positive opk @ 8dpo...HELP!!!

Fngrs, I hope this cycle goes well for me. Last time the Provera worked but I waited til about CD51 to O... I'm hoping it comes more like CD12-20 this time. That would be fantastic and I think I'd have such a good chance! The back ache is definitely tolerable. I like to think I have a pretty high pain tolerance. My gallbladder attacks started out as the worst backaches I'd ever had that lasted for hours, so AF cramps/backache are easy peasy comparatively.

I never did answer you about the OPKs. I plan on avoiding them. I still haven't ordered any Wondfos. I may get a couple dollar store tests if say, my temps drop really low or I get a lot of fertile cm with increased drive or something. Other than that, I have no plans on using them. If I can curb my curiosity completely, I'll avoid them. I think I still have one CBD Smiley OPK here too, so I guess that's an option too. I'm just stick of the "almost" lines and no O. I figure either I'll O or I won't, and if I O, I should have an increased drive, plus as long as we're not sick or crazy-busy we usually BD enough that there is always a chance.

This is probably way too much info, but I'm starting to use tampons... 29 years old and finally okay with using them haha. I can't really tell how heavy my flow is this way, but it's so much cleaner. I still can feel them and find it annoying, but I can deal with it. It's really not any less annoying than feeling a million gushes.... ewwwww. So I'm going to try to use them at least part of the time except for light flow and spotting.

EDIT: Nevermind, I can still tell what kind of flow I'm having now that the day has gone by and my cramps are worse....bleh

I hope it goes well for you also. Ovulating on CD12 would be just awesome. Hopefully the Provera won't make ovulation late for you.

I have been using Tampons since I was about 13 or so. If they are uncomfortable then they may not be in far enough or the absorbancy my be to high for your flow dy. Try the Multipack, it has 3 different sizes, and the lites are awesome for lite/spotting days. They just started selling the lites in a large box. I love that they finally did that.

Well ladies if any of you have seen my chart, it looks as though I may have ovulated yesterday or last night sometime. No wondr I was feeling so sexy...lol my temp was high this morning, I thought yea right and oh no at the same time. So I went back to bed took it at a later time and it was the almost the same, just slightly higher. So those vaginal temps are accurate. I thought it may be high because I had a drink. But I guess not. I finally got those opks today and got 2 smileys already. So I guess we will see what tomorrow brings on the temp. I am surprised and shocked all at once. my test line was darker than the control line on both. I didn't believe the first one so I took another and it was darker than the control line too.

What do you ladies make of my chart? I was having early ovulation pain this cycle, but I thought that was a fluke too.

Lucky?! ;lol: Heck I almost missed my LH surge my Dh went fishing to dya with our DS1 and my dad. I had him bring some digi's home, because it's hot and he was already near Walmart (who may I add have now started selling digi's). Had I not had him get them I would have missed it. I am wondering if I may have gotten a positive yesterday also. I will admit to the brat thing...lol lol lol That I just may be. I am not sure if I ovulated yesterday or if it's today. I had alcohol whice could be the reason for the high temp. I will know for sure tomorrow, well hopefully tomorrow.

here are my opk's The first one I didn't believe, so I took the second one. They are dark. Which leads me to believe that I am either at the end of my surge or in the middle. Both were taken with the same urine.

Seems early to be ovulating for me. I haven't ovulated on Cd12 since January 2012 cycle. Maybe it's the full moon. That isn't a joke either...lol I read something about the moon playing a role in fertility. There is this claim that if you were born under a full moon then full moons will be your most fertile time. It's not full yet, but is suppose to be full on the 7-3-12.

You know Stacey, it's been a little harder the predict impending ovulation with doing vaginal temps. Orally I had those ovulation temps down to a T, when I saw them I would know what's going on. Guess if I don't get a bfp, I will know what my ovulation vaginal temp is, and so will you. How difficult has Pre-Reading your vaginal temps been for you?

