positive opk @ 8dpo...HELP!!!

And my spotting is back... Ugh. I hate this. It's not much at but it's new (little bit of pink on tp and red with cm in cvx check) I thought it was gone for at least a few weeks. Plus now my cervix feels much lower and harder and I can feel the slit. I don't know if that mean open when I can feel that or just that it's facing down more than usual. If it keeps up much longer, I think I'll start Provera again and see about the Clomid. My body just cannot cooperate. Sigh. Off to bed I go.

I knew I was getting ready to OV because my temps were steady and went dormant (in the same range) So today is OV day :happydance: So we will be dancing today like never before!!! I took an opk this morning with SMU and it was niiiiiiice! So i am testing in another hour. I used answer this time...they are similar to Walgreens strips. I think I like them. A positive is a dark, thin strip on the test line side, the whole test line is wide but that dark thin strip is what makes it stand out. Of course you ladies have seen my tests and not all of them give me a blazing line.... So without further ado...drumroll please!!!!

Oh I learned something else new! I didn't know that temps going ' dormant' means youre getting ready to O. Is that everyone, or just how your chart works?

My chart I've had dips and rises a couple times but no positive OPKs.
The last four days my temps were within .1 degree, and today they dipped several degrees. Maybe I O'ed too! :O *runs and tests with an OPK*

:hugs::hugs::hugs:
Yes, the Anwer opk was definitely negative...:nope: I can't say what's going on with your body now. Those Wondfo do seem to be really sensitive though. They are definitely more sensitive than the Answer midstream. But I think you could used that to your advantage. Have you ever considered just using Answer or CBE Digi instead of IC dip strips? Or even the CBEFM? I think those IC's are detecting lower amounts of LH, I also think if you tried backing them up with a Digi or something, just when they are a true positive for you, then that would definitely confirm your LH surge when you suspect you are really having one. Given that the midstream (drugstore) brands need higher levels of LH to get a positive. I know that was long and babbling. I have mushy brain right now.

Now, the cervix thing, I don't wanna' profess this L.E. But it's possible that this is a dreaded new cycle? I still can't :nope: totally say, "yes I agree with that", question/statement, just because it hasn't been a full flow. I mean we all know that a new cycle starts on the first day of full flow. And it hasn't been that...sooo... I dunno' it could be just breakthrough bleeding if no ovulation has happened yet.

But I would definitely back those IC's up with a drugstore midstream. :flower: L.E. despite your sleep pattern, we are so going to have to convince you to chart. All you need is to sleep at least 3 hours and wake as close to your wake-up time as possible. So if you usually wake at say, 6 a.m. as long as you are in bed by 2 a.m. you should be good. That's my temp time and I try to go to bed by at least 2 a.m. usually I fall asleep by 1:00 but I will stay up no later than 2:00. It doesn't matter if you are a tosser while you sleep. I don't stay in one position all night, that has to be impossible. :dohh: And my temps are accurate. If anything like today I may wake a little earlier, when you gotta pee you gotta pee. lol:haha::blush: But I still got enough sleep for it to be accurate enough.

Well I can't say that for anyone else..It seems that my temps a few days before OV will be around the same range. So that's not true for everyone, each woman is different and each cycle can be different also.. Some women notice a steady pace with their temps whiles others have erratic temps from start to finish in their cycle. I just noticed that I had a steady temp and DH convinced me to opk, even though I wasn't going to this cycle. I also usually have an OV dip..some women don't. You just have to find your usual pattern that is unique to your cycle. I usually have very low pre-o temps, some women have high. My temps go into the 96's pre ov.

I see your temp dipped significantly yesterday. I don't know what you temp is this morning. But you could be like me and have a pre Ov dip. If you are checking cm it should look fertile (your unique fertile), some women don't get ewcm. I do recently and it's at weird times. lol So since you are using the Microscope you should see a ferning pattern if you are having a surge, and you should get a + opk as well. Many people think that only EWCM is the only fertile CM, but truth is all cm has the potential to be fertile. As long as their is CM then anything is possible (before OV).

