Recurrent Miscarriage Thread

Floridam, how exciting!!!! Hope this little bean is a sticky one.

Ladies, thank you all for your replies about vitamin D.

Thank you and i meant to reply re: vid d. I think my head is a little loose right now. My vit d level was in the 30's i think. My ob instructed me to take 5000 Iu daily as it is supposed to help with fertility and rmc

Thank you dairy and sweet.
Hopeful I've never gotten a positive test this soon and it usually takes until at least 12-13dpo or later to get a positive clear blue. I feel like I'm still believing it's the trigger shot.

The lines of my test have faded today, although I did wake up in the middle of the night so it wasn't so concentrated (sorry for tmi) but I'm not sure it's going to stick. If it doesn't, at least it isn't another missed mc.
Dairy - sorry you are having a horrible time, look after yourself.

Congratulations florida!

Thanks blue. Don't count it out yet. Murine concentration has a big difference on intensity if the line because less Hcg is picked up. Praying you have a sticky one.

I have low vit d too

Florida- congrats! Wonder if multiples?!

I will admit I wondered too. Since I've never gotten a bfp this early. And the iv is posit e today and I've never gotten positive ic until it's already confirmed. I'm just praying for a healthy baby.

Lovely news, Florida. You, too, Blue. I think it is best to judge line progression over a two day period.

I was also on daily 2,000iu of vitamin D without being tested. My sister in the US takes an even higher dose.
Omega 3 is also supposed to help

I am going to stop coming in here as much now. My second steroid baby arrived safely three weeks ago and our family is more than complete.

Wishing everyone all the best. Don't give up! One thing that four years on this thread has taught me is that there is treatment and hope out there for even the most hopeless seeming cases. It isn't an easy road to travel but you'll have your babies in the end Xxx

Thanks Florida, fingers crossed for you :)

Congratulations Petitpas :), thank you for all your advice, I'm really glad everything has worked out for you.

My doctor said it's faint but it's a positive, and they are doing a HCG blood test. Going to try and pretend I'm not pregnant until 12 weeks. I'm trying to be hopeful but not expecting anything.

with mine, I tested starting basically the day after IUI and I always had a line, it got lighter then darker again....

Thanks ladies, for all the feedback on vit D.

Florida, that is great, maybe multiples :)

blueblue, fingers crossed it is a sticky one

petitpas, thanks for the encouragement

Dairy, I hope you are feeling better.

Saw your post on PARL, florida, but congrats again! FX big time for you.

eabwhab-thanks. I'm doing okay actually. Still sucks that I had another loss but my lines were down to evap faint on two brands of tests this morning and much fainter on the other. It's done wonders for my mood to see those lines FINALLY going away.

AFM-omg, do I hurt. First off, I did a workout for the first time in over two years and man, I had A LOT of muscles I had forgotten about. Oof. Secondly, I'm not sure if I ate something that didn't agree with me or if it's just muscle pains from my workout but it sort of feels like my gallbladder hurts. Achey, pinchy in the right rib region and I'm prone to this if I eat too much fatty foods. Which is odd considering I've been eating REALLY good lately and the only fatty foods I've had are peanut butter and avocado. :shrugs: I'm going to see how I feel tomorrow and if it's still bothering me, I'm calling my naturopath. He's pretty good about figuring out if it's gallbladder or something else and he'll get me sorted out.

Lines look like they are getting a little darker but just barely. I'm kind of crampy. But I can't get anything in as my mouth hurts so bad from an impacted tooth. It's always been that way but I guess it's infected? And I can barely open my mouth.
Dairy im glad that the lines are going away. Sad that you had another loss but I keep thinking you'll pregnant sign really soon with another lo. :)

Florida-I'd go get that tooth looked at. I know they can't do x-rays but there are other ways to check for infection and if you have an infected tooth, you need to get antibiotics. dental infections are not fun. I've had 3 teeth that have abscessed and it's lead to alot of spendy dental work as a result. And thanks, I'm hoping for my rainbow soon too.

AFM-looks like the last brand of test is FINALLY going bfn. This morning there is only a faint evapy like line so FX it's completely neg tomorrow. I'm ready for this whole thing to be over.

Floridam, I am cheering for you! Take care of yourself, I agree with Dairy, go see a dentist asap.

Dairy, I know how you feel about seeing those line finally gone. Same here. This mmc took FOREVER. I learned that baby passed on Dec 18. And finally my HCG is almost zero. I have a test next Tue. I skipped this week since I am traveling. Keep your hopes up. :hugs:

Hello to everybody else

Blueblue - I agree with petitpas wait a few days to see line progression. Fx for you

Dairy - you are inspiring... I don't remember the last time I worked out . I hope you're feeling better!

Florida - ouch! I hate when I can't eat. Fx for you as well!

eabwhab - hello! It's a weird feeling after years of ttc to have to hope the test is negative :hugs:

Thank you sweetv, and eabwhab - glad the hcg is nearly zero.

Dairymomma and florida - Hope you feel better soon

Feeling a bit better today. Shoulder and elbow still bothering me but I'm going to work out if I have the time. My mom and aunt are coming for a baby shower and I'm expecting they'll want to stop by. Don't want them to see a cluttered house, right? So I'm going to be a whirlwind of cleaning today and get all these piles that accumulated during tax prep time sorted out and put away. Will be doing squats and lunges in between so I can get at least a few minutes of exercise in if I don't have time to do a full workout. I'll look funny but it's better than nothing, right? :haha:

Ladies,

does any of you has any information about vitamin D deficiency and recurrent mc?

I found a medical article linking vitamin D deficiency with MC. I decided to have tested. Mine is very low. Normal levels are 30-100 ng/ml, mine was at 8!!!
-
If you have talked about this with your doc and got any info could you please share it? Thanks!

I had all the rmc testing after four mc in a row and the only thing they found off was my VIT D. I started taking 50,000 IU once a week for two months, then went to 3,000 a day during summer (now I do 5,000 a day during winter), and the next pregnancy was successful. She will be 8 months next week. It is the only thing I changed, so I believe it is the reason I was losing them.
