Orgasm during birth?

Orgasmic birth: yes, please.
That'd be a huge "yay" and I would *love* to have that happen...and I'm not really clear on why anyone would find that "weird" or otherwise undesirable. And I'm not averse to manual stimulation if that seems like it might help at the time. Can't say I particularly care what the midwife thinks (although I'd like to think it'd be a funny story for her later) and FOB isn't going to be surprised by anything I do (things may have been rough between us for the last...year...but he knows me well.)

Wow is that all that is left. I count my weeks going by and it seems so far away but when I saw 4 months the number seems so little. Kinda hit me that it is really getting closer or as far off as I thought it was. Downhill slope now to the end.

If it happens to you, consider yourself very, very lucky.

With all due respect, how would you know?
Many of the ladies here have stated they'd be so humiliated if it happened that they wouldn't tell anyone.
And moaning, screaming orgasms don't happen too often outside of porno movies.
Perhaps many of your patients have experienced orgasm during labor.
Unless they announced that they were having one- which seems highly unlikely- neither you nor anyone else present would ever know.

Seems like a lot of gals are saying this happens with second stage. I'm at the bedside for the entire length of that time.
Even if they were quiet, I'm pretty sure I'd notice
You'd be surprised by how many women are NOT AT ALL embarrassed with their delivery nurse. Or, maybe I just put women at ease, lol.
I could see it happening during prodromal labor or even parts of first stage with manual stim.

Either way, I'd be happy for them. It sounds like a much better experience, although I still believe it to be a rare experience.

(FYI, Moaning screaming orgasms happen every time at my house, and I'm not a porn star!)

my OH always tells me i am more passionate about birth/pg/bfeeding etc than i am about him so he prob would not be shocked at all if i was to!!!
