Second hand cot??

Hello
So the mother in law has gifted us a cot bed (just the frame itself as will be buying a new mattress). She is a smoker and when we recieved it stunk of smoke. I have so far wiped it down with soap, warm water and antibacterial spray and it is currently sat in the garden airing in the sun. I can't stop worrying that it will still be harmful to the baby. Am I just being paranoid or should I chuck it and buy a new one?

Personally I would get rid and buy new.

Sounds like it smells badly enough u wont be able to shift the thought from your mind so id get another one so you're comfortable.

Anything that’s been in a house with a smoker I wouldn’t use ! I would worry about it like you x

Does it have a mattress? If so, maybe just replacing that would do the trick. If not, I think I would get a new one because that’s all I would smell
