on a more serious note, ive just remembered this and am now worrying- is a bit TMI-

last night i woke up literally in agony, it went away shortly after i passed a BM, but now im wondering if it is just related to that, or whether i should ring my midiwife, im thinking im worrying about nothing (ive always been a worrier) but some opinions would be nice. x

Hello crazy lady club!!!
Been offline today as went to see the midwife, have a dentist appointment and browse baby shops with my mum.
How embarassing, I cried at the midwifes!!! Oh dear, and I don't even know why!!!
All else good, although she wasn't too impressed with my having a doppler at home...whoops!

believe me when your here telling us your birth story and how you ended up pooin all over the midwife this will look tame....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dont scare me like that! that would be so ebarrasing, ive been told its quite normal and natural tho x

flmao!!!!! i have always been scared that pooing in labour might happen. which reminds me of my first labour really. everytime i got a contraction it really felt like i needed to go for a bm and would scream at the midwifes it hurts i really need to go and was constantly running back and forth from the toilet (which btw sitting on was really comfy). turns out it was just hollies head going down the birth canal. had to laugh about it once i had her those poor midwifes having me screaming in their ears.

thankfully i havent done anything embarassing as having a poo in labour watch me eat my words when i have this baby rofl.

anyone thought about how they want their labour to go like? i had waterbirths with the girls and enjoyed every minute of it so hoping for another one this time (but as apparantly sept is a busy month watch the birthing pool be vacant) tbh i am petrified of giving birth on dry land so to speak and i cant even be reffered to the birthing centre if the pool is being used.

oh and another thing birthing/gym balls best thing i ever bought with my youngest. from about 30 weeks on i would sit and bounce on it everyday and it really helped her move down. also helped bring on the contractions once my waters broke (and i was determined to get things moving since i had 2 days to go into labour myself or i would of been induced). i'm buying one this time round too (had to leave the other one at my old house as had no room in the van for it) and use it after the birth to get in shape lol.

shall stop rambling now and catch up on other posts. x

Oh dont worry, most people tend to have about 15 billion poo's in the hours before they give birth.... Clearout!!!!!

lol marg that is very true! lovely how our bodies work eh?! x

haha
and i like the idea of the birthing ball.
i'd love a waterbirth, i know i wont be having an epidural, as im allergic to morphine. but thats about all ive thought about so far x

On the subject of the pooing....

My best friend qualified as a doc last year and her first rotation was on Obs & Gynae so she was at a lot of births and she said some poor woman's hubby came for a peep down the business end and exclaimed that she had done a 'massive poo' charming eh, poor woman!!

I must say, after my ex hub was at the births of our girls I would totally recommend blokes stayin from the waist upwards, but tis each to their own!

I don't have to worry this time as this baba's dada is sticking to his wanting nowt to do with me :(

Anyhoo, yeah, shit happens, literally so don't be shy girlies hehe
xx
