The one we will probably be buying is a Kia as well, a Kia Sedona 2015. I've been happy with what I've seen and heard about Kia as a brand. I don't know their international reputation.

Here Honda is the big dog when it comes to minivans, to most people nothing could be better than an Odyssey (except perhaps a 2017 Pacifica, but that's an expensive machine). Unfortunately that means used ones, especially with low mileage are super expensive still. If we were to get a used Odyssey, similarly equipped with similar mileage, it would cost us about $5k more.

I think that Kia is often overlooked in my area, and they offer an excellent product (at least when it comes to minivans). In 2015 and later the Kia is right alongside the Honda as a IIHS top safety pick.

Anyway, I have gone off on a tangent, I've posted extensively about safety on my journal, no need to repeat it all back on here, lol!

The Peugeot 5008 looks like the same size as the Mazda5 I've been driving, it has a similar seating setup. Do you use the 3rd row for seating? How is the cargo situation behind the 3rd row? The Mazda's is pitiful, one of the reasons I'm trading for a larger van. But I did find a double stroller I could fit in it, the city mini double fits behind it, barely, better if I take the wheels off. But then I have no room for anything else, like groceries!

Oh and the Peugeot 5008 does not look like a big car to me, it's the same size as mine which is considered a small car here!

I know, our 7 seaters over here are tiny compared to the ones when we go to florida, if the seats are up at the back, the struggle is real with shopping!
The kia sedona is gorgeous, but very pricey over here!

I'm looking into a 2015 model that was only a step up from base model. The base model current year is only $26K, we are looking around $16.5k. It's just when you start adding features it really goes up.

When I bought the Mazda (which is similar in size to yours) I thought, GREAT, it will seat 6! We can have 4 kids before we need another car!

Yeah, right. I could fit 4 kids, but not ERF, and forget a stroller to carry those kids, either that or trade a stroller for groceries. I shop at warehouse stores (Sams Club). I can end up with some pretty big grocery cargo on some trips.

The Sedona is only the 7 seater model, not 8 (which was available but not in used inventory) so I am only getting one more seat, but TONS more cargo space and roomier seats for car seat installs. Even the driver/passenger space is better (for DH, I'm small, I prefer the smaller car).

Hey everyone how ate you today? I am feeling worn out. I have these weird episodes when my heart pounds in my chest and i feel weak and anxious. It happens occasionally at night. I do have low iron levels so i kind of put it down to that but i hate it when it happens. I am laid on bed and little one is watching tele on the bed and has her toybox in here. Isn't it horrible when you feel so drained but there is nobody to help you?

Its my birthday tomorrow too and oh has booked 4 days off so we can decorate our bedroom. I cant wait because our bedroom
Is neglected and it really does need sorting. We are getting new furniture too. But isn't it hard trying to do anything productive with a child to entertain and keep safe? I envy people who have help when these situations happen.

Hm I wonder if the anxiety is a symptom of an issue like iron levels, or if the anxiety is the cause of the attack? It sounds like the kind of attack anxiety can bring on. I'd ask your doctor at some point.

I feel overwhelmed a lot. I've been struggling the past week or two. Just feeling completely drained and empty. I'm not getting a break at any time, DH is working 5 days at work and 2 days on our new house, so he is literally gone 7 days. I feel like I never, ever, ever get a break, or any help. He occasionally washes the dishes or takes out the trash, but that is about it. It's not because he doesn't want to, when he comes home he spends time with the kids - which is great - but I'm so drained by then I don't have the wherewithal to clean up by that point in the day.

I totally know how you feel. I sometimes feel so alone knowing i have nobody to step in at all. My partners parents are devoted to his sisters family who have a toddler aswel and my parents work and are unfit. I genuinely have no emotional support either as my mum is pretty cold and not the sort of mum that would give out a hug or come over. I did notice the trigger for me worrying was the first time my dd got a stomach bug! It was really scary to see a one year old vomiting allover and then 3 months later she got another. I caught both and ever since then i am aware that i will have to go through that again and again on my own because the chances are oh will not be home. I used to feel good. I never ever got sick if anything a 2 day cold at worst but ive had 4 stomach bugs in a year and low iron last year. I often feel worn out and frustrated at how i feel. Is this how you feel? Xx

Yes, completely. My in-laws, used to be quite helpful, but showed their true colors recently and we have been on very limited contact. My dad wants to try, but really has no clue, and my mom passed away 5 years ago. I have two sisters, who have really shown no desire in supporting me or helping with the kids.

Stomach bugs are such a terror for me too, we had two this past season. It is so painful to see a little one throwing up, they seem so scared like they have idea why it is going on.

Today has been a better day, I must have gotten good sleep last night. On top of all of it, I have a cold right now and I'm on antibiotics for a UTI, which cause digestional upset. So generally not comfortable.
