Everyone else - how are we this morning??? Today they've started advertising my job here at work, ie to get maternity cover. My boss wants to get someone in early so that we can have a proper handover. It feels weird..... it makes it all so official, and I'm almost feeling protective of my job even though I haven't been able to focus on it properly since I got pregnant!

The other revelation I've had this morning is that I'm starting to feel guilty when people offer me seats on the Tube. I feel like I'm not quite pregnant enough yet to warrant it, so I'm almost trying to hide that I'm pregnant so that people don't offer! Weird!!!!!

Anyway, enough serious pregnant chat......

Shadowrat, first I have to say I respect opinions you've had on other threads, but I'm afriad I don't think you were apologising, coming on here and reiterating that you don't like our name, to me, is offensive. We all knew you didn't like it already and it's fine to have different opinions, but I do think you could have let it be - I can't see how writing here that you don't like our name is an apology, so I'm sorry, I think your post is quite inappropriate, esp when you know we're already upset about it. I wouldn't dream of being nasty about anyone's group, either here or in their own group, so can we please leave it at that? And keep our thread the haven of positive support and loveliness that it normally is!

Firegal, I have yet to be offered a seat!!!!!! So I say if you're getting it, take it!!!!! I wish someone would offer me a seat, I think I still just look like I've had a very big dinner rather than pregnant, so nothing will be coming my way for a while!

On the job front, I SO know what you mean, I've barely done anything in the last few months, I can't focus and don't really care as much as I used to (I was very career driven before, I didn't realise I could lost the edge so quickly!!!) but talking about a replacement is very strange and I almost find it stressful. I have these images of someone taking over and being in charge when I get back and stuff. It's crazy I know, but it's so scary for me - I've fought so hard to get to the position I'm in now that losing it would be devastating to me, even if I have the motivation of a flea at the moment.

Well, today I have to take Henley to the puppy parlour... he always comes out smellin likea puff!!
We're not snobs, but he's a Bichon Frise, so he has to have his fur cut and groomed every 8 weeks or he jus turn into 1 massive lug!!​

I know, I should and I have been until this morning... I'm just going through a phase of the guilts. Especially when people take a while to notice my bump and then apologise that they didn't notice sooner, but really I would've been quite able to keep standing. I'll get over it soon, I'm sure!!!

I am going through a see the positives and what doesn't kill you makes you stringer phase after a large portion of stress earlier this year so I was taking the 'we know we're cool and united so a lil opinion ain't botherin me' kinda stance, so yeah, just clearing that up!!
Firegal - how pregnant do you need to be to justify a seat?? That would be a different poll I remember getting the train at about 35 weeks pregnant with my 1st child, it was busy, I was stood up and me and my swollen ankles were cool with it but then some guy said "Excuse me, can you breathe in a bit?"......
I'm still in bed, it feels very rebellious, I did get up and check on the kidlings but then made a cuppa and hopped right on back, loving it!!!

Same here - my boss keeps asking me about maternity cover, and it makes me feel a bit vulnerable and stressed. Think I'm going to suggest they get a slightly more junior temp to keep things ticking over while I'm away. The boss says she can deal with the big stuff... took me a lot of sweat and tears to get this far - don't want some bugger coming and showing how great they are in my absence!

On a different note - I've been put on Pregaday iron tablets. Anyone got any experience of them? Have I got black poo and constipation to look forward to?

I have been up for ages i just had to catch up on some stuff before i could come on here as i am a mod on another forum and i have been ignoring my duties a bit LOL.

Is anyone else super hungry recently all i seem to do is snack on fruit and crisps and ice lollies i'm not really bothered about proper meals as i have to cook them which is a pain and it makes my bump too hot standing near the cooker well thats my excuse anyway
