Maybe you just get some of your ovulation symptoms earlier. Just bc you have EWCM doesn't necessarily mean your temp is up or that you are actually ovulating. Maybe it's just your body gearing up for it? I really don't know, it just seems like something that could make sense. Definitely test again in the morning though. And since you BDed anyways, you should be good either way! : )

Last month on Clomid I did the trigger shot on CD17 I believe, so I probably Oed the day after that. Or so I would assume...

Typical for my husband...but I am sure I could convince him. Honestly though I would rather talk him into a test to make sure he is in working order (from his previous surgery)...it worries me.

I guess Santa is going to bring some vitamins instead of coal...lol!

my husband has never been the macho type. He has gotten tested no questions asked and we decided way before the fertility issues that he would get a vasectomy when the time came. I have explained to him how our bodies are just more complicated.

He also had a similar experience with the old porn. And I said well it worked so there must not have been too much to complain about.

My DH got tested too, and he was pretty good spirited about it. We joked about it the weekend before he had to go in, lol. He said they had no porn in there, we were surprised! It was a bathroom, and it was the same drill as giving a urine sample... Do it in the cup, and then put it in one of those little turny things, and someone on the other side collects it. He said he had to use his phone for something to watch, lol!! Here's what's funny... I told him to call me when he was out... His appointment was at 9:45, and he was calling me from his truck by 9:55. Ha!

Yep, its just five pills. The doc tells you exactly which days to take them. Mine are cd5-9, but some are 3-7 or 2-6 (like loubear in this thread). We take the pills for five days, and then you can O within 5-9 days after taking the last pill. Somehow my doc seemed confident that I would O on cd14 or so, and he turned out to be right for my last cycle, so we'll see how this cycle goes!

Ya know, I'm thinking you might be an early ovulater like I was... if you got two dark lines on your OPK on cd7, you could O a day or two later. Did you check to see if the test line got any darker today? I think you're doing everything in your power by DTD every other day anyway, so it doesn't matter too much, but if I were you, I'd still check and see which day the test line is the darkest, and then assume you O'ed sometime around the day after that or so. The only reason I bring this up is because early ovulation was the whole reason my doc put me on the Clomid. Plenty of girls get prego ovulating early, so it's not always an issue at all! But since I had been trying for 10 months, he just thought it was a possiblity that my eggs weren't maturing enough before being released OR the uterine lining wasn't given ample time to thicken before implantation. I think both of those things CAN be a problem for early ovulaters, although not always. Just something to consider. I seemed to be O'ing around cd10 before I got on the Clomid.

Thanks for all the help ERose! It is nice you are able to control O through medicine to push it back to a better time.

My cycles are usually short (24-26 days) but I have had a long one or two (30+ days) and right when I stopped BC I had super short (21-22 day cycles)...I don't temp or use opk's regularly though. Well until now. I started yesterday with the first opk with the two darkish lines - today the second line was lighter...so who knows! I am still going to DTD every other day and see what happens.

Totally makes sense about the mature eggs or the lining and I obviously want a healthy baby so I will do what it takes. I will continue to use the opk's daily and see what kind of lines I get. Thanks for your explanation!!

I'm feeling pretty good actually, thanks for asking! My face hasn't broken out yet, lol. It did last cycle when I started the clomid, but I suppose it may not necessarily have been from the med. Then again, I'm only three days in, and I don't even take today's pill until tonight. So for all I know, it could still happen.

So you got a lighter line yesterday? Was that cd8 for you? And you're sure it was the test line that was lighter, not the control line? If so, it really sounds like you O'd cd7 or 8. What are your temps doing now?

Sorry for the multiple posts, girls! I just thought of something else I wanted to vent about and ask the other clomid users who are temping. Notice my chart in my signature below... See that crazy spike? I believe that's from the clomid. I had erratic temps last month too, and I read that clomid can do that. Anyone else experience that? Drives me nuts, because FF has a hard time determining my cover line because of that. The temps are supposed to level out after the pills are done, but I'm pretty sure my whole chart was fairly erratic last month. Ugh. There was still a pattern of higher temps during the TWW though, so that was a relief! I just don't like looking at such a crazy chart!

Yep, yesterday was CD8 and the line was lighter. Does it help to save all the tests to compare or after the 5 or so minutes is the test not accurate? I am testing today around noon so I will see what the lines look like then

Unfortunately I do not temp because I wake up at random times during the night to use the bathroom - reading info it sounded like you needed to sleep for a few hours and take temp around the same time each morning before getting out of bed.

Omg! So funny! My husband had to flip a switch when he was done and then they came in and got the cup from him. He said they looked at it and swirled it around in the cup. Lol, wouldn't you love to have that job?! My husband has a friend who had to do it too, and that guy said they sent him out to his car with the cup!!! I couldn't believe it!! Hahaha!

