Positive Test UPDATED 15/09/09

my best friend has just got pregnant whilst on Cerazette..... thats definitely a BFP, good luck with everything!

Ok, so I went and bought a CB digital test and have just tested. It's negative. Big relief (although a teeny bit sad too). So I sent my boyfriend a text saying something like

"bad news-i did a baby test yesterday and it said i was pregnant. good news-i did another one today and it says i'm not. Very bad news - put the crisps too high for me to reach again and I will cause you pain" lol

So I guess that's it. Except it's not. I'm bleeding more today, like a lightish period. So I'm on my second week of my period and I don't usually get them. Back to my original worry with what happened to my friend. Might leave it and see what changes occur over the next few days before I ring the doctors. Don't wanna make an appointment if everything is sorted by the time I get there!!

Just a quick question... are CB digital and Predictor the same sensitivity or is one more sensitive than the other. See, I still have a slight niggle being that I don't know if technically I'm testing too early as I don't usually have periods!? I have one digital test left because they only had twin packs but don't want to waste it cos they're so bloody expensive!!

Doh! Why isn't anything simple and straight forward!?

digi tests are normally 50miu
Not sure what test you used last time but it was def positive hun.
I always use first response test :)

UMMMMM... I was on cerazette when i got pregnant and always took it right, im now 6 months pregnant and very much happy. I always said the same as you, that id love a baby and thought maybe my boyfriend would think i did it on purpose (which i did not) but thankfully he was only shocked and now very pleased and proud to be a father2b.

Anyway ramble over lol

I would go to the doctors just to make sure hun as you did have a positive and to me a positive is a positive. As Hopeforamirac said all tests are different. I always used tescos own.

I hope all works out for you, keep us updated if anything changes lol

xox

thanks for you replies everyone. I dn't know what I'd do without this website, lol!!

Just wanted to say that everyone seems to have such bad experiences with cerazette, it's a wonder cos they pretty much threw it at me (though they did warn me it's a relatively new pill)

Hey hunny...I dont know anything about that pill as i wasnt on that one. Firstly i got pregnant on the pill with my first and i had a "period" for the first three months so didnt even know i was pregnant. Untill i went to docs because i thought id had a bug that wouldnt go!:haha: Anyway ive use the digis with my mc i had last year and i took one with fmu and it said not pregnant, but i was convinced i was so waited a few more days and took the second with fmu and it came up pregnant. I would test again but maybe not with the digi,i would try a FRER. Goodluck sweetie.:hugs:

Hi.. just wanted to share my experience. I also caught on the pill.. didn't know as I had what I thought was a period.. altho it was shorter than usual. Wasn't until I didn't bleed the 2nd month that I did a test. By then I was 8 weeks pregnant!
I'd test again, but not with a digi as they need a higher hcg. x

Oh yeah that's positive.

I was on the full pill and got pregnant with my first. It's absolutely can happen. I had no bleeding or anything though. I thought my missed period was due to the pill and didn't worry. After a couple months I started to feel funny (nausea) and tested. It was pos.

With the bleeding it could be a very early miscarriage, HCG levels are still up enough to test positive on an early test just after or during a loss.

Basically I'd see your doctor and get them to confirm it with a blood test. A blood test can test the actual levels of HCG, which a home test can't.