Well, nothing major happening on the chart this morning. Guess I will know in a couple days if we are 2ww or not. I am going to take another opk and see if it's negative or not. I suspect it may not be... I tinkered with my temps a little this morning and if I tinker this way OV was on CD15 (coverline 96.88), but if I tinker that way then OV is on today (coverline 97)... this has got to be the most interesting cycle yet... Poor DH is getting a dogs life with all the baby dancing. I can only say God bless that man. I better get a bfp, or next cycle he may start hiding from me when it's time to dance..I laughed this morning at my temp, because I was thinking how am I going to tell him he has to dance again after all the dancing we have been doing?! He has been off since last Fri...He has spent his whole off week dancing everyday, sometimes twice a day. I can't only imagine what his reply will be when co-workers ask him how he spent his week off....lol lol lol lol he'll be Beet red in the face...But he won't tell what he's been up to.

LOL at having to explain that to his coworkers haha.

Sorry I guess I should've explained better... The Answer was a HPT, not OPK. Whatever the reason for the spotting last night, it was only the one time and I haven't had anymore. Cvx is back up high and soft and cm is pretty slippery. I need to try to BD tonight. DH has to try to get our hot water heater fixed tonight (couldn't get it working last night) so we'll see if he's even in any mood for that.

Hi guys I've never joined a group like this, been following some posts so thought id join :) I'm 8dpo sore boobs, cm is lotiony and sticky, really uncomfortable cramps. I done a fmu test and it came back positive but the line disappeared after like twenty mins! Clear blue digi said no :( what do you reckon my chances are? Xxx

welcome to the thread zombie!!

Sorry i been away how's everyone?

AFM, i've been pretty busy. My dh's aunt from England arrived yesterday and we have been spending time with her and my MIL. She brought goodies and outfits from England that I adore. I am on cd6 today and the bleeding is still going. My temps are still low which is a good thing also because I would expect them to be low. They are kind of in a leveled out range so that must be good. Nothing else to report today actually. Oh and dh and I dtd yesterday  First time in awhile i must say.

Good to see you, MzSwizz! and welcome Zombie! Zombie, Hmm a disappearing positive is weird but you're still early so there's lots of hope left!

Just had a little spotting again. I'm CD62. My cvx is high and soft, so I don't know what my body is doing. The last time I BD was 8 days ago and 14 days ago... so if I wait another week, I'll be sure I'm not preggers and then see about starting Provera unless I've had a definite surge or AF in the meantime.

What is the most accurate Basal Thermometer? It has to give the same reading multiple times in a row, or at least really close numbers. The Target one was junk!

Hello zombie and welcome!!! :flower: Glad you decided to join us in here. Hope you are as nutty as we are. lol

8dpo..Gosh I am so waiting to get there! It's still pretty early, and I say a line is a line. I think by tomorrow or the day after you should have a definite answer. I am not going to even tell you that your line was an evap, I've had that happen to me. I swore i saw a line and then when I looked again in different light it wasn't there. Needless to say it was a positive..So if you saw a hint of something there, then you very well could be pregnant! Some ladies little bean produces HCG quickly and some decide that they are a little shy and wait a minute or two. So don't think you are out yet. CB digi takes longer to get a positive on. :growlmad: It's 25miu so I suggest you save it at least until you get a faint line you don't have to shine a flashlight into..uhhumm I have done that too  Had a positive though. My pics are on this thread several pages back (March posts). :hugs:

Ohhhh I thought it was an opk!! That threw me for a loop L.E. :dohh: Well. I am so glad that it's gone! :happydance: So this isn't a new cycle. And with that fertile CM it should be a "happy-ears" night. That's what I say my male dog (though neutered) has when he is trying to have a bit of a "courtship" with the female dog we have. Because is ears go up and back, So I call them happy ears for the kids sake...:haha: I hope he got it working, broken water heater is the pits...Cold showers are the pits. Your DH can't tap-out right now, there is a mission at hand....

OMG!!! :hugs: You can't be just leaving us like that little lady!! :nope: we figured that you were busy with something. Because it's not like you to not get on and chat and give us an update. I was so hoping that you were gone on a good note without anything going on. Thank God. :hugs: I am so glad that you and Dh are enjoying your family. You may have to take a pic of that outfit sister, so we can sneak a peak at it..

You chart is looking uniform and controlled. I remembered well after the fact about the vaginal temping...I bought the thermometer covers to use my usual thermometer and misplaced them, GO ME! Then I was suppose to get another thermometer but it slipped my mishy-mushy mind. :dohh: GO ME AGAIN! I wonder if the vaginal temps would read the same as oral temps..

Can anyone answer that? would they be a little higher than oral since they are vaginal?

Another thing I wanted to ask you is if you are charting at all.

