So sorry to hear about your losses

Have they said why you need to wait? After my last (uncomplicated) m/c I was told by three consultants that I was ok to ttc once I had had a normal period.

Glad to hear you will be getting all the care you need for your next pregnancy!

i know how you feel, i am so desperate to ttc again especially over the xmas period but feel it maybe in our best interests to wait until i have had my appointment its so frustrating isnt it!!!

i hope i get some answers in january and have a good start to the new year.

You took the words right out of my mouth! Waiting and letting Christmas go by without a potential BFP sucks! But you are right, it is better to wait just in case the drs find something that they can maybe treat prior to us conceiving again. Good luck! When are you going to see your dr?

Hi ladies, just an update on my situation (I posted a few pages ago). I got my blood test results back on Thanksgiving and had to leave a dinner at friends to go back to the hospital. My levels didnt go down, they were still the same. Spent whole day in hospital and was given 2nd shot. Today, I finally got the word that the levels have dropped by half so Im pretty much in the clear. I am so happy. But being happy seems so wrong at the same time. I feel like I am finally with a really good doctor who takes me a bit more seriously and wants to start testing in about 4 months time. Because of the 2 shots I cant TTC for at least 6months. But I think I will need at least 6months though to get over this loss. Advice to anyone, If you feel something is wrong, dont trust the docs 100%. I could really easily have lost my only tube. I would really like to hear from anyone who is TTC after ectopics to see how your getting on and also to get as much info as possible in regards to tests etc you have done. Thank you xxx

Hi guys - not in here much now as I'm preparing to TTC PG#4 in the new year after 7 months of waiting! My only reason for waiting so long is cos we had to get my thyroid levels back to normal.

My APS test was also a two parter with the second test being done 6 weeks after the first one. Consultant told me this was to make sure no false results happened. Mine was all-clear.

i go to c dr in january, they have a clinic in december which is full but i will ring up a week before to c if they hav a cancellation., fingers crossed, they just dont seem to have any haste in these situations do they! Well at least we can enjoy a drink or two over xmas and let the new year bring us hope and fulfill our wishes! What tests did you endure when you went to c yr doc as i havent got a clue what to expect, will they test me right away or do you have to keep going back over a period of time?? Good luck to you hun

Thanks! I was petrified to go see a specialist! I hate drs and needles but no other way I guess. My first appointment was kind of a consultation to set up other things. Had to go for blood work the next day (cycle day 3 tests)- 20 tubes to check for I think everything except genetic testing and an internal ultrasound the next day as well. I have to go back on the 10th for a pap and pelvic and then I don't know what's next. I will be so happy when this is over with.

Glad that I too can enjoy wine and coffee! Hopefully your tests will get started ASAP so you will have some answers as well. Take care

Hi everyone! Its been a while since I've posted here, and while catching up on what I've missed, I see some ladies are expecting! Yeay!
So a lil update with me. Last month we went through all the testing. Tubes and uterus-good. Hormones-not so good.
I was started with Provera to induce my cycle, then Clomid CD#5-9 (this month), and tomorrow I go in for yet another PCT test. I may also have to do Orvidel shots. I think I spelled that wrong .
Although im excited and the ball is rolling, im very emotional, scared, and exhausted from all the visits and meds.
And to top it off, my sister is pregnant with #5, yes #5! And my soon to be sis in law is preggers too. I've literally been surrounded by 15-20 pregnancies in the last 2 years. My patience is wearing thin .

I'm 5+3 by ov date but only appeared to be 4.5 at the scan yesterday. Doc says there is nothing to worry about at the moment. My critical time is around the 9 week mark - eek!
Also happy that the chromosome test came back ok.

Congrats petitpas! Can I ask did you do anything different this time, I have had 2 mc's this year and it is reassuring when I see posts from members with 2 mc's doing okay the third time around.

Unfortunately, I found out about my mmc at almost 12 weeks the first time round. The second time round I had a good six-week scan with heartbeat, followed by a good eight-week scan with heartbeat, then a week later it turned out my baby stopped growing at 8+1. So at barely five weeks I'm not out of the woods yet!
What I am doing differently this time round is that I am on a higher dose of tinzaparin (a low molecular weight heparin like clexane). I have a known clotting problem and it is most likely that this is what caused my m/cs. I also take a daily baby aspirin and 5mg folic acid, as well as prenatals (which also contain folic acid). And I'm trying to take it reeeeeeally easy.

Want3bamum, you are a very strong lady going through all of this! What has your doctor said about your losses? Do they have a plan for your next bfp?
