I was in a similar position with my last two my son was only 11months old when I fell pregnant with my daughter, it was an interesting journey but they're really close now & do everything together.

I am preg with baby no4 and have a 8yro, 4yro, 3yro :)

My little girl is 10 months and Im 7 weeks pg! Congrats! xxx

Congratulations.

It won't be like having twins though, trust me. I have done small age gaps and had twins, and it's totally different.

On the one hand you won't have two newborns screaming to be fed at the same time and only one pair of hands, but on the other you will have one newborn and one probably mobile, very hard work baby. I'd never say one is harder than the other...twins or small age gap are equally exhausting.

The one good thing is they will be like best friends. My 2 are not that close, they are 26 months apart, but once they both kind of got on the same level they have been best friends!! I wouldn't have it any other way. Little bummed we decided to wait so long to have another one they will be 6 years and 5 months apart from DS and 4 years and 3 months with DD. So i fear they wont have a close relationship :(

No experience but wanted to say congrats! You'll have your hands full!

The age gap between my babies isn't as close as yours but i will have 4 under the age of 7 when this one comes along. You will be fine and at least they will have someone to play with whilst growing up. Good luck x

I was in the SAME boat. Only WORSE!! haha. I got pregnant when my son was only 8 weeks old! My first PP period we got pregnant on. It was crazy! My boys are only 11 months apart. It REALLY hit me when we couldnt find a "Big Brother" T-shirt for him in 9-12 month size... It was really hard because he wasnt even walking yet which made going out really tough. It really is like having twins! Iam making 2 baby bottles....changing WAY more diapers. Not to mention I had a 2.5 year old too....so 3 kids in diapers at the time. Its crazy! But Iam so excited they will be so close!

well my son was 3 months when i found out i was pregnant again i had her before my son was 1 its hard work im not going lie its hard but then my son is autistic so maybe thats y i found it harder they r now 6 and 5 and hard work still id never do it again well im going try not to lol good luck and congats to u :)

I'm in the same boat!! I'm 7 weeks and my baby girl just turned 6 months on friday! Although I was a little terrified at first I'm finding tat this age gap is going to be great. They'll have eachother to play with and the next one will come along before the first has a chance to learn about jealousy! :happydance: Congrats!!!! My very Irish gramma was telling me that it's a joke in Ireland that when they're a year apart it's called "Irish twins" something about all the pubs tends to influence lack of birth control! LOL I tought it was pretty funny, but she told the story way better than me! And her's came with an Irish accent! hehe! Lets have a happy and healthy 9 months!!! :happydance: Keep in touch and we can see how we're both coping with ms and a baby! LOL
:hugs:

My two daughters are 12.5 months apart. I love it! The only thing that was rough was that my first was exclusively breastfeeding, and my milk dried up completely very quickly after becoming pregnant. I had to formula-feed her, which really upset me at first. Now I think that her having a best friend is worth her having sub-par nutrition when she was a baby! They are 1 and 2 years old now (will be almost 2 and almost 3 by the time the new baby is due) and they play together all the time. They're best friends. They speak a language I don't understand, but they really understand each other and laugh at each others' jokes.

A lot of people told me it would be hard, when I was pregnant with #2. It really wasn't. Sure I needed a double stroller and I had to wash twice as many diapers, and teaching them both to sleep in the same room without waking each other up was a little challenging at first. But I don't think it was really that much harder than having a big age gap. My first learned to walk around the time my second was born, so she became a little more independent.
