Pcos buddy. Cd 10

Hey Pam, well my af is due tomorrow and im pretty crampy right now. I do have the odd cycle when af shows up really late. This cycle im so up and down. Sometimes I think I could be pregnant and other times I convince myself im not. Tested today a bfn. When are you next going to test?

Hello ladies hope everyone is doing well. I have yet to test for this month, might tomorrow or Wednesday. Bb pain is still the same, and that's pretty much it besides some cramping.

Had my follow up today with my RE. My fasting insulin is high (not too high) but more than she likes it to be, and my DHEA-S levels were super high! She gave me some options and I decided that once this cycle is over, I am going to go on a mandatory low carb diet w/ exercise first. If nothing that cycle, she will put me Letrozole, Metformin and Ovidrel (HCG injection ) and I will be monitored. If nothing that cycle, she has me doing all of the above plus a booster (another injection). My husband's SA is great so we know he's not an issue.. we just have to get these eggs out! LoL. She mention I have 18 eggs in my ovaries that are not matured, it's not good for me right now but when I'm in my 40s it can be a good dangerous lol.

I'm on my phone right now so I'm unable to respond to you all individually. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Hi all,

Even though i haven't been officially diagnosed with pcos, I think thats one of my issues ( i don't want to get it diagnosed if thats truly what i have, because i am trying to go into the military and they disqualify you if you have it)

I just wanted to share my current story and see what you ladies think...

So, my cycles first of all vary but i am usually from 32-36 days and on the rare occasion I go up to 46 days. However my husband and I have been ttc for 4 years and no success, so last month i decided we should start temping and opks. Since i am starting this i haven't been able to test regularly. I am currently at CD58, however I never got an positives on opks, or hcg tests. I have had spotting twice but it was only a very small amount when i wiped. I did see my temp rise but i couldn't tell you exactly when it was because there was about 4 days in between when i didnt temp. I haven't really had any symptoms of being preggo, except the occasional headache when i wake up, and i do pee more frequently, and when my stomach is empty i get nauseous to the point of almost vomiting. At this point i figured i should wait until at least CD 64 before seeking Drs help. ANy suggestions?

LoveIsAllIKnow - I don't find you offensive in the slightest! I'm grateful for your knowledge sharing. :flower: As for my diet... It could probably use some improvement. I eat a mostly Korean diet - lots of kimchi, spicy soups and miso soups. A good amount of vegetables. It's a lot healthier than the way I used to eat in England, but still, it means a lot of rice too. I cook my rice with black beans though. Also, I eat lunch at home alone most days so I often have ramen, or an egg sandwich. :nope: It's a pain to cook proper meals for myself, but I know I really should try harder. tbh I'd love to get my general health as well as my reproductive health thoroughly checked out to pinpoint my problems because I know every woman with pcos is different. I might try to get that next month.

It is great you are mixing your rice with black beans. I found that if I make a big pot of something I can eat off of that for the week lol. Lazy I know. But if I make a big pot of chili I know I can eat that for at least 5 days.

As for me, it's currently CD22. I've got a chesty cold coming on.:nope: Not a lot else to report. I haven't had any more bleeding, but I've had a few uncomfortable feelings in my lower stomach which I haven't felt before. I can only explain it as a tugging sort of ache. Not pain. Just aching. I've been trying to track my bbt for the first time and I'm not sure that it's going well, but I'm still hopeful that I may have ovulated and that I will get my BFP this month. I have about 10 days to wait before I'll know, but keeping fingers crossed!
Here's my chart for anyone into bbt tracking. Does it look ok?

Your chart looks fantastic dear! Also, I have heard about the tugging feeling a lot from women who got their BFP. Congratulations on ovulating!

As for me...

No ovulation. However I still think Black Cohosh is a good option to induce ovulation for women that are not underweight.

I have recently realized even more about myself and I am completely questioning if I even have PCOS. I have been underweight my entire life and I am just now learning that being underweight mimics PCOS almost to a T.

The insulin resistance diet doesn't seem to be working for me. Though, I think the diet is incredibly healthy as it cuts out bad food (refined carbs and sugars) so I will stick with it. I will just not be so careful about my carbs intake as I need weight. My goal is to gain 18 pounds which will put me around 120..I am 5'6.5

I also learned that being underweight stops the production of progesterone. Hints my anovulatory cycles, lack of periods, dry skin and unbalanced hormones. I will also be treating my "PCOS" with natural progesterone.

Per research articles by medical doctors on the web. They tell their PCOS patients to utilize bioidentical progesterone cream. They begin it on CD 14 until 2 days before their period should be due according to a 28 day cycle, and begin the progesterone again on CD 14. If you haven't had a period in a while it is suggested just to pick a day.

This method is reintroducing progesterone into the body and ceasing estrogen dominance. Thus, allowing the cycle to correct itself. For some people after a few cycles, ovulation resumes and the body functions as normal. For other people, they have to continue for a few more months.

It is recommended to use the progesterone for 6 months then wean yourself off, and see how your body functions and if ovulation resumes. If it has not, they recommend another 6 months. Of course one should still eat right and exercise. If you are underweight, maybe just go for a walk.

This is information just from 2 sources. While I will speak to my doctor about this and you should too, I wanted to share. I wanted to share because it makes perfect sense to me, and the roll of low to no progesterone in PCOS women is rarely spoken of as a MAIN cause for the disorder. This is the reason for the recurrent miscarriages some have. The goal is to not be estrogen dominant.

I am no doctor, this is just my research and opinions.

Congratulations opretriezz!! Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy~

As for me, unfortunately I got my period. :( I just finished bleeding yesterday and it's CD7 for me now. So it's on to my third cycle of TTC! Temping again from today and I'll start opks next week.

Thank you ladies! I wish you all the best. Never give up!
