lol! the PCOS friends! Im liking it!!!
I was diagnosed almost 2 years ago, when DH and I thought I was pregnant, I got an ultrasound... of course there wasnt a person inside (lol), but we did see that my right ovary looked like it ovulated, and thats when they realised I have PCOS... Also, this last year I started getting "extra" hair.... meaning every month I have to get my brows and ´stache waxed, but I dont get too much hair.
I tried metformin, but it made me feel sick.. Im pretty slim, and I ended up looking too skinny, I was never hungry, and I was feeling weak most of the times.
I have taken my temperature, and realised I do ovulate, but PCOS messes up with my cycles... for example: 6 months I get 32 days cycle, then I switch to 45, then 35.. and so on... My CM tells me some cycles when Im ovulating.
Good news: my doctor explained me that PCOS does not cause infertility. He says that all cases can be fixed with either metformin, or clomid... sometimes, both! He says that it helps you to get better eggs, make cycles shorter, and helps you to know when you ovulate!
He really gives me hopes! I have to get my annual pap smear this week, and then he will prescrbe the clomid... Ill tell you how it goes!
BTW I made a low gluten diet last year, and then I got shorter and regular cycles... it did help a lot! He explained PCOS is related with insulin resistance, and low gluten food helps you! (I did that as I could not take metformin anymore)
It feel great to know you´re not alone!!
lets share how we all do!!
