Sending LO to nursery with a cold

yeah, we were told when they start mingling for longer periods of time, whether it be school or nursery they will get a cold or be ill averagely 13 times in the first year. I'd rather they get that before they go to school. Its one reason I feel sorry for some children who haven't been in a situation for longer periods of time and then go to school and get continually ill - it ust be tougher to face illness and the school day.
Its' the same with uni though, or if you moved schools i guess. there's ony s much you can do to protect them...

Harvey has a cold this week and we've still sent him to nursery. Pretty much the whole class has had it and he wasn't 1st to get it so I'm not too worried about passing it on. It just comes with going to nursery really. If he wasn't showing any interest in playing or going out then I'd keep him home but other than a cough and a runny nose if seems ok.
