Recurrent Miscarriage Thread

Hello Everyone. I wanted to drop in and congratulate all the new BFP. I pray that everything goes well for all.

LeeC when I was pregnant I had mild pain in my lower back and slight bleeding. When I went in to get a scan my Obg said that it was nothing to worry about. Stay off of your feet so much and get yourself plenty of rest. About a week later it all went away. I know its hard but speak life to this pregnancy and pray.

~9babies- God Bless you and I got my all in hoping that your pregnancy will be a success. Hugs

I'm currently working on trying. I've been taking 1 mg of Folic Acid three times daily since the MC in February. I will know by the first if I get the BFP. There is something going on. I don't mean to be so blunt with my words but I've been having this milky clear discharge. It's like I can't quit feeling this sensation for wanting to mate with my man.

I was like this during my last pregnancy. I will definitely drop back in and let you girls know.

May God send us HOPE down from Heaven here on earth to comfort us all during our pregnancies. Be Blessed with NO STRESS!!! Hugs!!

Chilli - Thanks for your comments, I am def going to keep in touch with you re the prednisolone treatment even if it doesn't work out for me this time. I'm so happy everything is going well with you and LO, so please stay in touch on here or by pm, I can't wait to keep reading how you are getting along, big hugs. :hugs:

Claire - I wondered if it was implantation bleeding, but just worried with the severe back pain and burning sensation that is accompanying it. It calmed down last night but is back again today, grrr!!!
How are you getting along with the progesterone, any luck with a new gp yet, I honestly can't believe that they said they may refer to Prof Q if you have another m/c, the NHS truly is unbelievable!!! Good luck to you and hurry and get that BFP. :hugs:

Mandy - Maybe I am confused and thank you for your note about Folic Acid, on the strip it does say pre-conceive folic acid 400micrograms, I was given this by my gp and told to continue til 12 weeks, I will ask about this at my scan appt next week, I think if you are right and I need to take 5mg this would mean about 5/6 of these per day, LOL... how much more med do I need to take, thanks for mentioning this, I knew the risk of cleft, so will def speak to someone about this and have just taken an extra one now!!! :hugs:

Fluffy Blue - Do you have a link for Prof Q readings, I have read various things, I had a few questions on my list I forgot to ask her and she is on holiday this week, so will call her next week, would be interested to read anything you have

Hollybush - I haven't had Clexane before, good luck I hope everything works out for you xxx

Goodgirl - thank you for your best wishes and comment x

Padbrat - Thank you, I hope you are feeling a bit better after your results, I can't imagine what you must be going through :hugs:

I hope I haven't missed anyone.

Thank again to everyone for all the advice and support, this is why I love this site, such fantastic and courageous women xxx.

Sorry LynnB, Davies and Lambs - yep maybe we should try our own therapy along the lines of Misbehaving Mums and see how we get on. At least it would make all this waiting almost bearable and thank you.

xxx

LeeC - hope you are hanging in there, every day is like an eternity and every symptom is a cause to worry. Im with you on the fags and booze thing, and maybe conceiving behind a nightclub...
Did any of you take anti-biotics before TTC in case of undetected low-grade uterine infection? Am tempted to ask my GP for 2 broad spectrums, cant do any harm, I havent had much antibiotic in the past?

LOL Ruby at behind nightclub, kebab in hand and everything!!!

I haven't taken antibiotics before but hope someone can help you out on here and yeah, this week is just dragging, I just need to know one way or another. Mother nature is pure evil!!!

Thank you, how are you feeling now? I am sending you lots of positive vibes xxx.

I am reading girls, I have every crossed for you LeeC and all the others with BFP's.

Hollybush I have been on clexane, any questions just ask

AFM, well it has been 5 weeks on Friday since Riley Rae was born sleeping, taking a relaxed attitude this month, what will be will be. It is her funeral tomorrow.

Hi Tasha

Thank you. I will be thinking of you tomorrow. I'm sure little Riley Rae is watching over you with all the other angels too good for this earth.

Big hugs xxx

I'm back here to ask if you Pregers have considered to take Fish Oil (Omega 3) during pregnancy? I have read that fish oil is indicated to be taken during the first trimester of pregnancy for a good development of baby's vision, nerve and brain and most important some studies suggests prevents miscarriages. https://www.the-fertility-acupuncturist.com/fish-oil-during-pregnancy.html. I suggest to talk with you physicians and ask what kind of fish oil capsules she/he recommends. Definitely the ones that are Mercury free.

LeeC the symtom you feel in the back is normal. My OB said it is very common to women during first trimester and it does not mean something bad is going to happen.

Be strong there and don't think too much about what could happen. Of course you feel different because every pregnancy is different and plus you have never experienced a good pregnancy before to know what is normal and not. In other words you cannot compare pregnancies that ended into a miscarriage in deciding weather what you feel is normal.I hope you understand what I have meant and I really hope I won't upset with what I said.

Please LeeC don't analyze every symptom so much. Remember our body follows the mind. Even if I don't know you, I really want you to succeed and I do believe Prednisolone will work, just give it time and try to keep your mind busy with something else. Try to be positive and everything will be fine!!!
All my best wishes to all the pregoes on the site!!!