My question is..even if I drank, that wouldn't affect my temps? I didn't have wine either. I had a Vodka Martini...ok I admit, I also had shot of Patron and a a shot of Bombay sapphire (gin). I don't drink, but it was fun to do so. I was relaxed when I got home and had a lovely dancing session with Dh at 1:30 in the morning.

I want to wish you luck, but I am not sure if you are going to get AF. But good luck on a lovely visit from her this cycle.

Holy crap that is early!!! yesterday?!?!?! Heck I hope we caught the egg. You guys really don't think that the temp hike could have been from the alcohol? I will admit that I have had wine in previous cycles, and had a little spike in temp, but nothing major like this spike. I guess i should thank my lucky starts the we danced at 1:30 this morning. This will be a historical ovulation for me, I have never ovulated this early in my life (that i know of). I need to check Ff charts to see if this has happened to anyone else.

Ohh nice sticks there i use to have it down to the T but i guess not temping for a bit has me off my game i use to get a pre o dip then the next 2 days i would pos opk them O 3 days after the dip guess this is going to be a long cycle im going to do one more opk about 6 tonight if neg again im going to be done with them till next cycle ill just do temping

If you look at my chart, you would notice it has been a couple of times where i was drinking and im talking about the ciroc berry vodka and we were taking shots (not a drinker neither but it was fun) and my temp for the next day wasnt even a major difference. And trust me, we were totally wasted so if my temps werent effected, then you have nothing to worry about And i know it seems weird to ask for AF But i rather get it now and then be able to deliver as many kids as i want to once we are settled in

AFM, so i took my temp randomly just to see what it would be and it was 99.52 but i know its because today is a super hot day and i have been moving around alot. But i just wanted to see if my temp would remain in the 98s or go up to the 99s. So now i know my regular day temp is 99s and in the morning its 98s. And i have been feeling pretty hot in the mornings when i go to temp. hoping im not getting sick. And i took a hpt...it was negative thank goodness. Will test tomorrow maybe.

Before I read your post, I had been surfing the wonderful wide web for an answer to if alcohol affects vaginal temps. I can't find a thing. I did find and a bit that sid it can affect temps, except they were oral temps. I am just confused with the opk today, being positive but a huge temp spike this morning. If I ovulated yesterday then why the smiley? If I am ovulating today then that temp spike is not corresponding with my opk results. I took another digi and got a test line darker than the control line again. and the beautiful smiley face. Even Dh had to smile at the smiley.

Well hopefully you do get AF. Are you testing tomorrow or are you just going to see where you temp goes in the next couple of days then test?

Stacey- With the EWCM you should be getting a positive in no time. you are using Wondfo's? I would try to back those up with a digi. Sorry I couldn't tell you how to post pics from your phone, I don't know either. wish I did. Maybe you may be ovulating later than last cycle because you had a short LP last cycle. so your body just may need a little more time to get a dominant follicle going.

Fngrs-For you, i am still thinking you are still at the ending of your surge. You probably have a long surge and if you o'd during the night, you could still have a pos opk. I know that happened to me where i had a smiley but a temp spike but i didnt test the day before so i think what happens is we catch the end of the surge but its still a high amount. And i will probably test tomorrow just to see whats going to happen. I was drinking some wine earlier so let's see what tomorrow's temp will be. And yes vaginally, temps dont really get affected. Now, the only time it will get affected is if you are walking around for a bit and then test but any other thing wouldnt affect the temps which i love because no matter what, you would get an accurate reading. Im thinking it will be AF because when i was pregnant, i had mild cramps like AF cramps on and off. I havent been getting that at all, and i had implantation spotting, and that hasnt happened neither. The only thing i get is cm and sore nipples but i get that normally if AF is going to arrive. The only thing that has me worried is because for the first time, my temps are really high and none of my temps have YET to even be CLOSE to the CL. Which isnt normal for me So its a wait and see for me. Oh and I might not be on tomorrow because its dh, me and our nephew's going away party
