positive opk @ 8dpo...HELP!!!

I don't think I feel O pains, but I did have ovulation spotting the first time I O'd in December. I was sooo excited to get the positive OPK and then that night I had a bleed... Not just spotting, but an actual bleed. I was very distraught that night and when I woke up, but the next afternoon the OPK was even darker. Most people that answered my question on BnB said O spotting can't be a bleed, but obviously it can. Plus I don't do anything normally lol. Hopefully your spotting leads to a bfp. They say it is a good fertility sign!

I think I too have to remember not to get bitter and count my blessings. I also tell my children to be grateful for what they have and not to complain. Isn't it funny how we tell them that and we still do it? lol

You know I don't get such dark lines on those things either. I missed the old ones too. I used those when I first came off of my Mirena and got blazing positives. I think they short-changed us on the amount on dye in these new ones. Ms.Swizz gets dark lines on hers. I wonder what the sensitivity is now, it used to be 20miu, oh yea its 25miu now. Well that isn't too much of a difference just 5 miu...it has to be the amount of dye. Could it be possible that the urine you used has lost some it's LH concentration? I know, I know, it wasn't sitting there that long...lol wishful thinking. So I am just going to go with the dye thing.

I took another opk this morning after temping. It's positive, reeeeally positive. I would have thought that it would be going negative by now...But i will see what it does with my SMU instead, so that is going to be at 10 possibly, if I can hold it that long. Here is the pic though...Tell me it's negative. Really. If you do then that means that I ovulated yesterday and I don't have to sexually harass DH anymore. Poor thing was so tired last night, and really too sleepy to do anything after cutting the grass. But he did...lol

Well. That truly answered my previous post! I got a positive opk as you already saw by now. So it makes me feel better about having another today. i really thought I was going to be in the 2ww.. I asked about peak days yesterday, I guess yesterday was my peak day. the ovulation spotting proved that. Just goes to show you that what we think will be OV may turn out to be a physiological, and biological prank. So I guess today has to be the "magical moment" day, the way I was hurting yesterday was unreal...lol The pain shot down into my left leg. That felt like muscle spasms. I don't feel OV pain like that, I started to pray over myself lol, but decided against it, didn't want to rebuke ovulation...lol lol lol lol If my mother were here she wouldn't have thought twice about the matter and would have doused me with oil...lol I love my mother so much lol unintentionally funny lady, I laugh at her all the time.

Still ovulating on CD 15!!! and here I was thinking OV would be yesterday CD14...what a prank my ovaries pulled!

BTW: Do either of you ladies ever experience cervical pain/cervical twinges? Every month I notice around Ovulation I can feel what feels like the dilating of my cervix or maybe the closing of it. Today my cervix is so high I can't feel anything but that it's squishy (for lack of better words) and soft as ever.

I really can't say I have cervical pains correlating with ovulation, but last night I did feel some weird pull (don't even know what to explain it) and I thought that it had to be my cervix area. It sounds like you're doing a really strong surge, so that can only be good! :happy dance: Yea let those O pains go... maybe you'll get 2 eggies out of it! Both months I O'd I had several days of positives, so it's normal. I GUESS that I O 2 days after the 1st positive.

I've said the longer I wait, the more I want twins. I just asked God for no more than triplets at once lol.

Yesterday's dark opks must have been a fluke or some super-concentrated pee. I took 2 sets of opks and hpts a little while ago, and they're negative. Of course they were both on about a 30 min hold or so haha, but the concentration was fine. For whatever reason, Wondfos seem to be darker than the Dollar Tree until surge time, then both detect the surge for me (obviously darker than the control).

I wouldn't say I've stopped spotting, but what I have is very very little since maybe dinner time last night. This morning there was some red/pink on the tp, but it was specks mixed with cm. And I've gotten a little pink and brown today but only when wiping and not much of it. I keep thinking I'm bleeding though, because there is a lot of wetness there today. Not sure why. My cvx is really high and I think soft (can only just barely tell where it is so I can't really feel it). During this spotting, I never considered my cvx low, but it was not nearly as high as it is now and it wasn't very soft. And today and last night there was no blood on my actual fingers when checking... Just some red in my cm last night and pink or brown today. Honestly though I don't think it means anything, it's just weird. And weird is my normal lol.

