Please stop the bickering!

Are you people all crazy?

The moon is a boy! There's even a story how his sister The Sun in a mad jelaous fit hit him on the head with a flithy broomstick and thats why the poor thing is all full of dark spots! :(

Technically black is not a colour and is the absence of light as someone earlier said, but if you're talking about clothes dyes then they are not true black so are shades of colour. Sometimes a bit brown, or even a bit blue, you know, blacks vary. True black absorbs all light and reflects none back (which is also why black things get hot in the sun and white things are cooler). Colour is the light that is reflected back. So grass is green because the plant absorbs all the other colours of the spectrum for photosynthesis and reflects back the green which we can then see. White things reflect back all the light. Here endeth the lesson! lol

But when it comes to hair ;) Lol black is a shade of colour, and white is absence of colour. lol..

Well....technically everything we see is light reflected back at us, wherever it comes from and in the case of black it's an absence of light being reflected back and picked up by our eyes. so biologically and physically speaking black is always an absence of light when we're talking about seeing it. But that is not really mutually exclusive with being a colour. Colours are what we see in our minds really, in an artistic sense I think black could be classed as a colour as much as the next ..erm...colour.

I now find myself on both sides of the fence! lol

Sorry just re-read the joke about the white hair! lol
