Ovulation pain but negative opk?

This evening I started to experience some OP and took an opk test after not emptying my bladder for 4 hours and it was negative. I have been POAS since CD 9 and I'm now CD 16. Last cycle I got a + opk then experienced OP. Has anyone else experienced OP and had a - opk?

You might have missed the window for the opk to turn positive.

My cycles are 34 days. I've been temping also and haven't had a dip yet. The twinge lasted only a short time. My opk is getting darker but not + yet. It's just really irritating.

"Ovulation"" pain isn't a for sure symptom of ovulation. I get it multiple times through a cycle