I usually do feel when my cervix opens. I wish we all had those warning signs. just like I always have an OV dip. That pulling could be the ending of implantation. I felt that for the first time ever with Masyn. Maybe I had experienced it before and never took notice before actually TTC full force. Yea DH and I was were talking this morning, and when he saw my opk this morning he said I must be having a "super surge", I told him that I thought so too. Usually my opk's go negative. But so far its been what...3 days of positives?! I used to OV 24 hours after, so I take it that I am at more like 36 hours now...or this is one huge and long surge. We even talked about what if we have twins, he said that would be ok, I said what about triplets, he said, "well looks like we would need help, the grandmothers would have to come out of retirement." I said we'd defo have to get a way bigger house and move them in...my mom his mom we would need them both here.

I am reading and responding paragraph by paragraph... we are so in the same wavelength...i just typed about the twins and triplets thing.

I think I like Answer so much better...I can get a dark line and there is no question about if it's positive or not. With Wondfo you get loads more tests. I have 20 in the canister, but that's fine because I wasn't testing this cycle but got tricked into doing so.

Well if the spotting is leaving, do you think it could be mid-cycle spotting and maybe now you could just be coming up on OV. My cycles are usually predictable, I am so glad about that. I don't think I could handle too much weird where my cycle is concerned.

I guess I am going to test in a few, my last one was at 10 a.m. So I have gone 5 hours. Trying to see it through until it goes negative. Will post a pic in a few (as an edit) and will be within this same post.

Edit: Here it is 6 minutes after it was taken! Guess it will go negative tonight then? Or possibly tomorrow morning? I know the progesterone is going to kick in tonight and kick my temp up. I am starving right now. I noticed that I get really hungry and eat like a pig when its OV time. Usually I don't wake and feel like I am starving to death, I have felt like this all morning and afternoon.

You know it doesn't matter how much I have drank today..I had a whole can of Snapple very cherry, and this thing is still dark! That just hit me that my urine wasn't even concentrated. This is a true surge. By the 2nd day in the evening my surge is usually gone. This surge has to yield a sticky !! I would be crushed if it didn't, if I could drain all of the sperm poor DH is making right now I would and do an IUI on myself... Poor guy I don't think he has anything left at this point. He is going to ward me off in a minute with a cross and holy water!! No amount of me, and "Victoria" or her "Secret" will be able to seduce him.

How interesting is that? we are taught the strict 6-10 or 5-10 dpo for implantation. But it can be 4dpo. Every woman is different...I believe it can happen at 4 dpo, I was getting very very faint lines on New Choice and I was 5dpo all the way to 9dpo..I finally just took a FRER at 10dpo and get a line I could see. And this is a site that can be trusted with their info..I mean how do you buy fertileAid and not trust what you read on their site. but women still won't accept that 4dpo is possible, or that you can get a bfp at 8dpo. And implantation dips can only happen at a certain time, and IB at a certain time, and it's only triphasic if it starts at 7 dpo...BAH HUMBUG! The good Lord didn't make us this unique and physically amazing to set ground rules like the TTC rules above...IJS. Food for thought ladies..

Your poor DH, Fngrs! LOL... Can't win with men, though... Bd too little and they complain, BD too much and they complain too! Haha.

As for me, whatever line showed in the pics yesterday had to be a fluke. I tested with Answer brand tonight (and Wondfo) and they were bfn. My opk was pretty dark but not positive. I'm having quite a bit of creamy cm and it barely has any brown tint at all, if any...so that's good.

Would you consider me on a new cycle or my old one? I never had a real flow, but it did last about 5 days...

Just saw your post...posting at the same time again lol. I've heard some people swear they were sure of their O date and got positives as early as 6 or 7 dpo. A doctor would probably disagree but they disagree with a lot of legitimate things.

