PCOS Buddies (10 BFP)

Just hoping in with confusion and scepticism today... I am around 9DPO..I THINK.. I see my doctor tomorrow to discuss Chlomid, and endo next month... today I think I have the start of a second line on my test. Im terrified to even look at it. Has anyone used Bluecross IC's here ? :S

How exciting!! Fingers crossed for you and like Golden said keep us posted!! :happydance:

Fx it is the start of your bfp May!

Afm, I haven't got a positive opk but I do have ewcm! :wohoo: so I'm keeping eveything crossed I do I soon.

Hi ladies :hi:

I'm a bit late to the party but I'd love to join you all.

Also have pcos and I'm ttc #2. I have a 3.5yr old son and he was conceived on my 3rd round of clomid and 5 years of trying.

Tryinv for number 2 has really taken its toll though. We weren't trying but not preventing after he was born because we didn't ever think it would happen naturally but it did and I got a surprise bfp Dec 2013. Sadly that was a mmc confirmed at 10 week scan. I've had another bfp on clomid since then that ended in a very early loss/chemical and another 2 natural bfp that have both been chemicals.

Currently my consultant won't prescribe me anymore clomid as I've piled on weight and my bmi is over. I'm supposed to be in 1800mg Metformin but I also haven't been taking that. I've been so down about it all lately I've kind of given up. I really do need to focus on losing weight!

It's great reading through and seeing all the support and advice you guys have been sharing. Really hope you all get your bfps soon x

PrincessTaz, welcome to our pcos party!

Seeing you ladies conceived with clomid gives me hope:happydance:

Im sorry about ur mcs, pcos is brutal when it comes to conceiving and having it stick. Ive never been pregnant but super scared of mcs since my endo said pcos ladies got 40% chance of mc:cry:

Do you mind me asking whats ur bmi now? and what were u before conceiving ur son? My doctor said that they dont prescribe clomid over 30 BMI, which is bit stupid but oh well, we will lose weight together:hugs:

My BMI was 30.5 when i first got diagnosed but now its 27, pcos diet works but really slow weight loss and kinda hard. I used to diet for two days and eat for 5 days! and start dieting every Monday. When i heard that i got pcos and infertility, it was a great motivation for me to stick to my diet.

How come u not taking ur metformin?

Goldenratio I honestly believe clomid is a miracle drug. I didn't ovulate at all before I had my son but since I had him I do now ovulate some cycles.

I don't mind you asking at all. When I was trying for my son it was just over 37 and I had to get it below 35 to have clomid which I did, I lost around 2st. Currently it's quite high again, probably close to 37, I did lose 3st last year but I've piled it all back on from comfort and stress eating.

That's my biggest battle right now because if I don't lose I think my consultant will sign me off and tell me to get a referral once I have x

PrincessTaz, you can definitely lose! also not sure if u read our previous post but if you hav insulin resistant pcos then its not ur fault that weight is pilling back so fast.

So how is ur current diet? do you workout? are u taking any supplements?

Well I was taking inositol, B6, folic acid and Metformin but I haven't been this last month or so because I was just fed up of not seeing results. To be fair I'm eating isn't great, I'll do really well for a week or so and then have a bad week so what I lose I always gain back. I think because the results are so slow I just feel.disheartened and give up but I know I can do because I have before. I'm too weak with saying no to sweet treats x

Hi Taz! I'm sorry you are struggling so much. Clomid is truly my magic pill for ttc. I believe my bmi when I got pregnant with ds was 34 ish. I'm currently around that now, I'm about 10 lbs lighter I think.

I know, weight loss is really slow and really discouraging.

Maybe instead of calling it a diet, make life time changes. Im not following any diet, or meal plan. I basically cut sugar, bad carbs and dairy out. Rest i eat whatever i want. Also do a cheat meal so you dont feel deprived.

I find that im eating more fruits now because im craving sugar but its def better than eating desserts and sweets. when i crave chips, i eat popcorn which is complex carbs.

When i first started metformin, it cut my appetite big time and i loved it but now it doesnt do anything

I've not really noticed much differnce with the Metformin except an upset tummy. I have just started taking it again this week and I'm trying hard to stick a healthy eating. I do really well all day, it's on an evening it all goes wrong.

I do need to stop making excuses and just do it though, I feel so down about myself at the moment as I did lose so much weight and now I'm back exactly where I started. I know what I need to do though.

I do like fruit but always buy the same.every week so hey bored, going to try mix it up a bit and start making some yummy fruit salads to much on x

Af came today :( I hope endo will give me clomid on Friday. I was hoping to start cd2 but Friday I will be cd4. Is it okey if I do cd4-8?

My cycles are 28-30 days tho so I thought I need to take it sooner than cd5

Hmmm, not sure. Around here 50mg days 5-9 is the standard starting point with clomid. My doctor just said it produces the least chance of multiples. She said it is supposed to produce less eggs but higher quality eggs on days 5-9.

Sorry af came goldenratio. Also I know a lot of people that take clomid cd5/9 so I think it should be okay x

Morning ladies!

So my temp is up again today. I'm wondering if I o'd on Monday. All things except my cm and opk point to that. And I did have a very dark but not quite positive opk Sunday so I'm inclined to think I missed my surge. Although cd 12 ovulation would be so early. I've never o'd before cd16.

Ladies!!! I got my BFP this morning! I didnt want to even write it because I know it can be really a pain in the butt to see but I share this in a hopeful way. We have been TTC for 15 months...been taking Metformin for 3..the only other thing i take is Vitamin D, 4000 miu a day.. Took a frer lastnight and had a very faint line, took one this morning and a very very clear pink beautiful line. I Hope so much you ALL have one ASAP. Please everyone keep your fingers crossed that this one sticks <3 im only 10 DPO and a ball of nerves.

Golden sorry to hear AF came!

May that is amazing news! :happydance: Congratulations so please for you! Will keep everything crossed for a sticky bean!
