Hi all! :flower:

I just wanted to say to all you PCOS people out there that ovarian drilling really can work! Just because it didn't work for others doesn't mean you should give up hope!

I'll start off by saying a little bit about myself!

I'm 22 and have been ttc for almost 15 months! I had amenorrhea for 7 years. I was underweight and so my amenorrhea was put down to that. However, I gained weight to a healthy weight and still no return of aunt flo. I was referred to a fertility specialist who firstly fobbed me off and told me to gain more weight (which would have made me overweight!!) He refused to give me medication and so I went against his wishes and was prescribed Norethisterone. I then went back for a second opinion and was told I had a small cyst on my left ovary. I had 3 periods following the Norethisterone! (YAAAAY!!) I then had a lap and dye test and was told that my ovaries were in fact covered in cysts and so they removed all of my cysts and i also had ovarian drilling. I then had a very light period for a total of 4/5 days and then nothing for 5 weeks!
I was then told to come back in a year for fertility treatment if I needed it!
I was about to give up hope when the :witch: FINALLY came!! yaaaay!

So this is just a message to all you ladies out there with PCOS who are either undergoing a lap and dye or are thinking about it! keep the faith!!:winkwink::flower:

Just a quick update! got my bfp on Thursday!! Never been so happy!!!! Hoping for a healthy pregnancy! Keep the faith ladies! Xx

so happy for you!! h&h pregnancy for you.I am on wait list for ovarian drilling...hopefully it will work for us too!!

Congrats rainbow91 on ur pregnancy. I too have pcos, and finally finished up all my testing. I had my surgery on July 15. I was wondering how soon after your surgery did AF appear on it's own; and how long did it take after the surgery to conceive.

Congratulations on your BFP! Wishing you a H&H 9 months.

Also, thank you for telling us your story - it's really nice to hear when things work. x

i went through OD yesterday.not so much pain.mild endmetrioses removed.tubes were ok. but ovaries covered with cysts which were removed....
anyone else has done it recently?

I've had my ovaries drilled 4x now. Periods showed up on time after the procedure. Depending on when they are done, it may reset you to CD1, but theoretically, it should be easier to conceive after having this done (Doc tells me because it allows the body to ovulate easier).

yea, my doc was so optimistic about OD.because all of 4 patients she had been operated this year fell pregnant naturally!
i dont have any pain on ovaries but some pain on my uterus.probably is beacause of endo removal.

HEllo Ladies,

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I have been recommended for Ovarian Drilling for high Lueitinizing Hormone values on CD 2 (8.46). I have started one cycle with Siphene but the doctors dont see any follicles developing on day 11....my dr. is quite keen that i undergo the OD next cycle. Just wanted to understand the different scenarios under which OD was recommended to everyone. My BMI is 25 so i am not overweight. Any inputs would be appreciated.