L.E. if it wasn't your normal flow, and you don't feel liek it was a real one, I would say no you are on the same cycle. 5 days of spotting is just that 5 days of spotting and not a real "you know who". If she didn't show up full-fledged then that was the real fluke. You may have to get bloods done instead of taking hpt's. But I would give it a little while and see if I get a bfp, or if this is indeed a new cycle. If this is a new cycle then at some point you OV'ed..I just know it. It's possible that you and Dh just missed the egg this time. And if this isn't a new cycle well "Laissez les bons temps rouler" ( in english: Let the good times roll) and get to BD'ing!!

If one is temping with accuracy, then a bfp that early has validity because there is that in you face proof. But somehow I believe that even after seeing that those that are just envious of another womans bfp will try to say things like that. They can't take away the bfp, so why not just make her question her proof? I hate that people do that to others. I am a realistic person, but I also have Faith and belief in the unknown also. We aren't made this way to not be amazing. Miraculous things happen that even Dr.'s can't explain, so I take some things they say with a grain of salt. I am one that was seeing lines so faint they were questionable...I have pics of them. that's the crazy thing. And that's the cycle we conceived Masyn (June 2011)

LOL. Now that there is no trace of blood then I have no problem with BDing. I think if I had O'd I would have had a real flow. I could have worn a liner the whole time and been fine. I bet I didn't even fill 1/2 a pad in the 5 days. Normally I have to either change my pad at least every couple hrs, and when it's at the heaviest, I need a change every 30 mins or so.... So I just wear Depends (adult diapers) so I can function and not worry about bleeding through my pads and underwear. So yea, not normal for me at all lol. I'm assuming it was just mid-cycle bleeding since this cycle is so long. Dunno. I hope it doesn't come back.

I really do think for sure now, that you are still on the same cycle. If you couldn't fill a liner then that's the indicator. Especially if your cycle are usually really heavy. So yea L.E. this can't be a new cycle. 5 days or not, the bleeding just wasn't in correlation with your normal flow. I am still thinking about those opk's that you think are a fluke though. hmm. You don't think that it just could have been the lack of dye in the New Choice that made it so light? Because I can't get a positive that's blazing on a new choice since they changed it. You may be the same way. MsSwizz is one of the only ladies I know that can turn it positive. Now maybe with this cycles surge I could have, but last cycle they looked like yours but, I used a FR opk and a CB digi, both of those were definitely positive..Even though FR wasn't blazing either it was equal to the control line. Sp you just might be like me when it comes to those New Choice. I plan to stay away from those even being only a dollar, I just can't get a sure answer.

Hey, are those the ones that say..the lines have to be equal or did the box say two lines positive. They are making those now, where it doesn't matter if the lines match or if the test line is darker, as long as you have a line it's a +...I would take a look at that box again.

I think the box says:
LH Surge: Two Pink Lines will appear. You should ovulate within the next 24 to 36 hours. (Intensity of the lines may vary).

No LH Surge: One Pink Line will appear at the C.

The new ones are in a pink box now right? And I think those take what is 5 drops of urine? Where the other one was for. I have bought the pink box and gotten the long tests in a few and the short tests in the other. And then some required 4 drops and some required 5. I never knew what I was getting until I actually opened the test itself, and once you open you have to use that one. I just wondered why they would make two different cassettes that house the test and make them different amounts of urine needed. Which tells me, that the tests themselves aren't the same. The same test with just a diff. housing would require the same amount of urine. Does that sound logical or is it me over-analyzing?

My box says it has to be equal to or darker. I trust it, though, because for me, Wondfo isn't positive until it is very obviously darker than the control. It could have been accurate in that my levels are up a little, but not quite surging yet. Tonight's was pretty dark too. I can't uplad pics on here but I'll be able to tomorrow on the regular computer. It's not positive though, but dark.

I managed to get on the regular computer, so here are my bfns from tonight. My OPK is pretty dark, but still negative for me. Maybe I'll get actual positive opks soon, but I'm not holding my breath. :/

I know the opk isn't picking up hcg or the Answer hpt would be positive already. The pic was taken around 15 mins.