Got mine at walmart for like 8 bucks..It has done a really good job! Reli-On - 60-Second Basal Thermometer. I think MsSwizz has the same one also. I rarely buy anything at Target. I think I go moreso for the popcorn and smoothies in the deli area... If I go there is something that I just have to have that's on sale. :winkwink: here is a pic of the thermometer. It comes with a few covers, and a paper chart also. I didn't use either...I bought a box to use or vaginal temping, lost them, and found them day before yesterday. :dohh: you know you aren't the first person that I have heard to say that the Target thermometer was a waste of money. If you still have the packaging you should be able to bring it back even though it's used. I had a Walgreen's thermometer and it gave me the same temps day after day, but being the person I am I saved the packaging because I wasn't sure I would like it. I brought it back to the store and got a full refund, even though it was used they took it back. Their insurance covers that anyway, so they end up getting their money back, so no one is losing.

Hopefully tomorrow morning I can get a negative opk..Fx'ed for that one...I may have (or not) gone negative this evening...DH, kids, and I went to my brother and SIL's house for a crawfish boil. yummy! I did drink about 3 cups of liquid while we were there. So this opk may not be correct, I am however going to lie to myself anyhow, and say that it is...lol If anyone else would like to tell just a little white lie and feed my hope that it is a true negative, please do so. I am going to tell myself that I didn't drink THAT much, therefore diluting my urine so much that it wouldn't give me an honest opk. My story..and sticking to it!!!

That's a negative OPK, Fngrs!! It's not super negative, but it looks like your surge is on it's way down. Mine did that the 2 months I O'd... Had almosts for a day or 2, then 2 days of strong positives, then another day or partial day of almosts, then negative (if I kept testing).

Well I don't know about the BDing... We'll have to see. .

I'm still so confused about this spotting. It really could just be DUB (I hope not) but I'll give some TMI here. When we BD on the 3rd, my DH said things were extra... ummm... well... wet down there. And the thing is, that the last several times we'd BD before I didn't seem to get that way. And I'm thinking it was at least a month that it was like that way. Not that I didn't enjoy it, but you know what I mean. Sometimes your body just doesn't cooperate. Plus late at night/early a.m. on the 2nd is when I had those really strong cramps. My OPKS on 3/25, 3/26, 4/4, and 4/5 were decent but of course not positive. And 4/5 is the day I started the spotting.

I think it may be going negative too (not sure) my urine wasn't super light. I went to the bathroom while I was there also. This test was taken after we got home within the first 15 minutes of being home. I went to the bathroom before my shower to test again, but the urine was so light I decided not to waste my opk on it. so in the morning I will be testing to see if my surge is over. I am going to go potty again before bed to empty my bladder so I will have concentrated urine in the a.m.

If you decided to get the thermometer, I think we all can help you figure out what's going on. If you get it are you going to temp vaginally or orally. vaginally gives you more of a controlled chart, I will admit that. Sometimes it just works better for women with weird sleep patterns or anything else that may affect their temps if they take them orally.

I know what you mean about the body doing what it wants, and cm not correlating with fertility. I use a little pre-seed when it gets like that. I have allergies and take Benedryl, which is good for my allergies but not CM. I had to get off of my Rx allergy meds, didn't want that affecting a future little growing bean. I am really wondering if you are getting ready to OV in the near future or what? 62 days is a long cycle...:hugs: hopefully when you see the doc about the clomid he can really get this clarified about what's going on and get OV going and completed. No flukes, real OV, with the release of 2 eggs (yay twins!!). The watery Cm is a good thing, it's fertile and an indication that maybe you are about to OV soon. That maybe was Mid-cycle. Guess we will see in a little while when OV happens..

Here are my 3/25, 3/26, 4/4, and 4/5 opks just for fun.

Yes 62 days is really really long... but I know a lot of women with PCOS have super-long cycles. When I conceived my son (before my diagnosis and before Metformin), I had a period on my own around Thanksgiving of 2005 and apparently ovulated around Feb. 2, 2006, with nothing in between... so that was about CD70 when I O'd. I know that's not normal but hey I have an amazing little boy from it so no complaints there. And that was after stopping Provera in Aug of that year, having a provera period in August and then nothing til that Nov one on my own.

If I temp, it would most definitely be orally. I wouldn't want to do it the other way. For one thing, our DS sleeps in our bed with us, and there's no way I'd want to have to explain that one to him if he woke up lol.
