PCOS Buddies (10 BFP)

If it's private they should do hun. Hope they get you seen quickly x

I hope so. The public doctor didn't really care. I'm not sure whether we'll get Clomid or something else or nothing. Not knowing what the plan is is driving me up the wall

I feel the same. Got my gynae appointment in 8 days and after waiting 3 months it feels like a lifetime. X

Is this your first appointment?
I usually don't cope too well with not being in control and having a clear plan. DH and I are similar in that way. It's been a long 10 months for us and we have been having lots of arguments, going round in circles with the little information we do have.

Please keep us updated about your appointment. I hope the next 8 days go quickly

Yeah it is Sarah. Thank you - I totally get you on that. Me and OH like plans too x

Sarah and Betty- Good luck at your appts!! I hope your doctors are supportive and helpful.

Afm, bfn this morning. Af is due tomorrow so I expect she will show. I think I am pretty firmly in the camp of trying femara next cycle. I am nervous but excited. I just hope o comes on time since I am leaving on the 14th for 5 days so will otherwise miss our opportunity if she is late again.

Fx your timing works out Krissie! Sorry about the bfn :hugs:

Sorry about the bfn. Glad you have a plan for next cycle though.

So I've started temping! Today lol. I'm not sure how it's going to go as I've had a really hard time sleeping lately. 2 nights ago I was up for the day at 1:30 am! Next day was 2:30! I tried my usual Benadryl and melatonin and nada (not at the same time). Last night I tried some unisom and slept till 4:30. Progress lol. Really over not being able to sleep. Plan was to start temping September, but this cycle will go into September, so close enough :)

That's great Kylas. Fx it confirms that you are ovulating!!

I sleep horribly and temp and have always been able to see my temp shift.

Really? That's great. Not that you sleep horribly, of course haha. But that it can still determine ovulation. I'm hoping this bad sleeping is just a phase. Ever since my last concussion I've had a terrible time sleeping. I'll have months of great sleep and months of horrible sleep. I took Benadryl the entire first tri with dd as it's the only way I could get more than 3 hours of sleep!

Yea, even when my DS was waking every 2.5-3 hours I was still getting a temp shift. Now that he sleeps better I still wake up in the middle of the night and my wake up times vary between 5-6:30. I know some people says it really matters but I have not found that to be the case with me.

Hey ladies!
I was doing other non-work related things yesterday than lurking here...
Looking up images for my next project (even though I haven't even started my first haha)

Anyways. I've also have been attempting to temp as well. Since I never wake up at the same time, and the apps only have 1 time to enter a temperature, I've been doing it before I go to bed. I set an alarm, and I go take it.
I'll see how this goes for a few days, and see if it makes a huge difference from taking it in the mornings.

And well... day 4 of my Provera ... this seems to be going so slow :(

Star, you have to take your temp in the morning. First thing before you talk, get up to go the toilet, basically before you move. The whole point is to take your lowest temperature at the point of waking. You need to do it at exactly the same time each morning after at least 3 hours sleep. I just set my alarm for 6.30am. Wake up (hardly), stick the thermometer in my mouth, quickly look at the temp and if I can, roll over and go back to sleep.

Taking it at night will achieve nothing.

Please read up on temping. Taking Control Of Your Fertility is a really great book, but there's lots of info online. I'm happy to help if you have more questions.

Sarah,
Thanks. I'm a goof, I should have known that ...
But I'll try doing what you do and record it that way.

Not at all star. It does take some commitment but it soon becomes a habit. No worries if it doesn't work for you though. It's not a necessity of TTC. I like charting because I can see what's going on.

If you have any more questions, I'm happy to help if I can

Yep, temping for me is second nature now. And I really like that it confirms ovulation.

Afm, af arrived today. I am relieved this cycle is over. I was hoping to start femara this cycle but I have not heard from my doctor's nurse and I would need to start Sunday.

So this horrible sleep I'm having is messing up my temping. I keep waking up before my alarm! Like at least an hour before. But I'm not going to set an alarm to temp at 5am in case I do sleep past then. I need my sleep! Got a lot going on though. DD is walking and so active and into everything! We are buying a house and closing soon so that's a lot to mentally and emotionally deal with - lot of new responsibilities and bills, packing, planning, scheduling electricians to do lights and carpenters to put in a door and stairs to the attic, figuring out the yard, oh my god!

Will probably keep my temping alarm for 6 and if it doesn't work this cycle I'll move it earlier for next cycle. AF is coming regularly so I know I am ovulating as I don't get AF for months and months if I don't ovulate. And I've been feeling O pretty well so 98% confident I am ovulating. Would just be nice to have some confirmation.

krissie, hopefully you hear back from your doctor soon! Maybe call them again and tell them you would have to start Sunday so you need to know ASAP?