I'm not temping, but just in general I can feel that temperature fluctuates A LOT on the clomid. One minute I'll be hot. The next I'm cold. Then I'm clammy. Then I'm fine. I do randomly take my temperature throughout the day sometimes though and I've noticed it's generally a little higher than usual. I think the clomid really just messes with a lot of things!
How are you feeling today? I had some cramping this morning so I feel like it's working! Haha, if that's even possible. But it makes me feel better to think that way. Lol.

I think the test was about $200 not covered by insurance. But you never know with each policy. It seems insurance companies are just not sure if they want us pregnant or not...insane.

I think they say wait 12 months before testing.

Couldn't remember if you are one of the clomid buddies...just remember the clomid can give you a false positive on the opk...so I would keep testing & try to keep up the regular baby making sessions.

Not a job I would want! How odd for your husband's friend, I can't imagine having to carry my clear plastic cup in from the parking lot and hand it to the nurse!

BDing tonight - going to keep up the opk's until the end of my cycle so I will see if I get any other darker lines or if they get lighter. If I do ovulate early it would explain why I haven't had a BFP yet...we don't start BDing until probably the 8th/9th day usually since my AF hangs around for quite a few days usually. AF was lighter and quicker this time - I am currently at CD9.

Thanks for the idea - going to keep the opk's and date them on a sheet of paper - great way to compare!

I am not taking clomid and haven't seen a doctor or had any tests run - I am on my 8th cycle TTC#1. I am learning a lot from everyone here in case I need clomid - thinking of calling and scheduling an appointment with my doctor in about 2 months (after the holidays)

Thanks for the approx. cost - I am not sure if our policy covers any testing, I haven't looked. I don't care about the costs and would just like to know since if there is a problem with one or both of us, I would rather not waste anymore time and get the help we need now.

allisonmh, that is hilarious about your DH's friend! I have never heard of such a thing! I'm surprised that they'd want him to do that in his car, omg!! Hahah! Thanks for responding about the temps... I decided to post a new question on one of the forums to see if any other clomid users have that same experience. According to the internet, its very common. But i always feel better hearing people's actual experiences. Even though you dont chart your BBT, its still good info about your temps seeming to be higher when you do temp throughout the day sometimes. That does make me feel a bit better. I hope my temps won't stay erratic like they did last cycle...some of what I read said they usually level out after the last pill. I'm hoping this cycle they will!

Oh, and I'm feeling pretty good still... no trouble sleeping, no hot flashes yet, and not even a pimple on my face this time! But again, just three days in, so we'll see. How about you? You doing better on it this time?

Oh, and savvy, some insurance does cover stuff like that, and others don't. I know my insurance covers infertility up to a certain amount... I believe it's a lifetime maximum of $10-15k (which is good in case i have to move on to IUI). And then there's even a separate lifetime max for IVF, so I was happy for that, just in case I end up having to try that (let's hope it doesn't get to that point). But the lifetime max on that is $10-15k also, and I'm thinking IVF costs more than that, so if I do get to that point, I'll end up having to come out of pocket for some of it.

Savvy, my husband's insurance actually covered his when we didn't think they would, so you never know. I think I remember them saying w/o insurance it'd be $120. So I'd say between $120-$200 would be right. Not too bad. I'd find out if your insurance covers infertility though, bc mine doesn't and it sucks. But if it isn't covered, at least you'll know and can ask about a discount for paying upfront.

And Erin, I feel fine so far. Just the short cramping this morning, I'm good. Maybe our bodies are just getting used to it now so we won't have as many symptoms. That's awesome that your insurance covers infertility! I wish mine did. My current insurance doesn't even cover maternity! Luckily we are getting on the insurance thru my husbands work so it'll at least cover maternity when the time finally comes, but it still won't cover infertility. : ( I think IVF can get pretty pricey, so if it came to that, I dont know what I'd do!!

That's really great insurance. I am looking over my policy right now for oepn enrollment. I just found out they have added IVF as something you can use your health svings account for which would be a bit of a tax break. I am not sure when I will be able to print out my new 2014 policy to see if they have decided to cover IVF or IUI. If I don't get a pos Nov or Dec, then I def have high hopes for what 2014 will bring me. So many doors should be opening & I will def be more prepared financially.

I don't know if I said this before, but my husband does have a low count & was referred to a Urologist. He is a new patient, so cannot get in until the first week in December. I have decided to take this as a sign that my BFP is coming this month...keeping the positive energy flowing. So if I get my positive, my husband won't need to go to the urologist.

Think of me the next few weeks guys. I plan to test next Friday to start...which is 14 dpo.