Hi Carmina, so sorry forgot to respond to you earlier.

Hope you don't think I was being rude.

Thank you so much, did your ob say even if the pain was pretty severe. I am trying not to analyse every little twinge but like most women on here after so many disappointments and so much heartache, I honestly can't help it, but I promise I will try harder and will try and keep busy.

I always get this pain, but like you say, because I have never had a positive outcome I don't know if this is just a nasty nbut normal pg symptom for me.

Of course I am not upset Carmina, I am grateful for all advice and support from everyone and from yourself, you have been more than helpful and very supportive.

It always overwhelms me how supportive everyone is despite their own struggles.

Hope you are well and look forward to keeping in touch xxx

My doctor told me that back pain is caused by the uterus expending. It is very severe like a pressure pain. He explained me this pressure pain is more common to women with Tilted uterus (uterus that leans a bit on the back spine), when the uterus expands. Did your physician mentioned you something about having a tilted uterus?. This is not a bad think, it does not cause any problems during pregnancy, only back pain during pregnancy. What is interesting is that after a birth the uterus will move into a normal position and this mean it won't be tilted anymore and next pregnancy will be pain free.
Hey I was diagnosed with tilted uterus and what to say my friend has it- she was in a pressure pain for long time during her pregnancy. This is a very common thing.

How are you doing hun?

I'm taking Omega 3, you have to avoid the ones that are made from the fish liver, eg cod liver oil, but mine came in a pack with my Mother To Be vits so I know they're OK.

Thanks Carmina. I have read about tilted uterus but have not been checked for this.
Fx'd it is the hormones, relaxin and things stretching and that the brown discharge is implantation or just old blood floating around.

Thank you again, I will keep you posted xxx

LeeC I'm glad to help. I wish I could help more than just words. Be strong there!!!

I'm working on my pre/natal list of medication and want to make sure what is safe to take during pregnancy. I included Fish Oil, Folic Acid, B vitamin complex and Multivitamins. I'm even considering Accopuncture before and during pregnancy.

In rest everything is fine here....just I'm very inpatient to try again for bb but since we are on transition to changed the doctors we have to wait patiently. I'm very upset we wasted so much time and money on doctors that did nothing for us, other that eat our nerves. What to say that even after my 4th miscarriage my doctor refused to give me a treatment and advised me to try again and this was the specialist not my regular Gyn. Last week I have discussed my case with my regular gynecologist and he agreed with my decision.
I'm glad I have made this step and i'm happy this new doctor gave us high hopes!!! Yay!!! He wants to continue with testing and than we will discuss a possible treatment alternative. YAY!!! OMG A TREATMENT!!! I'm very happy and feel lucky to have found this new doctor YOOPY KA YA YEEE!!! I'm interested to try Prednisolone treatment.

Well...at least some of you are pregers now and you will be far along enough to have someone to ask what is normal and not to the pregnancy when I will have my fears and here i include, you LeeC.
All the pregnant - be strong there & wish you all have the best pregnancies!!!

lynnb can you tell us the brand?

They're Sanatogen

I start taking Fish oil from Nature's Bounty https://www.naturesbounty.com/product/017130. I thought if it says it is Purified to eliminate Mercury will be safe to take during pregnancy. I'm going to google Sanatogen just to be in the safe side when I will be pregnant.

Thanks again Lynnb

Hey LeeC... I had this bad pain on one side until about 7 weeks with my last baby.... mine was due to a large corpeus leutum (sp?) cyst on the ovary the egg came from... apparently this is a good thing as it pumps loads of hormones out for the baby... when you get scanned ask them to check your ovaries for it.

I have also heard about taking Omega 3,6 and 9 pre pregnancy... my Hubby will order it for us and I will continue to take my 5mg folic acid and 75mg aspirin.... just in case I am lucky again and actually get another BFP at my 'advanced maternal age' as the Docs put it!!

BFN this morning and then AF this afternoon :(

A bit gutted, I really thought it would have worked this month. Oh well, gives me four weeks to harrass the docs and get that Dr Q referral. I phoned up her secretary who was lovely and by the end of the call I was in tears from shear relief!! She has given me three options to persue but first she will talk to Dr Q and get back to me with what she thinks. I've had so much resistance from the docs that I actually can't quite believe it when someone not only helps, but offers to help me.

Carmina, I am loving all your info on omegas etc. Never even thought about them but am definitely going to investigate. Thanks for doing the leg work with the research for us! I'm adding Omega 3.6 and 9 to my vitamin list too. Ruby, I had antibiotics with my third MC but none of the others - they made me really sick (worst sick I've ever had!) so I refused them with my most recent Medical Management. Then I just kept a very close eye (and nose, eugh!) on my bleeding to look out for infection. I've been to two different hospitals for MC and one doesn't even offer antibiotics.

Anyway, just a quick catch up and I am going to take a bit of a break from the forum. Will be thinking of you all (and I will probably pop in for a sneaky peek to see how you are doing) but I need some time away from thinking about pregnancy and MC for a while. Going to relax, treat myself and spend some QT with DH.

Bye for now xxx
