Recurrent Miscarriage Thread

Hi girls- this is totally of subject, but has anyone used clomid paired with Ovidrel before?
This is my 1st round, and I am 12 days past my Ovidrel shot and getting faint BFP.
I have been testing since about 4 days after and received +'s until 4 days ago, and now im seeing +'s again.
Im too afraid to think it could be true. My breasts have been very tender, I can smell like crazy, not too terribly tired (was like that with my previous pg), so I just don't know what to think.
I called the Ovidrell hotline, but forogt what they said :). And my FS said to wait the whole 2 weeks! That's excurciatinly long! Lol...any opinions?

Hi all. Haven't updated for a while, but know others haven't minded me doing it - i'm now 22 weeks. Had 20 week scan last week and all was fine - baby slightly big, but not too big. Had Uterine Artery Doppler Scan today to see if I could come of the heparin and it seems that all was fine so I should be coming off of that. So having been on 4 drugs I'm now just on the aspirin until 36 weeks. The first 12 weeks went very slowly, and I worried before each scan (6, 8, 10 & 12) but since then time has gone a little quicker. Finally beginning to enjoy it a bit, rather than just worry.

Oooh, sounds very promising. :happydance: What's Ovidrell? Do I assume correctly that it is some kind of hcg trigger shot?

Wow, I love updates like these! There is hope :happydance:
Congratulations on your beanie xxx

Well, as long as you have tested it out of your system...
Maybe give it another day or two (ok, just one) and see if the line gets darker. Oh how terribly unscientific are we! :haha:
Shhhhhhhhhh, don't tell OH!

Lol! I've been thinking all day at work how I wish they sold pregnancy tests by the case ;)!

I buy them 25 or 50 at a time
They're cheaper that way and I don't need to think twice about using them. Right now I'm hoping for mine to get lighter, though :dohh:

Hey ladies just wondering how long you are going to wait before trying again?

Oooh, good news today! My consultant is referring me to the recurrent miscarriage clinic at St Mary's in London. Has anyone been there?
Apparently they specialise in congenital clotting and miscarriages so that is perfect for me. My consultant mentioned natural killer cell testing and something called TEG?
She said that normally she would suggest not to ttc until after all the testing (because some of the testing can't be done when pregnant). Then again, after some discussion (I'm worried about my endometriosis) she said that since I was so ridiculously fertile and if something went wrong she thinks it'd happen quickly. So I'd be either pregnant with a take home baby or back to square one by the time the appointment comes through anyway.

Hi Petipas, I've just had my final consultation with Mr Raj Rai at St Mary's RMC. I saw him privately and he's been fabulous.

I had tests for clotting, chromosomes, Anti-mullerian hormone and the TEG (thromboelastograph) analysis which is a generalised test for any clotting issues. Mine showed that I clot too strongly but break them down easily so heparin isn't indicated for me but 150mg of aspirin to only be taken when period is late/due and I get a positive test. He said it's important as aspirin before then could have a negative effect on implantation, he also said not to test early :(.

I found St Mary's to be fantastic and had normal RMC testing at my local hospital they would have missed my clotting issue as it wouldn't have shown up on the standard tests. Luckily everything else is normal and so we can now go ahead and TTC. The TEG results come back really quickly which is another good thing.

I really hope they can help you at St Mary's, although they haven't given me that take home baby yet, I feel more confident now that it can happen and I might have an answer for all my losses.

Hi ladies. Been thinking of you all. Kat so hope this is your BFP hun. XX

We are now at 23+ and all is going well. I do have parvo virus that is causing some problems but so far not affecting my little boy. THey are doing scan at every visit to check him. And if we make it to 36 weeks without him getting it they will probably induce us then.

Rabbitchild, thank you for sharing! 150mg of aspirin is interesting. I am on half that and was thinking of starting it from ovulation so will definitely time it for a little later now.
Xxx

No problem, I was surprised by the aspirin dose too but I guess it's clear that 75mg doesn't work for me and maybe the extra 75mg will make all the difference. I hope that St Mary's can do the same for you :hugs:

BFP today! So excited and nervous! Can't wait to call docs office on Monday :)

Thats great news congrats hun, what a wonderful xmas present

I had a misscarriage about a month ago. Only about 5 weeks pregnant and I wasnät really sure if i was pregnant. But there was two lines on the test, but I could almost not se the "pregnant line". But i felt exactly the same as when i was expecting my son. We didn't want to get pregnant so soon so it was not a very big deal, but I admit that it kind of hurts anyway... We will start ttc #2 in may 2011. Hope I don't get more misscarriages. And good luck to you ladies!

Hi Ladies.I have been reading through the pages on this thread...its taken a while. I have recently suffered my 3rd miscarriage all between 8-11 weeks....its been a tough ride.
I am currently under St Marys Hospital. I got a speedy referal and results day for me is in January.I was advised not to TTC otherwise they could not see me so I have waited but it feels like a lifetime. I just pray that they have answers for me.
Lots of love to all of you who are going through this nightmare. May 2011 bring us all that take home baby that we deserve.xx
