Pensioners or pregnant ladies?

I probably would give up my seat for an old dear, yeah. Even heavily pregnant. I just think they are much more infirm than a heavily pregnant woman to be honest. She or he would have to be knocking on a lot though, not just 70ish and tired lol, but properly doddery.

I really don't see why a heavily pregnant women sould give upa seat for a pensioner -are there only two seats on the bus/tube? A young, fit and able person should give up their seat instead!

I would of felt obliged to inform the old hag that getting old isn't an illness either! If she need's a seat that bad, she should get a mobility scooter or a wheelchair -smug-
Plus there are alot of heath issues involved with pregnancy, so who does she think she is to say whether you need a seat or not, just because she's old we are to assume she need's to sit??
I wouldn't feel bad if i were you, sound's like an old grump who's opinion was already set on 'the vile youth of today'. Have no time for people like that! :flower:

you were in pain and needed that seat, if you were ok you would have given it up, what made her so special to need a seat, well done on being over 65????

would she expect a paralyzed person to give up their wheelechair for her??????

also as a sufferer of PGP i know how you feel............ generally the pregnancy is not an illness people all have had easy pregnancy's with no stress or pain, or have just forgotten how bad it can be......

I feel the same way..

I always us to give my seat up for older people or parents with tiny dots wanting to feed.

But now I don't care. I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant and suffering from Sciatica and I get hot flushes and feel faint.

The area I live in is mainly of old people and before pregnant I'd make sure they could cross the main road ect with ease and give up the seat at the bus stop but lately I just don't care.

I may only be 21 and they see me as 'young and selfish' but I love how they moan about the huge shopping loads they've done in that morning and need space to sit. They've got all week to go into town and do their shopping also for them to get out the house! Ha.. with me I've only got one free day to get everything done..

Don't get me wrong old people are nice and we're all going to be one eventually and I know full well we'll be like they are now in the way at the supermarket, the odd moans when they see their friends ect but I think they need to show us respect aswell not just them for all the hardwork they've done over the years!

Mini rant over haha :D

I stood up today for an old man with 2 sticks and he was really crippled. I was at the front so fair enough but did anyone offer me their seat? Ha.
