Sahm mums lets chat :-)

Yeah, I just kept having to remind myself when I was stressed and struggling that this was what moms do. My mom passed away 5 years ago, I never imagined how hard it would be to be a motherless mom. Simple things like throwing a birthday party for your kid - I need someone to say "yeah, it's like this - this is normal, but it's worth it in the end"...I mean logically I know that, but to have your mom, or even a close mom friend there to assure you that it's normal to feel stressed and crazy before your kid's party...

Just another little thing on the list of little moments when I miss her. Life would be so very much different if she were still with us.

Love the sunshine, its beautiful here! Girls are at their dads for the night again so another child free day. I'm actually really bored today. Went to the shops and bought lots of stuff to make Easter bonnets tomorrow (have to be taken to nursery on Monday, it's a bit last minute!) and will probably go to Tesco shortly to buy straws as I really want to try straw curls on my eldest daughter (her hair is naturally curly so I think they would look lovely!)

You've just reminded me I have to make Thomas Easter bonnet. I hate it I am not crafty :dohh:

Bless you, hugs. I bet it was worth it and your little one had a fab time xxx

Hi ladies, hope your weekend is going well. I'm having a pretty good one. It's been sunny and warm enough to not wear a coat! Thomas had his first swimming lesson today. It went really well. He kept saying frog scissor snap! So I know he's enjoying. His OT is his instructor which makes me feel more at ease. We had lunch in morrisons and went to the park because it was so lovely.

I had a letter saying some of Thomas' bloods have come back with a raised chemical level so he needs to redo the test. Joy :(

Glad that the party went well hun , Sorry about your mum.

I MIGHT try and make Easter bonnets with DS :) Or an easter bunny

Sorry about Thomas bloods hun, I hope that hes ok. I love being outside without a coat :)

xxxxx

The sunshine has been beautiful hasn't it? Spring has definitely landed!
Hooe everyone's had a lovely Mother's Day. Thinking of you Topsy, hope you manage to make the bonnet 😃

It's been a lovely day :) Visited MIL, went out for a meal and went to the park.

Thinking of you Topsy :hugs:

Hi ladies i hope you are all ok. I had a mums night out on saturday. Child free of course!!! Me and my best friend went to watch russell howard. Was a brilliant night. I laughed so much. Sometimes its so good to have a few hours of being you isn't it. I put on makeup felt a little dressed up and stayed out toll 11.30 lol!!!

Miss priss i am so sorry about your mum. Its easy to take what you have for granted isn't it. I do find my mum hard work sometimes as she doesn't do affection and can be cold but in hindsight she is a good mum. I can imagine its hard when you need that person to turn to that always has your back and loves you unconditionally. I am sure your mum would be so proud of you xx

Topsy i hope you are doing ok?

Im loving these lighter nights. Really lifts you doesn't it. Especially after a long winter and lurgy season. Hoping for a healthier household for a few months and some nice days. Xx.

Sounds like a fun night Laura. I love Russell Howard!

Hi I've been a SaHM for the past 3 years. I gave up work due to the hours being scarce and travel to and from work costing me most of my weekly wage.
My youngest is due to start full time school in September so it will be back to either employment or education for me. It has been nice getting to spend so much time with them I'm definitely going to miss it.

Hi all can I join you?

Im a SAHM to DD 7 and DS 3. Soon to be joined by DS2 in June! Days are honestly so boring and for me pretty lonely as I dont have a huge circle of friends or family for that matter.

Well today, my one day without the kids, I went and test drove a new (used) minivan, I thought I'd spend an hour or so there and then come home and rest without the kids, but ended up taking a long time and I took a van home for an overnight test drive. I'm not sure how I feel about it.

I'm a bit grumpy, I like my small car-like minivan. This is a full sized one, it drives fine but it feels like it doesn't fit me well.

Do most of you guys drive? I know it is a lot easier to live without a car in some areas of the UK, it would not be possible where I live.
