I've been getting more nausea in the evenings too, and a weird taste/feeling in my mouth like metal, it's gross.

As for finding out, I think I want to know what we're having this time. Last time we wanted to but she didn't cooperate in the scan, it ended up being kinda fun having a surprise though!

Yes, I get that taste too! I've read it's normal. I say now that I would want a surprise, but I can never handle surprises and neither can my boyfriend. We opened our Christmas presents before Christmas because we couldn't stand them just sitting under the tree STARING at us! We're the worst!

No - I ended up having an early scan with my first because I didn’t have any symptoms. I’ve booked in for one in a couple of weeks time!

Booking in appointment with my midwife today, going to see if I can push for an early scan with the spotting and what happened last time

The only thing that is new for me today is a metallic taste in my mouth. Water tastes horrible.

I had some slight nausea last night for the first time this pregnancy- I fell asleep on the sofa and OH woke me up after an hour to suggest I went to bed, so I did but when I lay down in bed I felt so queasy. Not sure if it was pregnancy related though or just because I was so so tired.

I've also had a few twinges the last couple of days- a bit like a stitch but very low down and to one side, not really like a period pain as it's a bit sharp and sudden rather than a cramping iyswim? I'm hoping it's just things stretching /doing their thing, and nothing to worry about, but it's hard when you've had losses in the past, every little symptom has my head spinning and thinking "is this a good sign or a bad sign?"

ive definitely had the stitch feeling. Especially when I sneeze or roll over funny. Feels like I ripped my uterus lol. I remember feeling that late in my last pregnancy, but definitely not this early.

7:30 has now become my new bedtime. I’ve been getting hit with waves of nausea but nothing major yet. I can only fathom the idea of eating bread & peanut butter though. Last night for dinner I had two PB & marshmallow sandwiches OMG it was heaven.

I have my ultrasound next Tuesday!

MamaByrd have you booked in for a private scan?

As for me, I had my booking in today, everything all well and she’s actually dated me at 7+4 with an EDD of 27th August! Don’t worry, I won’t be leaving this group, will wait for my scan to update page one as will get actual confirmation then! No early scan as they’re not concerned so just got to wait for the routine 12 week one to be sent out, but I will be consultant led this time.

I popped about 15 weeks with my first, felt the first flutters/bubble pops of movement at 16 weeks

I think I noticed a bump around 14 weeks, but it wasn’t really noticeable to other people until closer to 20. I hear you show earlier with every pregnancy too. I’m 20 lbs heavier than I was with I was pregnant with DS, so idk how that will affect my bump showing.


I haven’t gotten any new symptoms, still nauseous, stomach aches, and fatigue. My nauseous actually hasn’t been as bad, but I think it’s because I’ve learned to handle it a little better. At first it was really hard to eat anything, so I was hungry constantly, and even not pregnant I get kind of nauseous when hungry. Now, I start sipping on sprite in the morning and get something down for breakfast. I bought the popsicles & preggie pop candies too, I usually eat one of each of those a day to make me feel better and get some other food down. Mostly carbs & some protein. Not eating the healthiest, but feel loads better. Oh, I have been able to eat fruit as snacks, which is great, I could never hold it down when I was pregnant with ds.

I’m in the United States. I had a scan so early due to my previous ectopic. With my son, my first scan was at 8 weeks, and that’s pretty typical here.

I’m in Surrey - paying for a private viability scan. I’m so impatient - still a week and a half to wait.

Oh boy. I didn’t really get any sort of bump until maybe 22 weeks.. I was tiny & so was baby. But like PP I’m about 20 pounds heavier this time too!

hmm... I guess I’m not sure what a private scan is? I mean, I know they will be doing an ultrasound.. but I’m not sure what that entails.
