Can Aptamil formula be added to room temperature water?

Can i boil the kettle in the morning, fill all the bottles & leave on the side to cool, then add the formula as needed & give to LO?
My friend does it this way (she uses SMA) but i always thought formula needed to be added to hot water - am i wrong?

Well you CAN use room temp water and many people do as it is less time consuming, but the guidelines are to make it with water at temp 70*C or above so that any nasties in the powder are killed. I think it also mixes better with hot water. I've made it both ways and it works fine but since finding out the WHO guidelines I now always make it with hot water. x

I boil the kettle and fill up a flask then I let the kettle water cool a bit and put half the amount of water in the bottles so 2fl oz for my 4fl oz bottles and leave on the side. When LO wants his bottle i put water from the flask in the bottles and add the formula. This has been working well for me however I'd maybe have a read of the WHO guidelines as they tell you to make them up differently.

Xxx
