May55 Aww congratulations. I personally love seeing bfps, especially when it's from.another person who's dealing with ltttc and pcos because it gives me hope. Praying for a sticky bean for you x

May55-CONGRATULATIONS!! So happy for you! I love seeing BFP's on this thread because I know eventually we all will get there. Fx for a sticky bean, take it easy when you can!

Hello ladies,

I'm new to TTC and the BNB forum. I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 12 after showing symptoms since age 6. I have always been told that TTC was pointless because my symptoms were severe at a very young age. However, after a very happy surprise, I ovulated on May 2nd for the first time in my whole 26 years! Today, 16DPO, I received my first real natural period (all others have been BC withdrawal). I'm excited to start this journey and to be surrounded by such wonderful cysters!! :)

Since I'm new, I am completely lost on products and there are so many out there! I'm looking for a reliable BBT, OPK, & HPT. Does anyone have suggestions?

Also, what about fertility-friendly lubricants? I read the following article, but I am unsure as to which one is actually good. Anyone try any of these? https://www.fitpregnancy.com/pregnanc...p-you-conceive

Welcome Atuck. That is fabulous you o'd on your own!!

I like the wondfo opks and hpts off Amazon. I usually get a pack with both. I think any bbt thermometer is fine. I use fertility friend to track my temps and it will confirm ovulation.

I personally really liked using preseed. We used it the cycle we conceived ds and thought it was a very nice consistency. I have also tried conceive plus but the smell is off putting for me.

As far as supplements read back through the posts. Golden has posted a lot of good information. I think she is right and you have to know what type of PCOS you have. Mine is insulin resistance type so following a low carb diet taking metformin can make a world of a difference for me.

Thank you so much for replying so quickly. I've been using the Ovia app to track for a couple of weeks now, but I've seen a lot of people using fertility friend to track.

I bought some of the clinicguard HPT, but heard from others that they are junk compared to Wondfo, so I'll have to try them.

thanks so much. Do you think there are specific things I should ask to be tested for as far as hormones or anything? I need to ask for sure about staying on Metformin because the endo wants me to stop :/

Yea definitely ask about metformin, and how u should be eating. That's all I can think of

I would ask them to check your progesterone level. A lot of PCOS women have issues with it so would be good to check. If it's low they can always supplement.

This is the biggest one I think.

I agree! My progesterone in tbe past has been okay but I've had 3 early losses now and I'm convinced by progesterone is low but he won't test again as when they forst tests well over a year a go it was okay.

My temps even pre ovulation are lower than they used to be, a short lp and ewcm during the 2ww and period x

oh yea progesterone! the most imp i forgot.

Btw should i get back on temping with clomid or its not ness?

Since AF came at 13dpo, im thinking i ovulated earlier than darkest opk.

I would probably still temp golden IMO... So you know if it is working or not x

Congrats on the :bfp: May! Good to hear a positive story!

Welcome PrincessTaz - sorry to hear about your losses x

Everyone at work keeps joking about me & OH getting married and having babies (we work together). Can only laugh it off so many times

Does anyone else find that AF stops and starts quite a bit? I'll have a couple of hours with nothing and sometimes it's only there when I wipe? Never had this before.

Yes temp!! It saves my sanity to know I'm ovulating.

Betty- that's happened to me but it's not consistent from cycle to cycle.

I think im gonna temp when af stops, also i got some other clomid questions.

If i take 5-9 when will i ovulate? will i still ovulate around CD13-14?

Should i use evening primrose oil for ewcm? since im already pretty dry, clomid may dry me up more.

Should i use royal jelly too, or just clomid and metformin is enuf?

Hi so i just got back from my appointment.. she didnt order any blood tests but ill have them soon when i get my follow up for the pregnancy at the same clinic. Hopefully its soon enough :/ the Progesterone thing scares me.. As for Metformin, Am I ever glad I asked you ladies and did my research.. The endo told me to stop taking it as soon as I found out I was pregnant.. I asked my doctor if that was right since my reasearch says wait till 12 weeks.. she checked with the doctor in charge of pregnany follow ups and she said DEFINETLY do NOT stop taking it untill at least 12 weeks and asked for the name of the endo who told me to do so. :/ Im really trying to be stress free right now but im terrified PCOS will take this from me again. Good luck ladies <3

May- so glad they clarified that. You defiantly want to stay on it. Try not to worry to much. :hugs:

Golden- I think with clomid 5-10 days after your last pill is when you should ovulate. For me it's always been 10 days but some ladies are different.

If you like grapefruit juice it works wonders for ewcm. I drank 8 oz about 2 hours before bd and always had lovely ewcm. I also used preseed the cycle I got pregnant with ds and liked that. I've never used epo for cm.

I would personally not use royal jelly at this point. Have you researched it? What have others said about using them together?

I haven't read all the posts but I'm wondering if someone can offer some suggestions.

After 5-6 years ago I was diagnosed with PCOS by my GP. I have acne, a bit of extra hair and some of my blood tests were suggesting it. I don't know my results but I think my free testosterone was not within the normal limits and a few other things. I'm a healthy weight and I had an ultrasound that showed no cysts. The GP wasn't really concerned and said when I try to get pregnant and I'm having trouble, then it will be something to consider.

I moved cities and have recently started seeing a new doctor. My DH and I have been TTC since November. I started temping in February and I've ovulated every month since then. My periods are between 29-35 days but vary from month to month.

I had a 3/21CD test done last month and my progesterone was a little low so the doctors rerun the blood tests for PCOS (all those hormone levels). That was a few weeks back but I haven't heard anything back. The doctor said if my blood tests suggested PCOS again then he'd maybe recommend metformin but because I'm ovulating normally, probably not.

My DH is saying that all of this temping, timed BD, talking about hormones, medications etc is taking the fun out of it but he's sick of the BFNs like I am.

Any suggestions? I've waited the 6 months recommended for people with PCOS who aren't pregnant by then.
Thanks
