Ovulation after birth??

How soon after giving birth do you ovulate?
I dont wish to get pregnant in the next few years, but i gave birth on the 27th, and have already stopped bleeding. Me and my partner had sex this morning for the first time since birth, and well yes 6days later i was sure i cant already be fertile, so we didnt use protection, but now i just want to make sure...

I was told you can't get pregnant for 3 weeks after giving birth. So this time should be OK but best think about contraception soon!
