Please help!!

If your reading this I greatly appreciate you taking the time to read this.....

This morning I woke up and peed on a EPT digital and it came up BFP. I called my dr's and got an appt today. Well before I left to drive there I peed on another one (just in case) and it was BFP. I get my blood work done today and it was NEGATIVE!!!! Why??? I came home all sad because I worked myself up this morning with the BFP and I got another EPT digital from a different (new) box and tested again and BFP!!! And this was mid day urine and have already peed many times today!

Can anyone explain to me what is going on? Please Help.....im so confused and sad and happy....just dont know what to think.

Hmmm. Maybe their cut-off was higher than the HPT's you did?.....I've heard that they have a number (can't remember what it is) and then class you as pregnant if you're above the line. Maybe the cut off is like 25 or something and you're not up to that yet?....
Were your BFP's light or dark ish?

its anything above 5 i think hun for hcg blood test to be classed as pregnant from what i can remember whne had my miscarriage

floofy has a good point about the cut-off. There is a qualitative blood test or a quantative test. Labs have different cut-offs on the qualitative test.

Also, I did bump into another girl on here who had a valid BFP on a test, only to find out the antihistamines she was on actually had HCG in it! Its one of the rare ways it would show up on a test but not be a valid BFP.
So, are you on any medications at all?

My other thought is that its possible they mixed up your lab results or even your sample with someone else's. Its rare for that to happen with blood tests, but it happened to me with a urine test (the nurse who tested it , just pulled a cup out of the pass-through cupboard and didn't bother to check the name).

You are very early still.... I'm hoping its just that they did the qualitative test and you didn't make the cut-off.
Go back for another test (in 2 days if you can stand to wait) and ask for the number.
Or call and ask if they have the number or just a yes/no result.

Yes, anything above a 5 is pregnant and most labs do cut it off at that...
but some set it to 25 for some reason... crazy I know.

Thank you so much guys! I went and got another test done and my dr in town. I have to wait though.

I called my dr in town and told her what was going on with 3 positive digital tests and the neg blood test and she thought that was fishy. So she told me to come in and get blood numbers done. So I just have to wait.

Lisaf- Im not on anything. I only take prescription prenats and maca. and if I have a headache then I take OTC tylenol.

We will see I guess!

OK they just called me and my numbers are at 34!! I have to go back Monday to see if their raising or not. OH LORDY!!! So my orignal dr was wrong! Not complaining but now im nervous to see if my blood levels go up

Massive congrats. I also believe you would not have so many positive tests only to be neg... my dr told me when I went last time that the shop bought tests are sometimes even more sensitive that the dr tests! Good luck hun x

Thank you so much girls! I was a wreck yesterday and emotions were all over the place.

Floofy- I took 1500mg or organic maca tablets. I started taking it in May. Not only did it give me more energy but it helped with my endometriosis pain. Im not taking now until I talk to a dr. Just in case. Im trying to figure out what to get to help me sleep? Before I was TTC I stopped all my anxiety meds and sleep meds because this was more worth it to me but I wonder if there is something "natural" to take. Like another root based organic thing...hmmm I didn't fall asleep until 3ish and woke up at 8.

Fiesty- im going to make a call here in a few minutes and let them know. I thought about that last night. I would being told I was and then im not. I think thats almost worse than being told your not when you actually are.

Chrissie- Thats what a different nurse told me. She said that sometimes our home tests could definitely be more sensetive.
