong so it goes pretty quickly! Ahhh I know it'd be crazy! My uterus tilts forward a bit so it may make it easier but this is the earliest I've felt it!

Hi ladies! I had my first scan today at the fertility clinic! Everything looked good! I'm to go back in (or go to my ob/gyn if I can get in that soon) for another scan at 8 weeks.

I'm so relieved to see the little bean and so incredibly thankful that it's strong and growing well. So far it looks like there's only one. I did have two eggs this cycle so they warned that it's possible another one will still pop up, but for now it looks like it's a nice healthy singleton!

Such a cute little bean , what if another pops up will you be excited ? Twins run in my family naturally I have 19 year identical twin brothers so its a very real possibility for me

smurphy that's so cool! Glad everything is healthy!! I don't know what i'd do if i had twins, i think i'd go insane lol.

I started having a slight nagging/throbbing little pain in my left side between my bottom rib and pelvis yesterday. It's barely even painful, just more like a vague little pinch every 10 seconds or so. It very well could be a muscle spasm or maybe ligament pain, but it is still going today. I've also had very light spotting for 4 days now, not even visible when i wipe or anything, only when i check my cervix. At first it was just tan cm then yesterday it was pink, and today tan brown again. So those two things plus my hcg and prog being a little on the low side last friday, I decided to go in for my 2nd blood draw today rather than waiting until next week. Those things could all be totally unrelated and benign, but they are also 3 possible symptoms of an ectopic. So she did a 2nd hcg and prog test today and i'll probably not get the results until monday unless one of the dr.'s calls me over the weekend, which i doubt. If the hcg isn't doubling properly or if the pain increases then it's a good chance it could be an ectopic. So i'll just have to wait and see. The doctors were attending a birth this morning so they haven't been able to call me back yet but hopefully I'll get to talk to them later today. Fingers crossed it goes away and is just a muscle spasm or something benign like that. I can feel that my uterus has grown a little bit higher, it's still behind pubic bone but def a little higher than usual, so it could also be ligaments stretching or something. Hoping for the best!! But it's always better to be safe than sorry! My cousin's wife had a very scary ectopic before conceiving their first and she was in the ER and lost her tube, so I don't want to ignore it and end up in that situation. Wish I could get my hcg results today though to stop me worrying lol! I did my last hpt today and the test line is finally darker than the control, so hopefully that is a good sign. I wonder what the hcg count has to be for that to happen.

Aww lomelindi! Sending you big hugs and I hope you receive some positive results on Monday. I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you! :hugs: :hugs:

Lomelindi :hugs: I am keeping my FX crossed for you. You are right better safe than sorry. And if it is making you anxious it is best to ease the concerns.

My god all these scans coming up! I have to wait until 12 weeks... lucky ladies!

Smurphy look at that cute little bean!

Katie I am so sorry everyone is sick. And imagine. Twins? Woot

Fx Lomelindi that bub is where it ought to be and hcg is just off to a slow but normal start.

Katie sorry your house has the flu. Hope it passes soon. Excited to find out if your twin guess is right.

Congrats on seeing bean Smurphy!

No pains so far today! Phew!! Hope they don't come back!!

I have a scan booked in 2 weeks. Does anyone else feel like the time is just dragging? Really want to see the little peanut. 😊

I need advice ladies...
I have a note from doctor to schedule my first ultrasound. I would like to to go as soon as the chance to see the heartbeat is almost sure. Like i don't want to have the situation where we don't have the hb visible, but the doc says "maybe its just too early"... But I also don't want to wait too long. Do you think at 7w0d will be good for this?

By the way... Had my first doctor visit today. My office just joined a new private medical care aid which gives me a list of doctors who i can visit for free. If i use this medical care, i also get 4 ultrasounds and all bloodtests for free. Problem is that this doctor on their list (the only English speaking pregnancy OB) is a complete idiot. I met him today and was completely unimpressed. He could not guide me about anything. Had no opinion on what i am supposed to eat, no opinion on when i should get ultrasound... When I told him that i have morning sickness, he just wrote me a sicknote to take off work for 2 weeks, he didn't even give me one hint on what I can do to make morning sickness better...
In Poland, medical care is free - but all public doctors will not be able to speak English. So my only alternative to this doctor is to go to a different private English speaking doctor which would be quite expensive (mostly for the tests needed over the coming few months)... Bleh... What a disappointing day...

Sorry for the rant...
