PRESEED question

Okay so I have been using preseed for a couple of months now, but I have always wondered....
Does everyone use the applicators that come in the package?
My husband and I don't use the applicators. We just use the preseed like we would any other lubricant. I have always thought that it gets the job done, but maybe I'm wrong?
Is it necessary to squirt so much of it "up there"?

I use the applicator but this is my first month using it so don't know yet if it worked. I'll admit, it is weird though.

From what I've read, it seems like actually using the applicator to put it "up there" helps it mimic EWCM, helping the sperm get to the egg. I would assume that if it was only used externally, it wouldn't be a large enough amount to act as the EWCM. I'm just guessing here but I didn't want to read and run. I just bought some and will be using it in a cycle or two.

Jess, that was my understanding, also, that in order for it to be able to aid in you getting pregnant you'd have to get it up there. Otherwise, there's nothing wrong with using it as lubricant as it won't hinder you getting pg, it just won't aid in it either.

I want to ask do you ladies that use it apply it 15 mins ahead of like it suggests? I'll be starting preseed next cycle. The applicators look a tad intimidating but I'm going to use them just b/c I want it as close as possible to my cervix.

Thanks, ladies. We never liked using the applicator before, but I don't have a lot of CM as it is so I'm sure that I need as much up there as I can get! Will definitely start using it this month and see what happens

The month that I used it I just applied it before my OH was about to come to bed, then told him I didnt want too much mucking about, I just wanted to get to the nitty gritty so that the preseed did its job properly haha!!! (Sorry if TMI)

I tried to wait 15 minutes, but alot of times that didn't happen. We couldn't really just lay there in bed staring at the clock. I don't know if it makes too much of a difference as long as you get it up there.

Hi Ladies,

Just thought I'd jump in because I got pregnant on my first cycle using preseed. It definitely works! I don't have much CM so I got preseed to help the little get to their destination. I didn't use the avg amount they required which just felt like too much and definitely used the applicator. I didn't wait 15 min either. I just applied and then got busy. Good luck to you all!!!
