Yvanne is it conjunctivitis he is getting a lot of?

Has it only started recently (say from aabout April/May)?

Is it watery or sticky?

Is the eye red?

Is it itchy?

Do the lids look red at all?

Sorry for the Spanish inquisition but just wondered if there is possibly an underlying cause to it.

Poor wee mite eye drops are horrid especially when they small.

Hope it clears soon.

yep hes gettin it loads.. is sticky.. eye is very red.. dunno if its itchy, he seems 2 rub it alot tho, i asked doc if there was a reason he was gettin it so much(6th or 7th time!) an i h8 usin drops as hell become immune!

hes had it b4 april tho

Was wonering if it was seasonl allergic conjunctivitis but probably not if had it earlier in the year.

When you finish the course of drops do his lids look red or are there any white spots on his lashes (looks a bit like eczema on his lids) ?

His tear ducts aren't partially blocked? Do his eyes water much (apart from when he cries)? Are the insides of his eyes near his nose swollen at all?

will need 2 w8 n see for 1st 2 questions, his eyes dont water much, n dont seem swollen

poor wee man!

Have a look and see hun, 'cos it could be something called blephritis, (lids red and looks a bit like eczema), if so this could be causing the conjunctivitis, if so a basic lid care may help. This involves cleaning top and bottom kids with cotton bud and baby shampoo.

It may also be worthwhile gently massaging the side of nose just under the corner of his eye 'cos if his tear duct is slightly blocked then this again will cause recurrent conjunctivitis.

If it is happening regularly it could just be one of those things, but if it were me I would be asking for referral to eye specialist (ophthalmologist).

If GP is just chucking antibiotics at it and not looking at the eyes in detail, it maybe worth seeing if your local optician is prepared to have a look. It maybe easier said than done 'cos he is so little, but maybe worth a try.

Would offer myself but u a bit far away lol.

Aw bless him the poor lil man!!

Get better soon!
