Hi ladies
Unfortunately the scans didn't go well. Baby was only measuring 7 weeks and they said I should expect a miscarriage. I have to have a follow up scan next Tuesday just to check for growth but they said it wasn't likely.

I am feeling numb and empty and can't believe this has happened again!

I am feeling proactive this morning though and am going to ring the specialist we saw during the first pregnancy to make an appointment to discuss the future.

I am also going to try to talk hubby into letting me buy a puppy. I have so much love to give to a little one and it's driving me crazy not being able to so I have been reading up about a pet being a good way of relieving some of the stress.

I'm so sorry Hanrh. It seems so unfair. Sending you so many hugs right now.

It definitely sounds like a good idea to speak to your specialist; hopefully they will discuss a plan for you for the future and be able to help you right now with some answers or just ideas at least.

Good idea with the puppy! We got one in June after TTC for 12 months and I've found Jasper so helpful. It is somebody to give all that extra love you have and also, definitely great for stress. It's really hard to be stressed out or sad when you are getting cuddles from a super cute puppy.

I have persuaded hubby to get a puppy. She is a pug cross jack Russell and is so cute. We are getting her tomorrow. I am going to call her hope. My counsellor has a motto about hope and says it stands for 'hold on, pain ends' it seems appropriate right now.

Thank you ladies. I had my d and c on Thursday. I think all went as well as it could and they have requested further testing so I can get some answers.

I now have my little puppy hope (see pic)- she has been an amazing distraction and seems to know when I am upset. Everytime I cry she cuddles up to me bless her.

Would love to hear how you are both getting on..?

Hi jump. Wow that is so exciting and gives me lots of hope for the future. Did u take another test today?

i tested with FMU and got a super squinter and then tested again after 6.5 hours with SMU, which pretty much looks like a bfn. i will likely cave and test tomorrow but then we're leaving tomorrow night for the states for 5 days, so i might purposely just take one test to use if AF really doesn't show...

I had my first scan last week. Everything looking good but baby asleep and in an awkward position for them to get the NT measurement. So back tomorrow to try again!

Wow that's exciting jump. Can't wait to hear news today of how your testing goes! Lucky you going to the states. Where are you goin?

Loobs - so glad all went well at your scan. I bet it was amazing! Annoying you have to go back but at least you get to see baby again!!

Been for my 2nd attempt at the NT measurement today. Baby very active but still in the wrong position. They only try twice so we are having to get 2nd tri bloods instead, which is what they done before the CUBS test. They also changed my due date, baby measuring 13+3 instead of 13+1 so new due date is the 29th of August x

Loobs, sorry to hear baby was so uncooperative! but active is good, right?

hanrh, we are going to seattle but it's one of those "you need to get here asap" type family emergency situations...so not much fun but hopefully will give closure for my husband.
and ahhhh, your puppy is adorable! so much expression in her face in that bath photo!!
